I say as long as you're upfront about the situation, go nuts. Alternatively, you could also attract those rare fetishists who dig sleeping with a woman on her period. I know I have a few clients who enjoy this type of service.

I was just going to reply asking why wouldn't you always have non-fs options at a lower rate. That would cover all the guys who are never interested in fs. I don't agree ever that non-fs sessions should be the same rate as fs with gfe sessions, unless you are doing a kind of gfe non-fs option with kissing, cuddling, bj, daty (assuming not that time of the month, just that you offer the non fs all the time).

I think you'd be surprised how much interest you would have in the non-fs option, by which I don't mean a quickie bj at half rate, but a full on erotic massage encounter with a non-fs finish. It's worth a lot to the right clientele, and that clientele is not the same as fs guys or bj guys.

I have a lot of non -full service clients so I will see them on these days but I really don't feel well or have much energy during that time for lots of action. Thankfully, it only lasts 3 days for me.

As for birth control. there are many options that actually can make your period worse with painful cramps. A good example of this is the IUD. Having had one before, I had to have it removed because it was so bad.

This may seem a bit weird, but have you ever looked into other types of birth control? Not for the pregnancy protection part (although that is a nice perk) but some types prevent menstration. Some pill types, IUDs, depo can effectively get rid of your period all together. Now, if you like the time off from sex during that time, that is great, but from a business point of view it would give you several extra working days every 28.

It's a personal choice, doctors can be wrong about the side affects years later when its to late..:(

I do however use continuous because I don't want to deal with all the side affects each month and in general just being uncomfortable.. I choose to have a period twice a year and love it!! (It's hard to get over the idea that there is something inside you that is supposed to be coming out and it's just sitting in there)

*Also side affect of doing this is weight issue your body ends up with so much estrogen.. Which in a female body means you will store more fat.. Not a lot of women are happy about something like that. It can also prolong menopause.. So you actually end up having a period for longer than your body intended (because as a contraceptive is created the illusion you are pregnant to your body, you then don't release the eggs you normally would and menopause is brought on by your body no longer having eggs to release)

I would suggest any SP's who are interested in this have a nice long consultation with their doctor and find out the pro's and con's before rushing into it. I had personal reasons that may not be the same for everyone.

Wow, this went well.

I'm so happy that this thread went so well. In the end being part of this kind of service will bring mixed reviews. Which is okey because not everyone is going to like every kind of service. Thank you guys for giving me your opinions and being part of my poll. It was truly helpful.

I don't have these issues anymore, thank goodness. I would get so sick I would be in the hospital for a week each month! Before my surgery I would not let anyone touch me, due to pain and feeling so sick all the time. For me I was sick the week before, during and after! Turned out I had serious medical issues that were passed over because of my age, no one looked into them. All the Dr.'s kept saying was I was too young, and had not had kids, and they wouldn't touch me! I finally found a specialist willing to check me over, and found out I had crushed ovaries, my tubes were not in the right positions, and had cancer in my ovaries. Needless to say I went for a FULL hysterectomy and have never felt better! I do not feel sick all the time, and can play as much as I want. hehe

I would not recommend anyone do this just for the sake of loosing their time of the month, but it was the best thing I ever did for myself!

There is another alternative the Dr. had told me about before my surgery which is called:

Leuprorelin:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leuprorelin

But I figured it was in my best interest just to have surgery and get it over with. I do not regret my decision in the least!

Actually, I would discourage SP's from using ANY sort of birth contro that might interfere with a woman's natural cycle. A study was done recently (featured in January's issue of Psychology Today) on ovulation and menstruation and it confirmed that when a woman is ovulating she experiences a higher-than-usual libido and a taste for riskier sexual experiences - in other words, she is hornier and more open-minded. In sex work, this sexual energy equals bigger rewards for both the client (better experience & more bang for your buck) and the sp (better orgasms, more $$$). If you take birth control, you diminish these side effects and the study showed that strippers who take birth control make less money then strippers who don't.

To help with the original poster's problem, I think you should just track your menstruation cycle and ovulation period and try to work around it. Work more when you are ovulating, take off the 3 or 4 days when you are menstruating, or give bjs and other services to clients during those days. I don't agree that you should offer discounts as long as you are providing the service that the client wants! Oh...and some men are actually turned on by menstruation so all the better lol.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't mind that "special time" at all. Granted, there are certain things I won't do (specifically daty) but my experience from girls I've been with is that they are especially horny during that time (or is that my imagination?) Again, I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't mind the "mess." Just don't use your good sheets! Alternatively, using the shower works really well.

I've never been with an SP during her time, but as long as she made me aware, I think it would be fine. That way the client can make up their own mind whether or not they want to go ahead. I think most guys would appreciate being told up front.

On my web site, at my Availability Calendar tab, there will be a pic of a fairy dancing in the moonlight if I am that way.

IF I feel like offering "BJ and/or Backside" I will, but I usually just want to pet white fluffy kittens and watch chick flics.

