Travelling ladies to NB

Fellow NB cerbites - I am looking to understand what makes some of our travelling ladies from out of province not want to return to visit us (or visit as often). These ladies may be independants or again part of an escort business. While I understand that the lack of sufficient business is the more likely cause (in comparison to rude or ignorant patrons), I'd like to understand your thoughts on the why there is less than sufficient business.

 

I have drafted this poll which is anonymous and would look to your participation. Perhaps this could provide a window to help these travelling ladies to be successful and provide us with increased visits.

I would like to hear what the ladies have to say as well. As you say it is probably lack of business but it would be nice to hear from them as well. I would also love to hear from the ladies if there are cities with similar population that have better business, just out of curiousity.

1. Lack of population

2. Of that population, aura of conservatism and close-mindedness

3. The tiny percentage of the rest of the population, lack of men paying for sexual services

4. The result is lack of business, CERB veterans will stick with their regulars.

 

It's an unfortunate combination of lack of spending power, conservatism, and small population.

I agree the centers in New Brunswick are of a smaller population than some of the others and this is part of the problem, numbers.

 

What I try to do to make the most of my visit to Moncton is watch for dates when other providers might be visiting. I got this idea some months ago when I had a trip planned. Angel Star was scheduled to be in town the same three days I was and she kindly changed her dates to be in other parts of NB. In my opinion even the best provider might lack buisness if there are two or three ladies in town at once.

 

Of course here in Halifax there are many provides but most of us are working from our in location with no expenses, so the number of people we see in not a big deal one way or the other.

 

I don't know how some other ladies feel about this plan but it has worked wonders for me and I can now make a trip and be sure it will be one that is successful.

I like the way you think Cathy. It is nice to see this level of respect between us ladies, especially when traveling! I am most often here in Fredericton, and when here I do tend to charge less then as when I am traveling. Only makes sense. I find I will be requested to visit in Moncton, and then I get there and only a couple will end up meeting me. Then I will come home I will have these same people saying " oh I missed you, when will you be back?" The same happens in Saint John. So sometimes I wounder if traveling is the way to go? But of course I will still travel, it keeps things interesting.

So I am very interested in the hearing the outcome of this poll, it will help us to know how we all can make this work for everyone!

I visit NB and the rest of the Maritimes quite frequently. I always check to see who else may be visiting and plan my trips around that. As well as for holidays, school breaks, big events, etc.

 

I know of quite a few ladies who have stopped touring certain cities due to the amount of No Shows and amount of rudeness and lack of respect from clients. The reasons behind it blow my mind - I mean you complain no one visits and when they do you take advantage of the companion and no show or waste her time.

 

Touring costs money, plain and simple. If your not willing to book a companion, why should she be willing to travel to your city.

Sophia the same thing happens all the time, we missed you or this or that reason. When will you be returning? If we take this to heart to much we would be like a circus running back and forth.

 

In my opinion travelling is not the way to go for me, I'd rather stay home, I like my own environment, food and surroundings much better. I visit other places as a thank you to my clients that perhaps would not be able to get to Halifax on any regular basis. It is also my personal opinion as a S P it is my position to visit form time to time and that is the main reason I do it.

 

Its a choice we all make to travel or not so if we do travel lets choose our dates wisly and make the most of each trip.

First off for the two top results to be "cost is too high" and "did not know SP was coming" is frankly pathetic. Simply and completely pathetic. Guys there is no other way to describe those answers. I watch the annonuncements and I don't ever recall a lady giving no notice or even extremely short notice that she would be visiting. The ladies that visit advertise well in advance. Some do make changes to their schedules but those changes are usually well publicized, especially in regards to the well established ladies.

 

Cost is too high? Well you may as well stop logging on to CERB. None of the ladies that tour our area are charging anything but fair rates consistent with ladies from all over Canada. If you think their rates are too high I really don't see what you are doing wasting your time on CERB.

 

The other leading responses were "SP in town for one day" (I have only seen that on a very rare occasion, most are in town for at least 2) and "SP only available on the weekend" (again I've hardly ever seen that)

 

I answered "other" because the main reasons I can't see someone when they are in town is either its too close to another SP's visit who I am seeing (this is sometimes more of a problem then at other times) or I am travelling when they are in town or simply unavailable due to prior commitments.

Ahhhh, well said Scotthecunuck! If we all could be so understanding! You have stated all the same thoughts that I had.

And Cathy, you are so right, we cant run like a circus! For the same reasons as you, I tend to stick to my homebase. I am planning my trip to Ottawa for first time. I have advertised for 3 weeks, so hope not to come up with the same "excuses" as I encounter when traveling within NB.

I mostly agree with everyone here on this one....

I am a touring SP...I do not have a home base as I come from a small town where everyone knows everyone else's business...so I am always on the road.....I often check the other ladies schedules before planning mine, but it really makes no difference for me...IMO the men either want me or someone else...

 

As to why some of the ladies do not come back very often...This could be the result of many things...

No shows particularly can cause some ladies to not want to come back...and do you blame us?

