I've notice a lot of ladies making comments on cancellation. Which I don't blame them, but does this sort of think happen frequently cause I'm getting the impression it does? Not try to be rude or disrespectful but I do not understand how people can cancel, beside some obvious reason like being sick or emergency. Maybe it just me but if I would have to cancel I would feel horrible especially since I picked the date and time. Do people have the curtesy to call or just don't show?

Maybe I'm naive, or just the way I grew up if I made an appointment in anything or even in working I never cancel unless I'm sick or emergency and even if I'm sick I usually call right away to give ample time to be replaced.

 

So what a valid excuse to cancel and how much time before hand. Ladies would you even see that client in the future?

I also get the feeling this happens more frequently than it should.

 

I always like to book appointments a few days in advance and on the few occasions were I had to cancel there was ample notice. Most of the time, I have just been able to reschedule. I think this is fair business and acceptable.

 

On my part, if I had to cancel on short notice, same day for instance, I would definitely pay for the inconvenience I had caused.

Things can happen to all of us..., unexpected... my take is, i understand but the problem is when u become a repeat canceller.. STRIKE 1, STRIKE 2 AND YOU ARE OUT....

It has not been the case to have to do that yet, specially with CERB gentlemen.... And i know with the gentlemen that i already know that if they cancel is because something has come out and i would never black list them or apply the 1, 2, 3 out rule...or even think about penaklzing them.... What if is me the one that has to cancel next time...

Cancelled once, postponed once.

 

Cancelled - Woke up to a massive headache, cough and cold. Thought my germs should stay with me instead of being passed along.

 

Postponed - Did so a day prior to the appointment. Bank noticed suspicious activity on my account. Locked everything. Turns out someone was running some sort of scam with the debit cards including my own. Couldn't withdraw cash that day, so postponed as soon as I heard about it. In the end, bank fixed it rather quickly, but I didn't want to postpone in the last minute if things took longer than normal.

 

So one sick reason, and one bank scam related reason.

This type of stuff happens very often, in both directions, potential new clients who only book through texting do not show up, people who are just looking to fuck around and get a 'laugh', I believe this happens more so on the female provider end than on the male provider side as I have only heard about it once but providers fake booking with competition so they are able to get clients easier.

 

You also have girls who know that this type of stuff goes on and double book in hopes that they can ensure business between desired times, potentially blow through two thirty minute times by keeping one around waiting and just outright not responding as there is also unfortunately sometimes substance abuse involved with some of the lower class providers.

 

Cancellations are unfortunately a reality of the business and it is not always scumbags or losers who are responsible, but nice guys and ladies who get cold feet and don't show up, people book for early appointments and sleep through their alarms, etc. Knowing this, I tried to make it a prerequisite that we go out for coffee/tea/lunch that I covered as part of the process as I figured I needed to eat and would soend the money anyways but also to put people at ease. I know a fair deal of the girls on here have a screening process as well that usually involves something similar.

It happens even I got emergency and need to cancel the meeting. But it feels horrible when you have made efforts to have some pleasure

I think there are 2 different things here. The first being a cancellation, something done ahead of the appointment time due to an unforeseen change in circumstances.

 

I will always re-book someone who has had to cancel and I have been given a days notice.

Now the second thing is a No Show. I have zero tolerance for those people who can't even take 90 seconds to send a quick text or email that they won't be able to make it and simply don't show up.

 

In that case I ask for a deposit if they try to re-schedule.

 

As a provider my time is valuable and I can give the spot to someone who will show up.

 

So from my point of view cancellations happen, even from a providers side.

But the No Shows is what I have very little tolerance for.

It shows a complete lack of respect for the provider and his/her time they have set aside to see you.

No shows are indeed a problem in this industry, but that too goes both ways, although probably more client no shows than provider no shows. When a client no shows he can end up on a black list (I think mostly for repeat offenders) or a deposit becomes required if he attempts to re-book with the same provider that he stood up.

 

When a provider no shows (does not show up for an outcall or does not call to provide incall location) there is not much that can be done other than to not choose that provider again. I have experienced about 3-4 provider no shows with no cancellation and no explanation as to why there was no communication. It certainly can be frustrating in both directions.

I am not going to expand on the whole subject about cancellations, 24 hours notice or more/less, no shows, cancellation fees, deposits, etc. but I will answer your question with one of the posts I made in the "highlights of the day" thread

2 weeks ago:

 

I can't remember the last time this happened BUT I am excited to say I didn't receive any cancellations this week, that's right, not one lol so I am a happy camper! A nice way to start my weekend with a big smile :)

 

I broke a record and had two weeks, back to back, with no cancellations...

I only accept 3-4 appointments a week so when one or two (or more) are being cancelled, well let's just say it doesn't turn out to be an inspiring week.

