  1. Take it slow and easy Old Dog. Everyone here is pulling for you and i suspect there are a lot of ladies wiling to kick your canine posterior if you don't get better soon. Wait? Did I just sell him on not getting better? Take Care Old Dog and We'll See You Soon!
  2. I agree with MOD that the way your question is phrased might be pushing the sensitivity a little. Your best bet is to read the reviews others have written. And remember, no matter who you decide to see, treat the ladies with the utmost dignity and respect.
  3. So with an NHL lockout looking inevitable, I was curious what all the restless hockey fans out there are planning on doing with their time until the NHL opens its doors again? Any suggestions? I know we fans always say we won't come back having been taken for granted, but eventually we're drawn back to that beautiful sheet of white ice. So how will you be spending your Saturday nights in the absence of Coach's Corner?
  4. I too must admit that I was shocked and saddened by WIT's goodbye. WIT, I'm extremely confident you've thought this through with care and dilligence but as you can see there are many here who'll miss you and plenty who want you to stay. Perhaps only you will know if this factors into your equation but know that we all respect both you and your decision. If you do decide to head up the road a piece, safest of travels and all the very, very best.
  5. Best of Luck in your future Spud. Hope everything works out for you.
  6. Best of luck theliquor. Don`t take any prisoners and show this illness that you have bite as well.
  7. My interpretation is that unrushed should mean pressure free within the reasonable context of the agreed upon time. Anything over a few minutes beyond is pushing the limits of courtesy and decorum.
  8. Happy Birthday Jessica of Jessica Massage! Hopefully you get everything you wish for.
  9. Listened to the theme on youtube provided by one of the links and then got caught up watching clips of the show. Not gonna lie, almost made me a bit misty eyed.
  10. Just read that Andy Griffith passed away a few hours ago at his home in North Carolina. My parents loved Mattlock and I remember watching the Andy Griffith show in endless syndication growing up. Andy provided a lot of comfort food to people via television. A sad day.
  11. It seems the only thing he may have been interested in was wasting your time. No excuse for this kind of behaviour. He disrespected you, wasted your time and doesn't deserve the privilege of your company. You shouldn't spare him a second thought.
  12. Canada Day is the one day of the year we should take a step back and realize how blessed we are to live in such a great nation, warts and all. We aren't perfect and we stumble from time to time but we are a beacon of opporutnity and freedom to the rest of the world. Why else would people have left their homelands for centuries to become Canadian? So raise a glass and bless this country because no matter what your politics are or your economic standing, you're blessed to be Canadian. Happy Canada Day Cerb!
  13. Happy St. Jean Baptiste Day to all our friends in la Belle Province (hope I didn't butcher that too much).
  14. And if I remember correctly, the Bank of Canada has been warning Canadian consumers about their credit card for years, telling them they were carrying too much debt. But people keep racking up the bills and miring themselves in debt. I hate the idea of Big Brother as kich as the next guy, but sometimes we have to be protected from our own worst enemy-namely ourselves.
  15. From my (admittedly limited) knowedge of the financial crash, was not a large contributor to the whole thing the meltdown of the American mortgage and real estate sector? That banks and lenders were knowlingly lending money and handing out mortgages to people with very dubious finances and then trading toxic mortgages by the thousands? And when the American economy crashed so hard as a result, and dragged the rest of the globe kicking and screaming with it, how many people who did behave responsibly and cautiosly wound up being hurt as a result? I'm not one for letting the government into my finances but if there's way they can protect people from themselves moneywise as well as me, then perhaps it's worth it. But I definitely agree with previous posts that there needs to be more stress put on educationg people about money. I learned my lessons the hard way and definitely would have welcome some education back in school. As it is, when it comes to money the vast majority of us go out into the world completely unarmed for the challenges awaiting us (this is perhaps the best argument for preventing credit card companies from preying on students on University and college campuses).
  16. I was looking forward to it as well, and the hype leading up to it heightened my expectations. Maybe that's why I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't a bad movie, but the story was a little loose and it's connection to the Alien movies dubious at best (after the halfway mark I concluded it was ignoring the recent AvP movies entirely; maybe not a bad thing). If there is an extended cut on DVD I'll definitely check it out but if not I don't believe I'll be adding this one to my collection.
  17. Just a quick reminder that we all might want to take a moment to observe the 68th anniversary of D-Day. In an age where the word freedom sometimes gets tossed around to describe wars of dubious moral distinction, the second World War was without a doubt a battle against Tyranny and Evil. We can never thank those who fought and died enough for their service or their sacrafice, but we can honour them by remembering.
  18. Agreed. Here's hoping they get showered with love and respect.
  19. Talking to a few ladies recently I feel there's a nasty trend starting here in the Nation's Capital-it seems we're getting a rep for being the Capital of Cancellations. I've talked to ladies from outside Ottawa who are reluctant to invest the time and energy to visit given the city's growing reputation and I've talked to ladies who are basd in Ottawa and are feeling like they're smacking they're heads against a wall. So what's the deal? i understand life comes up and that ladies have to cancel and postpone as well (and not always graciously), but I've been getting the impression lately that this is a growing problem. Is life in Ottawa that much more complicated than the rest of Canada? Or do too many people fail to realize that this is a business for these ladies, who put a lot of time and effort into making us, the hobbyist, feel cared for and comfortable? It isn't uncommon to hear of some ladies who have rented a hotel suite at significant expense to themselves and then suffer numerous cancellations. Bottom line, O-town's earning itself a bad name. Thoughts?
  20. I had the opportunity to spend some time with Gabriella and she is a magnificent woman of grace and beauty. She put my nerves at ease and was down to earth despite her heavenly elegance. Treat her with respect and dignity.
  21. Sincerest condolences. Nothing any of us can say will ease the pain or loss but eventually the dark gives way to light.
  22. Thanks for the clarification Nova. Got ahead of myself lol.
  23. I just wanted to bring attention to a great cause that has just gotten off the ground. It's called Right to Play and it's 30 members of the NHL reaching out to gay and lesbian youth in an effort to keep their morale up and bring awareness to the social struggles young homosexuals face. The movement is spearheaded by Leafs GM Brian Burke in the memory of his son Brendan (Brendan tragically lost his life in a car accident shortly before the 2010 Winter Olympics). I'm far from a Burke fan but he openly embraced his son and supported him every step of the way, even marching in gay Pride parades with him. I've visited some hockey boards and while a lot of the feedback has been positive and supportive some of it has been pretty appalling too (with a few recommendations that I brush up on my Old Testament and ask forgiveness for supporting the movement, etc. etc.) I didn't include a link but thought I'd recommend everyone google it. A damn fine movement and I think more people should be aware.
