Is it wrong to ask a SP for verification?

Sorry to say, anybody who share their vital IDs like DL or Passport are absolute nuts. Be it a client or a provider. Who would risk their identity and sensitive information for the sake of this hobby? It's okay to send a deposit but DL? Cmon!

NB: There might be CEOs who give away IDs to providers here. As we have witnessed recently (on concerts), CEOs are not as smart as we think anyway right? 😀

Counter point. I hand my ID to people all the time. Some ask for it when you pay by CC. Some ask at the liquor store or a bar. Car dealers take it and photocopy it. Tattoo shops make a copy. I've sent pictures of my ID via email (which is not secure). I've uploaded photos of my ID online for various reasons.

Hell people lose their IDs all the time and they don't panic. They just go buy a new one and don't care what happened to the old one.

So ultimately what is a provider really going to do with your ID? Don't send it to some random provider on LL you don't know but if you've done your research on a specific provider and they are reputable like several in this thread (Ms Manda, Pamela Luscious, etc.) you really think they are going to try and ruin your life over $500 just for fun? No. Because it looks bad on them too and how they conduct business and it will impact them. They will only use it if they have to in situations such as assault.

Of course we do, hotels, liquor stores etc. where it's legal and mandatory, and most importantly a valid business entity where you have to show your ID to get the service. What we are doing here (paying money for sex) is completely illegal how much ever you butter it up. I am questioning the logic to give away your most important personal information for an illegal purpose and risk your life.

I am not doubting the reputed providers here, whether they will misuse it or not. But what if their phone gets hacked, or somebody steals all these information from them and blackmail you. Or what if cops are involved and they see your ID in there. No man, I would rather move on and choose a provider who won't ask for ID. As simple as that.

There's nothing to stop someone at those establishments from stealing you ID info and using it for something. It’s also not like it’s your SIN. It’s an ID. Also maybe one of the providers can chime in here but do you keep IDs forever or do you delete them after the date or after a certain amount of time? I would hope you delete them but of course I don’t know.

Y’all worried about handing over ID, meanwhile you expose your whole life, real name, location, and family, on social media every single day. Make it make sense 😂😂

Hack our phones? Then what? A thousand burner numbers with random IDs. It’s literally no different than the old yellow/white pages phone book that is public. 😂

And let’s be clear, what’s actually illegal here? Buying, not selling. That law exists to protect providers, minors, and to fight trafficking. Two consenting adults aren’t at risk. Nobody’s getting dragged to court for paying a consenting legal provider. Facts.

Absolutely, they can misuse it, lose it. But it's the Risk Vs Reward. The risk is too high for the reward when it comes to share your ID for this purpose. Its not like SIN but it's critical data. I hope you know how identify theft works.

Absolutely! I will and always go for a provider who doesn't ask for an ID. I guess 90-95% of the providers here don't ask for an ID.

I don't expose anything in social media. Not even my full name, let alone pictures. There might be people doing it. I am careful that way.

What to with the hacked data? Are we really talking about the value of 'information' in this age. Each ID will be worth hundreds or thousands of dollars if it falls to the hands of right (or wrong) people.

Could you clarify who a legal provider is? Are you a registered business?

You should be more worried about your wife going through your phone and having to sleep on the couch for a week than worry about us screening tbh. Be scared of your own wife, not us.

We can be scared of you if we don't have a wife or girlfriend right?

Google it free.

Selling sex is legal in Canada. It’s the purchasing that’s criminalized under PCEPA. If you’re unsure, here’s the government’s own wording. you can read it yourself:

No one’s driver’s license is worth thousands 😂 If it is, y’all better start keeping it in a safe. And if you ever take it out to drive, make sure it’s in a metal wallet with a padlock and a ball & chain hooked to it!!

A driver’s license on its own is not enough to commit fraud. To open a bank account or access financial services in Canada, you need a SIN, a signature, and often additional verification. A license by itself is practically useless without that supporting information. On top of that, most people already have safeguards in place through Equifax or TransUnion, which notify you immediately if your ID has been compromised or used improperly. So no, providing ID for screening doesn’t magically put you at financial risk. It’s simply a basic layer of accountability that separates serious, respectful clients from those who want to avoid responsibility

I've been following this thread from the beginning and for me it always comes back to the same thing - I have a choice. No one is making me meet with a provider who requires ID, a deposit or both. But what really irks me is the 'issue' of providers having control and hobbyists not being able to do anything about it. That doesn't seem to sit very well with some folks. It is being dressed up as some half-baked policy discussion when really it's about power. I also think language matters...'hobbyists'. For me, this is fun, exciting, a bit of sexual therapy, sometimes it's emotional therapy or some mix of all of the above. For many if not most providers, it is their livelihood. It is a profession and a business. This industry was here long before us and will be long after we're gone. I am just grateful for the many lovely human beings I get to spend time with. The way I choose to go about my 'hobby' is to manage my risks through research. I also realize I don't get to make the rules. If I don't like it, well, that's my problem.