 

On the other hand, I've had to cancel/postpone on some of my gentlemen on occasion but I always did find a way to make it up to them in spades, which can't be said when the opposite happens.

I don't mind a cancelation, someone calling to say they cannot make it after all. I use a booking process that eliminates a lot of the time wasting by the pranksters calling. At the same time I do not double book, if someone calls after the first appt is made I simply let the 2nd one know my next ETA, and he can book that time knowing that i may be available plus or minus 15 minutes from my estimate. I say I might be available earlier simply because the first caller may cancel or may not show up, making it possible for the 2nd to come earlier than expected.

 

 

No shows are so common that even repeat clients do it, make appts that they do not show up for or call to cancel. No idea why they have the time to make the call and appt, but can't seem to call to cancel or say they can't make it for whatever reason.

 

I would say that out of every 10 appointments made, at least 3 or 4 of them will simply not show up. And I don't mean a vague reference to calling when or if in the area, or saying at 2pm they want to come by at 5pm, then failing to call to confirm. I mean the ones who call from less than a half hour away, set a specific time within then, and fail to show up, and/or the ones who call for the address and fail to show up within the 5 minutes it should take them to get from where they are to my front door.

 

At that point, that kind of caller becomes a safety issue, getting the address but not showing up.

I just had a no-show/no-call on Monday night.

 

I probably get at least one or two a week.

 

Seriously guys unless you are seriously incapacitated there's no excuse that you can't at least notify the lady. Do people have no spine or respect anymore?

I find cancellations happen more often in pre-booking ahead of time as it happened to me twice yesterday. I understand things come up but it can be very frustrating as most of my appts are booked within the same day or even in the same hour and the appt goes ahead as planned. It is very rare that I get a no show.

 

While both guys did give enough cancellation time and I appreciate it, one asked to see me earlier and when I texted back immediately, I didn't get a response at all. I found this kind of rude. I was just left hanging.

 

I'm not a fan of pre-booking days in advance unless they are with regulars. Same day notice for appts are better for me as I can accommodate within my scheduled hours listed here.

When i book an appointment it is for that day an time no prebooking and i show up for that appointment and i only book on a certain day and time an that girl knows when i am going to call her always get that day and time works out perfect everytime...:D

To me it is unacceptable to not at least give a call to say you cannot make it and it better be a good reason. as i said before i never make and then confirm and app. unless i am sure i will be able to make it short of something extreme happening. if i need to see if someone is available i email well in advance and see but if they are available but do not book until i know for sure i will make it. and if i cannot i always tell the lady at least a few days in adv. so they have time to rebook or at least they know for sure why i could not make an app.

Something else to consider, a local escort given twenty four hours cancellation notice is one thing (although to me I would handle the same way) she likely has other clients she can see to make up for your cancellation. A touring lady on the other hand, cancelling twenty four hours, well she is still likely out the cost of plane tickets, hotel etc and it is probably harder to make up the lost encounter.

For me, a cancellation, whether a local lady or touring lady I would treat the same, I would re-imburse them in full the lost donation. If just a postponement, well I would see them for an encounter shortly thereafter, and I would show my appreciation in a tangible way (increase the length of our encounter, bigger than usual tip etc)

I can't understand the no call/no show. It just shows an utter lack of respect for another person's time! I have only ever cancelled once and I felt horrible doing it, but sometimes shit happens and if you show some respect you'll usually get some in return. In my case I cancelled a morning appt the night before because my SO was sick and I knew she wouldn't be working the next day so I wouldn't be able to leave for no reason. The lady was very understanding and we ended up rescheduling for later that week.

To sum up, sometimes shit happens and as long as you go about things the right way and don't make a habit of it, cancellations should be forgivable.

If there isn't a really valid reason, it is shameful. I don't care if it is an SP, a doctor, a dentist, or a reservation at a restaurant. that time is being held for you! Again, I believe some compensation is in order. One thought Ive had is if you make a date say 3 days in advance, then get a cold, stomach virus etc the day of, is that a valid reason? I would think SP's expect you to be clean, healthy and not bring a bunch of germs with you! What do you people think? Also, can I ask, is it usually newbies? I remember my first time and was as nervous as my high school prom! Lol. Maybe some newbies get attacks of nerves?

When I book a date with a lady, unless I have a very good reason or an unavoidable circumstance, I will never cancel. Also, I have too much respect for the ladies and their time that a no-show or no-call for cancelling an appointment will be unthinkable for me.

 

That said, I have had a postponement (by the SP), a last-minute cancellation by a MA, and a cancellation by myself with a SP.

