i meant clients sending their photos without thinking, or just trying another provider that will take them without a photo.

it is fine when it is an established provider. but seeing how many scams etc are going on on ▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼, i am just saying i would be reluctant to provide my pic to just anyone, especially a provider i do not know or have seen many reviews of.

also, the grand majority of providers are not posting their facial pictures, which i understand, so i would not want to do the same.

it all comes down to the fact that most guys here have more to loose, as many are attached or married : and what about us, we do go to university and have other jobs!

You are so correct Dreamgirl, that is why I stated in my thread earlier, it is about the safety of the SP 1st and foremost.

 

Therefore you and other SP's can be very picky, because you have another life outside this community.

 

If a lady has reasons for her way of a screening process..so be it.

I would think one criterion could be the client's cerb name (or name on other escort boards). At least that way, a new SP could get more comfortable by reading the potential clients posts.

 

Yes, I fully agree that client's cerb name is a very good source of information. The lady can read client's past posts but also more importantly, she can PM those ladies who have been seen by that particular client already and get by far more detailed information about the potential client that a picture can ever tell (the picture does not tell about personality, cleanness, respectfulness, possible smell, possible abusiveness, safety, health of client, etc.).

 

It is my view that the lady can choose or reject whoever she wants based on whatever criteria that she sets for herself and so can the client.

This thread seems to relate back to the "What names do you use...." thread. Both discuss topics about keeping anomynous in the hobby and protecting yourself.

 

My photos are out there too. I've been on Facebook, I've designed web pages in my real life, I've been photographed as part of my school newspaper...on and on. Hell, IMO a social security number is capable of a lot more damage than a photo; if you want to be a hobbyist you must accept some level of social risk (relationships, family, friends knowing) and legal risk (in regard to incall bawdy laws in Canada, to the extent they are or are not prosecuted).

 

To me, I'd see it more as a courtesy. If she's put her face out there on the web (let's take Emma Alexander just as an example), and she wants a photo, I'm more inclined to agree, because she's put herself out there in a very public way. I'm less inclined to do so with (as another example) a random SP on CL with no photo or reviews here or the other boards, asking for mine.

Occasionally I have exchanged a few Emails and online chats with an SP before my first visit and in a case such as that where there was a certain rapport built up with the SP and In anticipation of a GFE I might send a Pic first, but as a requirement of a "1st regular" meeting I would pass on the pic and the SP and go to the Next one in line:)

Then I hope you never ask for a pic or download pics from their website or add their website to your favorites cause the same could be said what if you got raided for something, her information got out and her family and friends found out about it. This is an anonymous board who guaranties these ladies that you are not in some sort of trouble with the law and that you are not putting them at risk??? There are over 15000 CERB mebers certainly not everyone is beyond reproche.

 

Do you have any stats to show how dangerous it is and how often indy SPs got raided here in Canada and cops took the pics form their PC and exposed all her clients? This is not Hollywood.

 

What about the risk these ladies are taking by posting albums here on CERB. It is OK for them???? Maybe we should ask mod to remove the album section, what do you think?

I would never ever ever ever even consider asking for a photo. It goes both ways though: I more than likely wouldn't let a client take a photo of me at an appointment either unless it was a long time regular. There's a hobbyist blogger (krooklyn [dot] com) that insists on doing this for his blog. I just don't think I'd be okay with that personally so it works both ways.

 

I respect a client not wanting to send me a picture (and again, I'd NEVER ask for it), I'd hope he respects me not posting full facial pictures. As far as a bust or whatever goes, I posted the pictures on the internet knowing the risks of people saving them, sending them to my family, etc etc etc.

I don't download SP sites or ask for pics on here. And if you are posting pics on here you are doing it by choice. And most pics don't have the face on here. or the face is blotted out.

very true skater....i don't think any of us sp's would get much business if we didn't have our pictures out there.

 

although i never ask for pics i certainly do have my share sent to me....sometimes pictures of the wrong head though...lol

It is interesting to have a poll to see how people think if SP ask for: real first name and last name, photo id, home phone, membership of date-check.com, membership of escort forums, reference from other SP, career, workplace name and address.....ect.

I ask for a lot of information on my reservation form.

 

However, I only REQUIRED a few very important things in terms of personal information: An alias (I need something to call you!), an age RANGE, your sex, what you do for a living (but not where you do it, and you can be vague), a personal email address, a little bit about you, and one of my security checks.

 

If it's too much to give me an alias, age range, what kind of work you do, an email address...well then I'm not the provider for you I guess.

