The progression of service

Recommended Posts

I posted about this last year, as Claraydeb (for which the password's been lost and the site's password retrieval system isn't working, hence the new account.)

In 2012, after about 10 years away from hobbying, I was stunned and delighted to find kissing/lfk/dfk to be on many menus.

A few months ago I was flabbergasted to be with a provider who let me CIM.

I always thought there were certain limits that would never be broken, CIM certainly being one of them. Certainly a provider would NEVER do that. Now several do.

Now I'm thinking again, and wondering what will change next.

There's really only one limit these days - using a condom for vaginal sex.

That will NEVER change. Right?

And yet...

I think it will, one day. I think one day they will invent a spermicidal cream that's 99.9% effective at blocking babies and STD's. And when that happens, we'll see providers offer sex without a condom.

I don't really know what will happen of course. I've just seen things that were unheard of and non-negotiable, become part of today's experience.

May not be a popular post this one but I personally think it may have been taken a bit too far. I mean services are fine if the lady enjoys offering them rather than she has to because otherwise she won't make money and as well her safety (and the hobbyist's safety) is not put in jeopardy within a reasonable tolerance level and I beleived that though kissing/daty falls in that category (though some may disagree) but not sure about CIM or greek. And though kissing and hugging will not most likely have any long term adverse psychological affects on a provider but I am not sure about the other two unless they enjoy offering it which would be fine then. My opinion anyways.

As for your question it may go either way. It is possible that it may become even more liberalized some years from now as they find cures for more STDs (like 10-15 years ago it was the fear of aids now they can treat it quite successfully) OR we may decriminatize prostitution and adopt a system like New Zealand which many aspects of that is absolutely great but anything bare even the relatively safe Daty is prohibited by law and providers even if they enjoy it they cannot offer it by law. Which btw, though I find the model as a whole attractive but not that particular aspect of it. Services are up to provider to decide (based on her likes and dislikes and the YMMV factor) and should not be legislated. Government has no business in nation's bedrooms!!. My view anyways.

It's possible. Perhaps new methods of preventing the transmission of STIs will become available, and condoms will become obsolete.

Of course, things could go the other way, too. Gonorrhea will probably become incurable in the not-too-distant future unless we come up with some new antibiotics. And if that happens, things that are currently considered acceptably low-risk by many may go off the menu entirely.

One would like to believe that bbfs is not on anyone's menu, but the fact is that it is. And how can one not make the obvious link between what used to be unavailable 10 years ago to the point of laugh in face if requested, is now so 'common'.

And all that in spite of the fact that testing is easier, and information is really easier considering majority of advertising is done on the internet, so is the information about stds

and yet they still do it.

But what we also see from one decade to the next are a lot of foreign workers in the system, bringing their 'style' so to speak. and their style is based on a different level of acceptability. Then new but local sps get into the biz, they read ads to see what to do or not do, and they see all that stuff on the table and assume that is what they have to do. Which is fine because they also have no idea where to find std risk charts like this one either.

Greek and duos and dato also never used to be even considered appealing, let alone offered, and yet there they are :) No matter what the sp provides, there is always someone going to ask for somethng she doesn't. And those influence what ends up on the menu down the road I think.

I am all for decrim and regulation because believe me there is NO way Occupational health and safety commissions are going to allow bbbjs with or without CIM.

Imagine the gov't prohibiting bbbjs and DATY and labelling it an "Occupational Hazard"? Oh, the horror! IMO, I don't see a Conservative gov't wanting to get into the sex lives of Canadians let alone sex workers and their customers in the future so it is up to us as a whole to be responsible and be proactive about staying safe.

However, it is very scary that there are some STDS like gonnorrhea will become resistant to antibiotics and really can't forsee society in general 'barebacking' it like they did back in the day in this business. Society has made too many strides in being effective about using protection whether it's through social media, charities, organizations about safe sex and all the dangers that come along with it.

Can we really change the minds of those who grew up being told to use condoms and all the STDs out there these days? I don't know but in some ways that's like trying to turn a Republican into a Democrat!

I am so not a fan of spermicide. It is a strong irritant and can cause bacterial vaginosis as well as small cuts in vaginal lining leading to an increase in STI transmission.

So the idea of a some sort of gel killing bacteria, viruses and sperm without harming our body cells (male and female) or vaginal flora seems like total Sci Fi to me.

There was a spray on condom that was in the works though it was made of latex and had the same issues some men complain of when it comes to latex as well as challenges because of the way it was applied.

The hilarity and the Sci Fi ness of using that during a session is not loss on me.

Wasn't there a joke in a movie where they had these full body condoms that prevented them from touching each other at all? Some Woody Allen thing or something? Or was it SpaceBalls?

Maybe this would be a good one for the rubber fetish people...quick way to make your own latex catsuit!

If I had $100.00 for every man who has attempted to get me to accept inaccurate information about the real incidence of STIs and why the risks to my health and well-being are miniscule, I could probably retire happily even in Vancouver's real estate market.

In general, most men know almost nothing about STIs and most have never been tested for any of them. While they have usually understood the message about using condoms for vaginal and anal sex in order to avoid HIV/AIDS, they believe that other STIs are easily treated with a course of antibiotics, which is not true. They frequently believe that if someone is free of symptoms, they're free of infection, which is also false.

The changes in services don't start with paid companions. We see it in the late spring/early summer every year when the market is inundated with highly inexperienced women, whether tourists from other countries who are actually working for the summer, or whether they're university students who decide to try the sex trade as a way to make money over the summer. The tourists rarely speak English very well, if at all, but are managed by others here who undercut prices and offer services that are usually not available from women who charge higher fees.

New companions always attract a lot of attention. The students who speak English are deluged with requests from men who are on the look-out for new ladies. They receive enormous pressure to charge as little as possible and also to provide services that more experienced ladies refuse to offer. The new ladies that refuse to do certain things, such as bareback BJs, will still do well for the first month or so, but once they stop being so new, they will also get fewer requests overall.

Supposedly "helpful" prospective clients, pretending to be good guys who only want what's in the ladies' best interests, prey on these women, offering them advice while recommending that they do not make contact with established companions who might give them some support or insights. These fellows claim to know the escort scene very well--some will say they've owned or operated escort agencies in the past or have friends who have worked in the sex trade locally for years. They describe the industry as so cut-throat that women can't trust each other because we're destructively competitive, steal clients and deliberately give newbies dangerous advice so that we can get or keep the best clients for ourselves. Of course, along with all of this brain-washing is the advice that the new companion need only lower her rates and/or offer uncovered services to earn a living.

Unfortunately, most new companions are unaware of the kinds of things they should know and where to get the most reliable advice and support when they're just starting out.

Many of us believe that the fake concerned clients are not just focused on new companions but are trying to influence the market across the board in the hope that everyone will be forced to reduce their rates and increase the range of options available in order to stay in business.

It's a nasty situation.

However, there are things that men can do to improve things for everyone. I suggest that men who read this board should always encourage other men only to engage in safe contact for everything. If the men here were to talk about these matters often, at length and loudly with other men and in the posts they make on other boards, they would be doing a great deal for everyone's health and well-being. Challenge the men who insist on bareback contact. Educate them about the risks and why they shouldn't take chances for themselves or advise anyone else to do so. Encourage other men to use condoms every time they masturbate and to discover for themselves how to make using them pleasurable, whether from adding a bit of lube inside the condom or going to a high-end sex toy shop to learn about other ways to increase sensitivity while wearing a condom. It is possible!