I do however get exceedingly horny the week before. :icon_redface:

One of my all time favorite encounters was non f/s because her friend was visiting, the playing was so much more intense that i actually felt i got way more out of that session than many others it was extremely "personal",so it would not effect me seeing someone as long as i was aware in advance-

thanks for posting the study wrinkledintime

and Peachy - kudos to you for bringing up such a 'taboo' subject...I really liked getting the men's perspective on this, which I found to be, overall, a positive response. Hmm...maybe we can advertise this sort of thing LMAO

As long as the sign is posted at the Ammusement Park that the Ferris wheel is down for maintenance I see no issues. Other options can be great as long as you are told before you get on the ride.

Personally i don't mind being with a women during this time of month. The more comfortable with the mess they are the more fun it is.

Ive had to cancel a couple of appointements when my monthly friend came, but once I did have a gent clue in as to way I was cancelling and he said he didnt care, as long as I was comfortable with it. Meaning still providing fs, just no daty. I didnt bother me, as I am so horny that time of the month! lol But I do know thats not everyone, even most men's cup of tea! I dated someone for years and he would not come near me with a ten foot pole during thoose few days!! So every one is different!

A quote from Mr. Garrison from South Park. "I don't trust nothing that bleeds for 5 days and doesn't die"

Sorry had to say it... but honestly it does not bother me at all. Notice is preferred cause I love DATY and might be a big disappointment if taken from the menu. I always find honesty and being up front is always best.

I just wanted to bump this back to the top because I want to introduce a special this month. What other girls offer a special on their periods. It's a shame to miss out on money because of a natural thing that occurs.

Additional Comments:

I hope I don't give the image that I'm money hungry. It's just that with any other job you do not work 3 weeks out of a month you work all 4 weeks. So why not go ahead with something creative, at the same time being honest with clients. It's a win, win to me. Maybe that's the ceo coming out.

How about a"special" session that just includes a Lingerie show, massage and some kind of mutual pleasure? Really though I think any time spent with you would be"special"

I agree with a lot the guys here when I say as long as your honest about what's available there should be no issue, and like you said it gives you a chance to have fun and be creative. GH26 mentioned that you can always do a lingerie show, massage, or some mutual pleasuring. But also if you like dancing you could always do a bit of strip tease or cabaret type act. If you have access to a pole there is always some pole dancing, lol. And than there is always the more social options too, like dinner and dancing out on the town or something similar. If your both having fun I don't see how anyone could loose in that situation :)

I am an sp who works during her time of the month, why.... because there are MANY men who are not the full service types...HOWEVER WITH THAT BEING SAID....when this occurs_ I dont come out and say, sorry boys I am menstruating in my ads...I simply INDICATE with a special note that there is NO FULL SERVICE available........

Unfortunately, I had a very humiliating and hurtful experience with a man who I presumed took the time to look at my ad I had on the day he contacted me for an appointment......WRONG!!!!!!!!!!! I will also point out that I did not confirm this over the phone ( I should have) would have saved me a lot of grief!!

Unfortunately, I was fully undressed , and had been touched , fondled & kissed by this guest prior to us coming to the realization he was there for much more......My compensation......$20!!!! .........so ladies all this to say, if you do, CONFIRM WITH THEM that you are not providing full service, EVEN if it is stated in your ad, so you don't get effed over like I did!!!!

Just disclosing no FS available would be useful, if the ladies don't feel comfortable giving out details, no problem for me. None of my business.

Sorry to hear about that experience :(

I didn't read back, but why don't you simply make it easy, and offer a non-FS session option all the time? You'd be surprised how many and how often people are not able to commit to FS, yet want to see sps as sps do tend to do more than massage only providers (by massage 'only" I mean the hj finish and often no nudity/touching included).

There is quite a market for the GFE non-FS for those clients who are unable (or unwilling to try FS) yet enjoy many aspects of the GFE and/or sensual massage. If it was always on the menu, then on your 'off' days, all you have to say in your ads and phone calls to set up appts is that you are only offering Non-FS sessions today (and/or however many days).

For myself if I only ever offered one type of service at that service rate, I wouldn't know at least 40% of my repeat clients because they never would have come to see me. Learn to do sensual massage and slow tease/denial/arousal, and you will gain clients for life, believe me.

I would go for it' date=' but make sure that each and every client who books is fully aware that you are not providing regular service. You don't need someone showing up who read your ad from last week.

Contrary to what many seem to think, I believe most men are mature when it comes to menstruation. Most of them are married or divorced, and unless you're gay or living under a rock, you deal with menstruation at some point in your life.

Alternately, consider the sponge![/quote']

I didn't double check if the client knew about the special today and he showed up. So this is the most important piece of information. I felt like an idiot when the client didn't know what I was talking about and a bigger idiot when he wanted and hour. Peachy slaps head. I will have to make sure that I ask every client if they know about my half an hour off limits special and redirect them back to cerb if they don't. I'm pretty lucky that the client was understanding. It seemed like I was more upset than he was over the mix up few, I'm lucky.

I just fixed my website for the half an hour off limits special. So now all I have to do is redirect clients who don't know about my special to my website. Easy as pie.
