  1. Best of luck in your new career! Hope you rock the hell out of it!
  2. They put on a tight, energetic live show. Lots of fun! On a side note, 2 of the members came into the restaurant I work at before the show, we got to cook for 3 inches of blood! w00t :) Night number 3 at metalfest was great as well. Nuclear Assault lived up to my hopes and then some! Plus there was a S.O.D. tribute from quebec called Fuck The Middle East, hearing a bunch of french men sing Speak English Or Die tickled my oddball sense of humor somethin' fierce!
  3. Some crappy pop punk for ya... But strangely catchy eve 6 - open road song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FM11ckYNz1w
  4. Toxic Holocaust - Nuke The Cross Yes, this really is what the band and song are called :P
  5. Glad you enjoyed it! Emotions are all sorts of screwy, hopefully you make it through to the other side of this bad time a happier person, or at least less miserable than you are now!
  6. dude, unrequited love will bring nothing but misery. Like other people said, keeping a person in your life who brings unhappiness is a sure fire way to mess up your mental health and drag you down. Here's a little Headstones song for you. hope it makes you feel better!

  8. Along similar lines: Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday -Don Marquis
  9. Just a peck on the cheek, while i'm counting the weeks go byyyyyyy, why-yyy lol. The vandals are a fun one to quote. Hitler bad! Vandals good!
  10. The grass is never greener on the other side, I'll sit right here and frolic in the dirt and gravel. -The Vandals
  11. Any cola is fine with me. I'm really more of an A&W root beer or Dr. Pepper guy if i'm drinking soft drinks. As far as with alcohol goes, i'll take my Bourbon with nothing but some ice thank you very much :)
  12. I can't speak for the other guys on here. But personally I know from past experiences that my brain and any rational thinking I may be capable of goes right out the window when i'm attracted to a woman and begin to have feelings for her. Is it stupid, impulsive, and potentially disastrous? Yup. Am I a complete idiot for letting it happen? Yup. Sometimes the crazy doesn't manifest until you're well into a relationship. Anywho, as far as having the little one come into your life, I don't think anyone is quite prepared for welcoming a new life into the fold. But from personal experience with my niece (who is not a blood relative btw), I can definitely say it's a gift that should not be passed up!
  13. The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. -Douglas Adams Punk is the constant struggle against fear of social repercussions. -Greg Graffin I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault. -Jack Tatum You're either angry or you're drunk, there's no in between for you! -said to me by my best friend in a sarcastic and lighthearted manner after an especially long night of being idiots when we were younger.
  14. Agree on the fishing! As well, Mosh pits, cooking and curling up with a good book.
  15. I just got home from night number 2 of manitoba metalfest. So aside from listening to the ringing in my ears, I was rockin' out to local favorites Legion Of Liquor (a 12 piece heavy metal choir who sing exclusively about booze and drinking, how can you go wrong??) and the Almighty 3 Inches of Blood from Vancouver! Can't wait for Nuclear Assault tomorrow night!
  16. Dio - Holy Diver http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64coD-rx9sk
  17. I found Operation Ivy after Rancid, a thirst was thrust upon me and I had to slake it with more! So I researched and found Op Ivy. I love how raw the production on their recordings was, and even back then you could tell Matt Freeman was a 4 stringed force to be reckoned with! That being said though, Megadeth's Cover of These Boots trumps Op Ivy's in my books every time! This thread is getting fun! What's your opinion on Propagandhi, Misfits, and D.R.I.? Additional Comments: No doubt! I have fond memories of seeing many bands come through the jerkwater prairie town I grew up in 10+ years ago now. Being able to say SNFU was my second show ever is still a source of pride. It was somewhat irritating to have those bastards set the bar for live performances to this day when I was that young though! Additional Comments: Ah crap, I forgot this isn't the reminiscing about fun punk albums/shows thread. Sorry folks I got carried away.
  18. I'm gonna have to go ahead and agree with that! BTW, a mohawk on a lady = pretty much the sexiest thing EVER . And out come the wolves was a big one for me as well, before that, I wasn't so sure about melody and ska/reggae influences in punk. Rancid provided an argument that was about as subtle as a slap to the balls and I ate it up!