My head and shoulders shot is available on the web. Anyone who wants to can right-click to download it and do whatever they want with it. Same with every other photo on the web pretty much. (there's no ID info about me in the embedded IPTC file, BTW)

 

Just because an SP has a photo of me that was sent from a throw-away e-mail account with a blank subject line and only the photo as an attachment doesn't mean much. Certainly nothing to LE if there's no context. Of course, I could send any photo I want. B&S doesn't have to be limited to a-hole SPs, it can be a-hole clients as well, so I'm not sure what good a photo via e-mail really does an SP in any event.

I had an interesting request from a well-reviewed SP earlier this week ... as a condition for making an appointment, she wanted a photo of me. I had, in my initial inquiry, given her information on my height, weight, etc. (I'm nothing out of the ordinary, dimension wise (smile)).

 

I was surprised when she wrote back, very politely, saying that she needed a photo of me before she would place an appointment. I mentioned this on PistolPete's "rant" message string, but i thought it worthy of its own topic.

 

First, I want to make it VERY CLEAR that I respect the SP's right to make any condition whatsoever on an appointment, and that includes a photo. However, I would think this would be a non-starter for most guys, and it definitely is a non-starter for me.

 

Any thoughts on this from clients or SPs?

In an industry such as this, where DISCRETION is of the utmost importance, I'm baffled by this request?

 

First, If safety is the concern, why would a pic help? A crazy man's not goning to care if he sends you a fake pic.. by the time you know its a fake he has the address/info.(ie: crazy guys will not be weeded out)

 

If personal hygiene is your concern, a well placed " Let's take a shower" or "would you like to freshen up" will usually suffice.

 

So to sum it up.. I'd say its not about either of those factors.

 

This industry is well suited for women with depth of character and a love of men (of all shapes, sizes and ethnicity's) vanity and a "high opinion" of one-self will do you absolutely no good in the long run.

 

I understand it is the personal choice of each sp, but in the end alienating half of your client base is just, bad business 101.

(p.s. Most of my BEST sessions tend to begin, with the most timid and shy emails I receive..lol.. It's an intimadating thing, (contacting an escort) So I would say she's missing out on some great clients.. who DEPEND on DISCRETION)

When I first started this thread last fall (it keeps popping up) my thoughts were exactly as pointed out by Kimberly Shea, but at the same time, I respect the right of any SP to place any condition she feels as necessary on an appointment. It may not be, IMHO, the best business decision, and she may be missing out on some really good clients (like me - hahaha), but if that's what it takes to make her feel comfortable, that's her choice and I respect that. Different ladies are going to have very different sensitivities on this matter. I see SPs that are definitely successful asking for full name information as well ... something else that I would never be comfortable with.

 

I would never want a SP to be anything other than completely comfortable with me as its going to take away from our time together. On the few occasions where I have contacted an independent SP, or any agency for the first time, I go out of my way to tell them a bit about myself including a physical description and my background, as well as mentioning my cerb name. That usually seems to evoke a positive response and hopefully is the start of a process to develop a sense of trust.

 

So whatever conditions they wany want to impose in that regard, subject to my right to politely decline of course, is fine with me.

I prefer not to see a photo before a client comes to see me. A photo doesn't usually show the twinkle in his eye, the softness of his voice or his character; the things that can turn you on even if he's missing a leg! One of the things I have so appreciated about this business is that now I no longer look for a man who has a specific physical attribute. The most exciting sex has come with men who are sly and quiet, surprise you with the best kisses (I love the kissing lol...) knowing where your g spot is and taking the time to find it, over and over... Sometimes it's the hunky ones who are the worst lovers. They don't always make an effort; they've never had to. There's a song by Millie Jackson from the 1970's called Ugly Men. She says, ladies if you want to have a good time, get youself an ugly man. He hasn't had it in a long time and he don't know when he gonna get it again! lol...

The physical part of this business is what we focus on .. but the real person is hidden... and finding that is when the real good sex begins....

As minor as sending a pic to an Sp can seem to be, it can have a very negative impact. If you send a real pic of yourself from your E-mail address to the potential Sp you are going to see, and a LE sting takes place, or a unfortunate incident happens to the SP(just an example, no insult or hurt intended) you will be investigated, and easily tracked down through e-mail communication or ip address locations especially with everyone being a member of the numerous online friend networking websites and so on. Personally, I have no problem sending my SP my pic, but in the back of my mind I always think of the "What If". This may make no sense to some, and unfair to the SP's that freely show their pics, but many of the hobbiests have a lot to lose personally if they are "exposed" I know many won't agree, but it's just my thoughts.
