I think I would order: Beverage: triple baileys on the rocks Appetizer: cajun chicken wings, tiger shrimp and cocktail sauce Salad: Greek Salad Meal: Lobster Tail (with lots of melted butter for dipping), garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli, pan-fried mushrooms Dessert: Puffed pastry (mille feuille) with whipped cream and custard. But then again I would actually have to eat the stuff that she used to make, suffering horrible gastronomic consequences and death would be welcome. Soooooooo.... Drinks: A spicy Bloody Caesar. Sure it will give me heartburn, but since I am going to the chair or to the firing squad, the pain will only be short term. Appetizer: Bacon wrapped bacon. No one said it had to be high class. The main course: In honour of the Superbowl and despite my allegiance to the Packers, I present - The Sloppy Roethlisberger - Epic Meal Time Dessert: Something, large sinful and chocolate. Hell no. A real nice T bone steak medium rare, lots of mushrooms, onions, baked potatoe with the works. Don't have to care about cholesterol any more. The last time I looked, it was 18 courses (the courses are about the size of a golf ball) and it was a prix fixe at $270. Oh yes, and whatever wines struck my fancy. Beverage: a bottle of "Menage a trois" red wine, from the Folie a deux winery in california, A potato and leek soup; As a main, a nice steak-frites, with a side of mushrooms and onions cooked in a cast iron pan with butter, accompanied by a glass of more wine; Finished by a slice of key lime pie, and a good cup of coffee. So my last menu would be: Beverage: a good Barolo wine to begin: fresh oysters with a dash of lime or horscheradish( I know it's not so Italian but I cant help it ) then: an Osso Bucco alla milanese and a nice Risotto with truffle salad: fresh tomatoes with fresh mozzarella to finish : a Tiramisu cake and at the end after a nice espresso coffee, why not a glass of Limoncello chilled to the perfection Heaven ! KOD had first tried selling Greek Gyro sandwiches, but in 1973 replaced the lamb with beef and the tzatziki with sweet garlic sauce. Voila: the Donair. The Donair meat is sliced from a large loaf cooked on a spit. It's made from a combination of ground beef, flour or bread crumbs, and various spices. The sweet sauce is made from evaporated milk, sugar, vinegar, and garlic. The meat and sauce are served rolled in a flat-bread pita with diced tomato and onion. I was wondering if anyone to the west would have had one as they are so native to Halifax. I had something in Ontario once called a gyrno and it said on the menu it was a copy of the Halifax donair.
