1. Any info on this person? http://www.escorts-canada.com/provider/Winnipeg-MB/20546.html#provider20546
2. I've been reading these articles. The federal funding doesn't kick in until may or june, and it's a crap shoot to see who gets what. I want to see if the feds put their money where their mouth is. Criminal legislation isn't the answer and it seems like the police realize this
3. You can find how MPs voted here and clicking the links in the Votes section. Trudeau didn't vote in the second reading, but voted against the bill in the third reading http://openparliament.ca/bills/41-2/C-36/ He also hasn't said what he thinks of the new law or what his party would have done differently. I think he knows that if he supports decriminalization or doesn't support the new Act then the Conservatives would have a field day with him
4. Because under this new Act, people working with an escort can not encourage the escort to keep on escorting. This law is absolutely ridiculous.
5. Supporters of the law keep forgetting that the law has been passed - so they've already won. Secondly, they keep ignoring the Charter and the Bedford ruling.
6. I think she's a member of this board. She introduced herself in this thread https://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=198512 She has 6 posts as of this writing. You could do a search for them (yes I know this sounds creepy). You may have already done these things, so I'm not sure if this is helpful.
7. Sounds like she's trying to pass the buck to the Attorney General of Ontario. Then, if things go south she can always say it wasn't her fault
8. I would have the power to shoot bolts of lightning from my hands. I'm not too into dressing up, so think Brenan Mulray from Mutant X.

This is a beautiful picture!
10. I think this question has been answered by Fortunateone in another thread, but here goes: The Justice Department submitted a technical paper with the definition of sexual services. A sexual service consists of two things (both must be present): 1) A service that is sexual in nature 2) The service is intended for the sexual gratification of the recipient I note that sexual services are still legal. And now that I look at this again it seems absurd.
11. Do you have a link to this video? I want to see it. I wonder why the police didn't arrest him for being a client.
12. This is true. A different link describing this is here (see the last paragraph specifically): http://blog.terrijeanbedford.com/2014/10/04/all-bill-c-36-opponents/
13. The Senate will most likely pass the bill. If that happens then can we write letters to the Governor General of Canada asking him to veto it based on the fact that the process of creating the bill was flawed?
14. I wonder if this will be applied to our non-contact private dances at our strip clubs. It's a sexual service. You might fight it by saying that prostitution laws don't apply to strip clubs where no prostitution takes place (overbroad and arbitrary seeing as dancers and clubs are licenced). I've read that strip clubs in Sweden suck, and Iceland banned them. I can see C-36 supporters being okay with shutting down strip clubs.
15. Has anyone sent an email to Kathleen Wynne asking her to refer this to Ontario's highest court if/when it becomes law? From my understanding, if the court upholds the bill then it will increase the time it takes to challenge it. Secondly, Alan Young thinks that the communication ban can be struck down immediately, but he wants to wait before challenging the rest of it because he's not sure what approach to take. In short, there's no gaurantee that the court will overturn it. Lastly, Terri-Jean Bedford isn't doing so well. If the court upholds the bill then she wouldn't really lose anything anyway. I have an email drafted, but I think it might be better not to send it and to wait instead. What's the point if thr court upholds the bill
16. The SP must have good evidence. Simply naming a person, time, and place wouldn't be enough. If he booked a hotel in his name then that would be useful evidence.
17. Unless she has very good evidence, outing MPs has a flaw: they can always say that that was in the past, they realized the error of their ways, they are sorry for victimizing women and their (the MPs) families, and they are repenting by voting in favour of Bill C-36. Throw in some crying and they are off the hook. The antis already accepted Goguen's rape joke, so they'll accept the outings too. Besides, it will just give them more fuel to pass this law.
18. Cleaning my three sinks. Two of them are pretty dirty. Also, eating.
19.
Jeff McArthur from Corus Toronto station AM640 hosted Canadians Talk Prostitution â?? Did The Government Get It Right? on the Corus Radio Network and TheCornwallDaily.com. Jeff spoke with listeners about the proposed federal government legislation. Listen to the full show below.
Here is the link to the show in case you missed it http://www.thecornwalldaily.com/2014/06/17/8543/
20. drlove, I now think Justin Trudeau is remaining silent on purpose. When he becomes PM is when he will act on this issue. It's political suicide for him to do so now because Harper will attack him as a pot-smoker who wants to sell your daughter for sex (I got that from article too)
21. Joy Smith and her current allies won't stand for full criminalization because it means criminalizing the "prostituted women". Current feminist thinking hates the concept of victim blaming/shaming, which is why the Nordic Model is so popular with them. I read an article that says Joy Smith does not like the parts of the bill where officers can arrest women for communicating anywhere a child could reasonably be present.
22. People who talk on their cell phones for a really long time while on the bus
23. I heard Valerie Scott say that under the Nordic Model the law can compel an sp to testify against customers, and if she doesn't then she goes to jail. So the idea of sps being decriminalized is a myth.
24. I wish there was an exotic dancer thread. I think the Marion has supper shows - I just don't know what time. Also, I think the Nor Villa - where is that anyway? - has shows from 10 during the week. Again, not sure
