I had noticed Brook-Lynn's ad some days back and tried to hook up with her. Then I noticed she was around this weekend and PM'd her to set up a date. We agreed on the time and location etc via PM. That all changed recently the stars aligned and we were finally able to meet, let me tell you it was well worth the wait. I recently tried something different. Different in many respects. In conversation with the lovely Brook-Lynn it felt so natural to ask her out for a dinner date. Now a dinner date can take many forms, essentially the idea is you meet up, have a great meal in public and totally enjoy each other's company. However that enjoyment occurs or whatever it involves is up to you and your date.

 

So what was the motivation for this type of outing? Well, I enjoy Brook-Lynn's company and we tend to chat a lot about anything and everything when we're together and like I said, it just felt natural and it felt right and I had to do it. Most importantly, Brook-Lynn was/is ok with this.

 

The evening commences with a confirmation PM on CERB for time and location. We meet up at her location and exchange greetings. Now being me, I have to prey on her weaknesses (at least the one's she's sharing with me, and a few I'm finding out on my own), by spoiling her with a few gifts. Hey if you're going to spend quality time with a quality lady, best to stack the deck in your favor right.

 

So after a warm welcome and some chit chat about what she's wearing (very nicely coordinated by the way and no clash with my threads), and where and what's for dinner off we go to commence the fun. While waiting for our table, we were sitting chatting interestingly enough about people and fashion, while people and fashion watching.

 

I guess I was nervous and it showed. You see, this would be the first time I've initiated this type of off site visit and a huge part of this thrill was essentially trying to look and be normal, but having a dirty little secret those around us didn't know about.

 

I guess the excitement can manifest itself into a bit of nervousness -sorry, I digress. I believe there are different emotions when this public appearance is done before versus after other types of rendezvous and also different in terms of who initiates the meeting.

 

Dinner itself was amazing, tasty, filling, but I talk too much, almost like I type too much :razz: and before we knew it, over two hours had gone by before either one of us looked at a watch. We were so relaxed, captivated with the conversation and surroundings and totally enjoying the time. There were no awkward moments. We portrayed ourselves as colleagues having a meal after a day in the office. No public displays of affection in case we ran into anyone either of us knew outside of this world. And of course to be thorough we had names and a story to explain each other.

I believe we counted no fewer than nine wait staff that served or checked in on us over the course of the evening.

 

We decided to settle up and continue the evening in more private surroundings. Away we go.

 

We rode the elevator up to her suite still limiting the public affection to smiles.
