what is the difference between being a senior member and long time member??

Recommended Posts

I am a bit confused on the term long time member and senior member.

I would think that senior member means that you have been on cerb

for a while, have more posts, and more rep points;but that is not the case

I have seen a few members that have recently join and do not have a lot of rep points and posts.

so someone please explain what the two term mean

thanks

xo

I think......: (don't quote me tho!)

General member is less then 100 posts

Long term member is more then 100 posts, but less then 500

Elite member is 500 posts or more

Senior? They get a discount at the FB Club? Don't know - who is a senior member?

I'm not 100% positive either, but I believe you are correct on the "general" and "Elite" levels. I thought that "senior" was in between the 2 (100-499 posts) but I could be wrong or perhaps has changed.

I also assumed that "long time member" referred to a time frame, not a post count. (I am both Elite and long time at the same time.) I don't believe rep points play into this, but that is only my guess.

1000+ Posts gets you Elite with a crown. (Can't wait to be crowned ;) )

oh now I am still confused..

I looked on someone else's profile page and hers said 100+ post then it said senior member.

I am not sure what it goes on because I have more than 100 post

and my profile page says long time member???

so still wondering what makes you a senior member

this person I am looking at has been on cerb for less than a year?

this person is older than me but defiantly not a senior..lol

not a big deal

Additional Comments:

I have more than a 100 post and a general member....

This is something I have bee curious about for a while.

If I were to take a guess I would think that it has to do with a combination of things:

  • Time with Cerb +
  • Reputation points +
  • Infractions +
  • Contributions (Posts and Threads) +
  • Frequency of contributions

There is probably some mathematical formula that takes all of these things into account to determine our membership status / rating.

But I could be wrong.
