Wow a bucket list!

 

I have had very few things that I really wanted to do before I die. I am more of a "one day at a time" kind of guy so I wait to see what comes my way.

 

There are a few things that I dreamed of doing someday.

First the things I already crossed off my bucket list.

 

Skydiving

Seeing the Grand Canyon

Visiting Mount Rushmore.

Visiting Yellowstone National Park and Old Faithful.

Driving the Pacific Coast Highway.

Visiting an old western ghost town.

Taking a year off to ride a motorcycle around North America. (All these things were done in the same year on the same ride!)

 

Things I still dream of doing.

Ride my motorcycle around Autralia and New Zealand.

Visit the Egyptian Pyramids.

Visit Greece and sail around the Greek Islands.

Visit Machu Picchu

Maybe even bungee jumping!

As a teen I read about the alleged death of a beggar which lead Attar of Nishapur take up the mantles of sufism. The, potentially fictional, account had a marked effect on my view of living and death.

I am also one who lives day to day, enjoying and coping with what comes my way, but there is a couple of things I would like to accomplish before my time comes

1:change the laws concerning animals, so that they are no longer considered

property or possesions but living beings with rights

2:toughen the laws concerning animal abuse

3:kick the asses of those who think it's alright to abuse animals,give them a dose of their own medicine,and get away with it!!!

4: find a human I can trust,that isn't judgemental,mean or selfish!

Well back in my younger days, I saw Europe...was posted to West Germany with the Canadian Forces. And I've been to the United States, no desire. So travelling isn't on my bucket list

I did want to take para training when with the Forces,but because of timing, it never happened. So I might try parachuting, not take it up as a full fledged hobby (unless hooked) but take the training to do a jump on my own

More in line with my real hobby, fishing. I want to take a week (or two) and go either to Georgian Bay, St. Lawrence River (1000 Islands) or Ottawa River and go after and catch a 50 inch or longer, muskie...those bodies of water hold trophy muskie

And still on fishing related bucket list. Hit Lake Simcoe in the fall, and go after trophy smallmouth bass...Lake Simcoe noted for being a trophy smallmouth fishery.

A final fishing bucket list...going to the west coast, after salmon and halibut

Now away from the fishing bucket list, one other thing I'd like to experience, at least once, a menage a trois...and hopefully this will cease to be a fantasy and come to reality this summer

Get a motorbike and license *(Taking course this summer)

Get published (Working on that now)

Write a book (Have two on the go)

Learn to play the violin *(Shopping for one now)

Travel to other countries (All inclusive week somewhere warm, this year!)

 

That's on for this year...

I don't normally wait long to get things done.

 

Next year, I want to take my bike and go west to the Rockies, up to the Yukon and back down through Northwest Territories.

 

Sure skydiving and all that is on my list, but that's not really something that I'm setting my own time and money aside for... If the opportunity arises then yeah for sure, but it's not something high up my "to-do" list. I also think it's funny that everyone has goals with kids on it... Dance somewhere at someone's wedding. My bucketlist includes a huge DO NOT GET PREGNANT invisible goal. Hahaha! (That'll get WAY easier to maintain when I get my tubes tied, FINALLY, this year)

I'd like to go on a meditation retreat, play in the Stratford Shakespeare festival, juggle fire, and learn to play the accordion.

 

Ideally, when I am very old, I will have a pet donkey and a prosperous vegetable garden.

 

I hope to one day re-master the cartwheel. (I had it when I was very young. Then I lost it.)

 

I would be very interested in learning/practising parkour one day.

My list left to accomplish is pretty short actually.

 

Surf in Hawaii!!!! Surprisingly with everywhere I have surfed in the world, Hawaii has managed to elude me...must get it done!

 

Travel in to space. The stars fascinate me and now that the technology is there for pretty much anyone to travel off this planet, it's one thing I must do before I die.

 

Oh, and Hayden Panettiere...might as well wish for the stars!!!! Not going to happen, but here's to wishful thinking!!! :D

Taking 3 months off, my walking shoes and back pack to Italy and visiting as many vineyards as possible...

Not just the huge commercial ones located in some of the most popular regions but the small local ones too.

I would love to stay with welcoming families and experience their home cooked meals...

 

My plan is to start north and make my way down to Palermo, Sicily where there's a lot to do and see.

Maybe I'll be lucky enough to meet one or two nice Italian studs along the way
