  1. Hypothetically If you were suddenly told you only had limited time left on this planet, let's say 18 months or less, what would you do while you still could? Given the current state of the world pandemic wise, what sorts of things would you do, where would you travel to, what would you spend your time and energy on, presuming money wasn't an issue?
  2. No hits on the photos Photos look like screenshots to me, which always feels hinky Phone number is a VOIP one from an alt provider
  3. Sensationalism sells. It always has, all you have to do is look back 40 years ago to the "National Enquirer" . Everyone with any sense knew it was primarily "click bait BS" sitting there at the grocery store checkout, but as a society we enjoy relishing in others' misery, especially if they seem to have more than we do. It validates us. Fast forward to now, and anyone can say anything they want with whatever proof they can come up with, and then later redact it if someone proves them wrong. Unfortunately their original statements live on publicly instead of ending up in the trash and forgotten about like people did with the enquirer. As an online society we chase validation from a global audience, we evaluate our self worth based on how many people "see us" and "like" what we have done. I think large swaths of the younger generation "know" how to tell if something is BS or not, but they don't care when they can gain followers online by sharing BS. They tend to not understand the impact this has in influcing others. Remember, in traditional media, reputable publications needed to have at least 2 reputable confirmations before printing a news story that could be negatively impactful. In new media, those confirmations are becoming more and more "I saw it on Twitter, Tik Tok and Facebook... so IT MUST BE TRUE". Even if all 3 of those sources were originating from a single source.
  4. As far as the impact to politics, I feel that at this point in time, there aren't too many politicians that don't have access to significant funding, depending of course on what level of politician we are talking about. This somewhat levels the playing field when it comes to access to media (traditional and tech oriented / social media). Where the difference comes in would be how the team's use these tools. Outside of politics, social media does tend to guide peoples opinions. I think all of us have been victim to this at some point on either side of the equation. Generally we as a society will take what we see on various online platforms as "truth" until it's proven to be false. This is the real problem IMHO. It's very difficult to change someones opinion after its been ingrained into them for a period of time. People don't want to feel "stupid" for believing something for so long and so strongly that it's hard to get them to switch gears. As for a bigger divide, I think that the divide has always been there, but now everyone has access to the same platforms. If I have an opinion on something - say.. oxygen is causing more deaths than ever before! - within 5 minutes, I can share that opinion worldwide across multiple social media platforms. I think it's pretty much given that more controversial statements are spread more quickly as shock sells and everyone is chasing likes/upvotes for validation. I often think of a line from Letterkenny when this type of topic comes up. "Bad gas travels fast in a small town". Our small town is now the world. We do have a responsibility to stop letting ridiculousness spreading widely, but the release of chemicals in our bodies that we get from someone validating us online is addictive so we just can't stop. Access to these tools is very democratic. What we do with this access a lot of the time is not.
  5. After the recent defeat of the liberal government here in NS, I do have concerns that a "blue wave" might carry through federally as well. The last federal conservative government saw - the science community gagged and fired if they spoke out - all sitting politicians unable to speak publicly without first being validated by the PM's communication office And the list goes on and on. https://thetyee.ca/Opinion/2015/08/10/Harper-Abuses-of-Power-Final/ I think most can agree that while the liberal government hasn't done a lot of concrete measurable net positive things for both the sex worker community and the LGBTQ++++ community, at least things haven't slid backwards in time. I have fears of the country turning into a lighter friendlier version of the US under Trump should O'Toole win. Lighter and friendlier here means the right wing folks will say please and thank you when they are spouting slurs at any marginalized community they take issue with. I think we'll also see a shift from science to "I feel like" again.
  6. Well, in crypto, for most cases, every transaction is viewable by everyone so it's pretty open and transparent. Please stop spreading FUD, using phrases like "those who use it the most are not always the type of people you want to hang with. " when you don't understand the technology and are basing opinions on what you've read in various articles posted on news sites owned by the same 1% I was mentioning before. Anyway. Back to not spreading FUD about Onlyfans and their new policies!
  7. Totally agree, which is one of the reasons that I'm so pro "crypto" Like it or not, we have built a society that lives and dies at the whim of the 1% that control the money in the world. This is simply another example of them exercising their power over others doing things they "publicly" don't like. On the other side of their equation, how many of those in a position of power do you think have privately engaged in procurement of sex workers in one form or another?
