Lyla ads across the country

Came across a post from a member from the Maritimes who mentioned the lack of SPs who advertise down East and how Ottawa has a lot.

 

Does anyone know if there is a history of why most ads on Lyla happen to be for the Ottawa area with just a sprinkling of ads for the rest of the country?

 

We all know the weakness of other sites such as BP that allow certain persons to fraudulently use other persons photos, which allows B&S to continue to the detriment of legitimate providers and clients alike.

 

Also, other boards exist, but in my view they allow too much abusive and gratuitous comments about the ladies who are mentioned there. Lyla's posting rules and enforcement are effective in keeping the tone respectful and positive.

 

It would be great if advertising on Lyla caught on more for providers in other regions as it provides a safe and reputable venue with many lovely ladies and great clients to communicate, get to know one another and arrange meetings! Lyla also provides a positive environment for recommendations about providers, which is essential to avoid an otherwise hit-or-miss process. It is also a great place to exchange on a wide variety of other subjects and interests.

 

One of the most important factors holding men back from contacting providers, other than C-31 and financial restrictions is the uncertainty about whether the girl opening the door will be the one in the ad. Lyla goes a long way in eliminating that uncertainty.

There is also a lack of advertising for the Quebec region(Montreal) I do see a few but they are far in between. When I visit that part of the country I will look at BP for ideas on who to see.

Which came the first the chicken or the egg? Girls won't advertise unless there is a market. Guys don't want a sausage fest.. so who blinks first?

 

What does it take to be the greatest (board)? Ask any girl on here ... then ask other girls. Everybody has their market and their preference for an information type and source.

 

To get the girls to come first, they have to educate themselves on the ins and outs of advertising on this board. It's very tricky. And delicate. It involves learning how to communicate in a extremely discrete way and punishment will ensue if done incorrectly. For girls who charge a lot for their time, they may have more free time or experience to teach themselves in a timely manner. For girls just learning how to do it, they may not have the time to invest. It's not as easy as it looks. And if too much time is invested without the proper reward, then it becomes more of a hindrance then a help.

 

And sometimes trying to get recommendations etc is a slippery slope as it involves begging (feels like begging) and time during or after an appt to ask (request) someone speak about them on a board so they can become authentic. Alot of guys don't speak about their experience, never have, never will. So..no recommendations etc, no extra bookings..no reward.

 

Also this is already set up to service Ottawa mainly so how can any other girls hope to break in?

Lyla has always been a heavily base Ottawa market even 6 years ago. It still hasn't change. Some eastern provinces and cities, since there is no m-t-p board at all for them.

 

The prairies have their own boards, west coast also, Toronto is heavily on t-board and same as montreal.

 

When you never get clients from one board in your own city you feel tired of advertising on it and trying to engage online and in other threads when the really odd chance of maybe getting a client who is travelling to your city.

 

Almost all the providers are getting on twitter nowadays , especially in the Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal corridor.

I think part of the problem is that new ladies who try this out as an advertising medium often don't fully understand what it is, and conversely what it isn't. They are often used to bp and other similar sites with immediate payoff for placing an ad. Lyla doesn't tend to offer the same instant reward for a single ad, at least from what I observe on the East Coast. Many will try an ad or two, chalk it up to ineffective and move on. The ladies who find this site the most effective in contrast are the ones who engage in the discussions, voice opinions, and become members of the community. They let us get to know them a bit so to speak. This takes time and effort.

 

I think Ottawa in contrast has somehow managed to reach that critical mass that is self sustaining. There are enough ladies advertising that the gents come back and there are enough gents that the ladies get the benefit a bit sooner from the ads. We just have to figure out how to achieve that self sustaining volume in other parts.
