    I can't say for sure, but maybe it's the salt in the brine... I think the majority of a hangover is from dehydration isn't it? Salt helps your body retain water... just a guess.

     

    Call me crazy, but in the summer when I get a headache from being too hot outside, sometimes I'll take a little bit of salt instead of a tylenol and it seems to help.

     

    I think both potassium and iodine play important rolls in your brain - they're both in salt... brain - headache... Just takin' stabs here - admittedly, biology and chemistry are both very distant memories for me now...

     

    Any doctors in the house? :smile:

    Pocket Frogs - I didn't understand how this game could be entertaining at all, but I was bored and gave it a shot... Maybe I'm just some kind of loser (I don't have a problem with that - lol), but I was totally hooked on this game!

     

    I just beat it a while ago (level 28, top 5% in leaderboards, 99% awards) and now I'm going through some serious withdrawal!

    Scott gets my vote for the subject matter alone! I also agree with Scott's points - to top it all off (I guess most importantly actually, seeing as this is an essay contest) it's very nicely written.

     

    Wonderful idea Cato. My offering....

     

    I have to say my all time favourite is Gillian Anderson. She embodies many of the characteristics that make redheads so beautiful including what I call the trifecta of red hair/fair skin/blue-green eyes. She has also (as far as I know) always remained an unabashed redhead.

     

    Unique to her are those lucious lips that I am sure must be the envy of women everywhere. The shape of her face is exquisite with everything in a seemingly perfect proportion. Of course not only is her hair a beautiful shade of red it also seems well suited to a host of attractive styles.

     

    I think another stong factor in her appeal to me is the mystery of seeing her au natural. To my knowledge she has never posed nude, therefore much is left to the imagination. In some ways she seems unreachable even to the curious voyeur, which only stokes the fires of my desire.

     

    Additional Comments:

    Maybe we could post all of the essays in the RHAG area, accept considerations until a certain date, then run a poll with the names of the participants for a couple of days. The poll could allow for multiple votes maybe?