  8. Best advice Talk to providers from here that have recommendations. Talk to providers with a real online presence. When talking to providers, talk to them like they're human beings. Do your research first and follow their guidelines. If you feel uncomfortable about a situation, politely take yourself out of the situation. Yes there are a lot of scams out there in the industry, from both sides of the equation (client & provider).
  9. The articles talk about payment providers not willing to continue working with OF unless they got rid of the pornography/sexually explicit aspect. It sounds more like an income problem than any sort of "crackdown" on anything. Traditional financial organizations keep their control and influence over almost everything. Still, I don't think this is a reason to panic, but it will have an impact on those content creators that rely on certain content to bring in the subs.
  10. This is blowing up all over social media so I figured we need a discussion point on it. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-08-19/onlyfans-to-block-sexually-explicit-videos-starting-in-october The thing to note is that only "sexually explicit" content is being banned. Nudity is still allowed within their specific rules, which includes jurisdictional restrictions for public nudity. Just posting because the sentiment all over social media right now is "everything is banned" without people actually reading the articles.
  11. This is similar to my experience as well, unfortunately not the last part. If anything I've been told how horrible I am at it on many occasions

  14. Look like the photos belong to this person who advertises in Toronto and has an OF https://www.leolist.cc/personals/female-escorts/greater-toronto/city_toronto_onlyfans_latina_mami-6391804 https://linktr.ee/babychula Probably not legit as the local ad details are different
  15. Hey folks This past year and a half has been rough on all of us, all the fear, uncertainty and doubt really plays tricks on our heads and impacts our mental wellbeing. I know personally that I've had a number of weeks where I felt isolated, depressed, and had trouble functioning throughout the days. I've posted about this here a month or so ago, as have others. That feeling can really compound by not having someone you can talk to about how you're feeling. Before all this pandemic stuff happened, about 5 years ago, I went through a very terrible time. I won't go into details as to what triggered it, but I spent about 3 - 4 months where I was suicidal every minute of every day. I had my way out planned, I had the means to end it. And every day I managed to not do it. I was mostly alone. But I did have people checking on me daily. Making sure I had someone to talk to. It took a lot of hard work to pull myself out of that. At the time I didn't think my life was worth living. I didn't think it would ever be worth living again. But as I look back now - 5 years later and after a milestone birthday, I realize that I'm doing better than I ever had been doing before in my life. Life is good. I know who the people in my life are that both care about me and that I care about. Conversely I know who not to worry about any longer. So why am I going into all of this now? I know people are still struggling out there. People need that person to talk to. Probably some people who frequent this forum. If this is you, if you are struggling at all, please contact me. I WILL listen to you. I WILL be here for you. I've been where you are. I know the value of having someone. Well that's it for me. I'm here, ready to listen.
  16. Got my second dose last week, my mobile signal has been at 5G since Saturday and every time I walk by the fridge my shoulder where I got the shot is magnetically attracted to it.
  17. The photo was taken from this provider listed as being in Halifax and/or Toronto. https://www.cityoflove.com/detail.aspx?lang=en-US&dID=483065&dStaffID=0&Digest=svSeuz1/U7yXus245u30dg&c=2763 And with the "fuzzy leolist logo" I'm guessing it was taken from her leolist ad, uploaded back to LL and then presented as their own. Same name and number so it could be her still, but if it is, it's weird that it's a double uploaded.
  18. I went through something similar recently, so I know how you're feeling. For me, the only way I dug out of it was to take it an hour at a time. Try to find something that calms you or brings you even the smallest amount of joy. And focus on that until you get through the hour. Then repeat that. When you start handling the hours, then focus on the days. Take your time, theres no rush, go at the pace that works best for you. Find small things, simple things. Work on getting yourself outside and around people. Being around people can be very healing. Even if you aren't interacting with them, just being around other people, seeing what they are doing, seeing that you're not so different from them, it all helps a little bit. Go get yourself a treat. Ice cream, coffee, a donut. A burger, whatever it is that counts as a treat to you. It takes time. It takes effort. It's nothing to be ashamed of, pretty much everyone deals with it to some degree at some point in their life. You're not alone, you have a community here and elsewhere that will listen to you and bring you up.