 

The first case involed a visiting and very popular SP who asked for 1/2 hr delay before I left my house. When I got to her hotel, she texted me she would be 1/2 hr late. It was obvious when I saw her that she had squeezed another client in before my appointment since she looked tired and the session was uninspiring.

 

The last-minute cancellation by the MA was while I was waiting for instruction to her incall place and I was already near her area. She gave a reason which was beyond her control. I gave her the benefits of doubt and saw her on another day and had a great time.

 

The cancellation with the SP was because I fell sick and had a cough which I would not want to pass on to her or to anyone. I emailed her a day or two before to cancel my appointment and offer to compensate her for the full amount. She graciously declined my offer and... I have been seeing her regularly since not only becaues of her kind gesture but also she is a wonderful and beautiful lady.

Yikes!! I'm not sure what I would do for a no show, I would definitely be worried if I gave the information/location of my in call if they had said they were already there. I don't give that info very fast though. Fortunately, that has never happened and I hope it never does.

 

As far as cancellations, that is rare, and I completely understand it if it is for good reason. The times it has happened, I completely understood and held no hard feelings, they are regular gentlemen I see so I knew all would be well in the end!! And it has been!! They have also been extremely understanding for me as well when I have had to cancel, again, with good reason, but I think some sort of rapport has to be established before cancellations can be seen in this way.

 

 

If it was a first time meet, I would probably see it a bit different, unless they ended up re-booking at a later time. I think I saw earlier in a post about the 1x, 2x you're out rule. I agree with that one for sure!!

To answer the OP's question of what is a valid excuse for cancelling an appointment, I would say as long as you give sufficient notice(48-72 hours) then it shouldn't matter what the reason is as long as you notify the SP well in advance. Do this occasionally though and you'll be correctly labelled a timewaster.

 

Same day notice should be compensated for but that's up to the SP or hobbyist to "offer". Sometimes re-booking within a reasonable time would be adequate or paying for the inconvenience if you can't re-book. If the SP is the offender, maybe an offer of extra time or whatever. That should be left up to the offending party though, don't you think? Good luck suggesting the SP give you an additional 30 minutes for the inconvenience on your next booking.

 

FWIW, I have experienced more cases of SP's postponing or cancelling on me last minute than the other way. All of them were touring ladies which begs the question, why touring ladies? Are they double booking or scheduling too close together?

 

This could be partly my fault since after booking the appointment I usually wait for the day of the appointment to reconnect. Although the apt has been booked, maybe they have forgotten about it? Most recently, I booked and received confirmation 5 days out and when I texted a few hours before the meeting I was treated like I was a new booking. When I re-texted our conversation from 5 days earlier I was asked if I could make it 45 minutes later than my booked time. I accepted as I felt that I did book the appointment but I couldn't help feel like I was taking a number.

However, I would never ask for any form of compensation in these cases as it's something that must be offered, not requested.

 

My point finally, is that you can't request compensation. All you can do is decide whether you want to see this person in the future. If you want to be considerate and offer something, all the better. It means your thoughtful and increases the chance of a future meeting.

 

I'm not suggesting that these issues aren't costly and a pain in the butt and they deserve to be discussed so people think twice before cancelling.

I rarely have them! In the last four months, I might have encountered one or two episode. The reason is simply that I follow a certain way of booking and would never put myself at the client's mercy.

 

I accept bookings through emails and text messages. In both situation, I would give the client certain timelines to reconfirm their bookings within the 24 hrs prior to the session. I would also ask for a final confirmation on the day of the session and would select a specif time! Those who are serious would show their due diligence and time wasters reveal themselves quickly!

 

Last, you don't want to get in my black book as a client or even a potential client! Once in that book, you are not out of it unless the books is destroyed! And this would happen only after my retirement!

A good idea about the final confirmation. Me, as a client, I usually contact the lady I am scheduled to see three weeks, then two weeks and week of the encounter, and sometimes day before the encounter too, giving the lady my semi semi semi final confirmation, semi semi final confirmation, semi final confirmation and final confirmation. I sometimes worry I over email the lady I'm going to see LOL

And for me, normally (due to family circumstances I've been on hiatus since Dec :-( ) have one encounter a month...a once a month escape with a lady and myself. Confirming the encounter prior to the date seems little enough to do, and common courtesy, for the wonderful escape provided by the ladies

I didn't realize cancelation was as much as some of you ladies describe. It must be frustrating some times. I understand things happen in life we cannot control but seem like cancelation is still fairly common. I guess for those who prebook in advance must find it difficult and now I know why some ask for deposit.

 

As for no show no call there not much excuse I can think of that merits that, especially in this day and age where everyone has a sell phone it's not hard.

 

Thanks for all the info a real eye opener.

If I may, I vow never to be one of those no show no call and I hope other will to.