We are running a business here...say you had a product that someone just loves. They flirt with the idea of wanting it and they told you they would buy it at this time and place and you went to all the trouble of travelling with it there only to have this person not be there with your compensation...no call no message....you'd be a little pissed no? And you would probably not want to take the chance of going again! Especially if your product was your livelihood!

 

I also think maybe it is the amount of ladies touring....There are many more then when I first started. IMO ...And with all the "fresh meat" (no offence to anyone) of course things will slow down for us SP's that regularly tour. If I were a hobbyiest I know I would want to test out everyone that is new and recommended LoL

 

I first started touring in August of last year. Moncton was THE best city for me...I couldnt keep up, now it has dwindled down to maybe a full day or two of work...I would like to know why this is as well.

The cost option was part of the poll and although it could have been worded differently like "cost to high for my means" or something to that effect there is no need to belittle or disrespect anyone for answering the poll truthfully.

 

Personally I did not do the poll however the last year or so has not been very kind to me and has resulted in the frequency of my visits with touring ladies to being greatly reduced. So if I were to truthfully answer the poll I guess the "cost to high" would be the box I would have to check off.

 

So in your opinion that makes me "Simply and completely pathetic" and wasting my time on CERB .

 

Well I don't post very often but I do believe that I do contribute some positives to the board and while not as often as I used to or would like to I still cherish the memories of the ladies I have had the pleasure of seeing in the last year .

I stand by my original comments, the cost point in my interpretation refers to what the ladies charge. I think your situation would have been better answered by "other".

Just a comment. As someone who has to drive (one way) from 2 1/2 hours up to 3 1/2-4 hours, I certainly would appreciate a lady who would take the time and expense to travel. And in my opinion if you committed to a time/date with a lady (irrespective of travelling or not travelling) you should live up to the committment. It's all about being a gentleman, and treating the ladies like ladies

How many guys would be the first to chime up if they had an appointment and the lady was a no show

All great comments - many thanks. I could have worded a few questions/statements a little differently (specially the one about the cost - should have said cost too high for my means is more what I meant) but blame it on my being French - lol.

 

Part of my desire to set this poll up is that there are quite a few Cerbites who read what is posted but do not necessarily participate to the forums. I wanted to hear from them to gauge what is driving our visiting SP's away from the province. I have read a number of threads that the number of no shows and the lack of firmed up appointments are the outcome felt by the SP's - however, what is driving these outcomes.

I personally had occasions where I wanted to see an SP but the time frame I logged on CERB and looked at the posting the lady had already come and gone - in some cases - the advertizing is what made 1 less hobbyist to partake and make a more successful visit.

The poll is open for 3 weeks - I would suggest that the results of the poll not be shared until then, however, the clarification on what a particular category might be is open for debate.

Like Roamingguy I have to travel myself half a day to get to the nearest city and a half a day return, and my schedule seldom matches the traveling ladies...

 

My hobbying life is decresing and my budget is shrinking mainly do to increse in my schedule and start-up cost for a new venture :)

Like Loki and Roaminguy I too have to travel (for the most part) in order to see the ladies I wish to meet. If I choose to travel to Halifax it is a 7 hour round trip. Moncton on the other hand is about 4 hours round trip so the choice, geographically speaking, is clear. However my schedule does not allow me to travel as often as (A) I would like or (B) I used to so I am afraid I have not been supporting the ladies of either city very much as of late.

 

As far as the choices in Sams poll go I have no issue with them. Yes the wording could have been a little different but I submit that none of us are perfect and that we all wish we had have said something just a little different at some point in our lives.

 

So thank you Sam for the poll (all options and wording included).

 

To all the ladies who currently visit Moncton thank you. For all of you ladies who are thinking about it in the future please, please give the city a chance.

 

Guys...be respectful and show up when you book your day/time! Remember guys you (we) are not the cableman...the ladies will not wait for you between the hours of 9 - 5!

I also prefer to support the local ladies. So that's my excuse...no offense to the touring SPs they are all very lovely but I have a comfort zone that is met much easier with local ladies.

 

None of the cities in NB are very big. Maybe the type of man the touring ladies are accustomed to are just in short supply.

The debate here in the Maritimes, more particular NB & NS, sometimes can be compared to establishing a CFL football team herer, In particular the size of the potential and proven market and whether or not the market is big enough, passionate enough, able to afford, able to appreciate the CFL football service experience over a sustainable period. There is likely a comparison as to whether or not the hobbyists can "belly up to the bar" and prove that the SP's should be able to count on us here in this region or otherwise prepare to the "use it or lose" as a result.

Personal scheduling conflicts, weather, etc. I checked "other" due to the fact that I have to travel from PEI and many, many things can and do affect my ability to hobby. Some examples are work (schedule), my wifes schedule, weather, the ladies availability on the days I am able to travel just to name a few.

In my case, I have experienced changes in schedule due to weather. Did not happen to me (knock on wood), but if I would be ill with the flu, I would not want to share the germs... How do ladies/hobbyists deal with this particular issue (illness)?
