Guest *i*********y Report post Posted December 5, 2014 So as a newbie, without an established history of dating in this scene, what is a fella to do, shut it down and continue with mindless palamino dates??? I sent my reply to this post as a PM, figuring a lot of what I had to say would be automatically censored, but what the heck, let's give it a try and see what gets censored...... hope I am not breaking any rules by doing this. This is basically what I put in my PM You don't have to run away from pooning. See only ladies who have been recommended in the past and who have been around and established for a while, or someone who has been referred to you by a pooner who has been around for a while. Don't go to parlors of ANY type and never see anyone new, BP, EC wherever, stay away from new, unknown ladies. I would also avoid agencies, even well known touring one's as they are likely to be targeted by LE. Actually, the censor wasn't too bad, it only changed one word! fortunateone 156618 Report post Posted December 5, 2014 For someone new, your city's response to C36 is going to make a difference. finding out what your city council or local LE is planning, or not planning, is kind of important at this stage. mrgreen760 37786 Report post Posted December 6, 2014 The game is going to change and change quickly here. The sheer number (s) of those who have no clue what's coming speaks volumes. This and the other erb board have had lengthy discussions about the ramifications that may or may not happen. Regardless of whether one's opinion is the sky is falling or it's not the fact remains these boards represent a fraction and a small fraction at that of the overall players in the game. So the next few weeks are going to be very interesting here in the Peg....very interesting indeed. Peace MG

ezish12 587 Report post Posted December 8, 2014 anyone out there have a LE friend or some info from the govt level who can fill us with some information, regarding how serious Winnipeg LE going to be enforcing the law. It seems Vancouver is going to ignore this new law.
Guest *i*********y Report post Posted December 8, 2014 Just heard today that Ontario Premiere is considering asking the Attorney General to give her an opinion on the whether or not the law would stand up to a constitutional challenge. She doesn't like Harper and that could work in our favor! http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2014/12/07/kathleen_wynne_asks_ago_to_review_canadas_new_prostitution_law.html
bubba101 417 Report post Posted December 8, 2014 Well like any law it will work till someone gets tagged challenges it .My guess is the lower courts will side with the law and will have to end up in the supreme court. the accused better be pretty wealthy to be able to foot that bill. Possibly a class action would work but Im no lawyer so I cant say for sure.

Possibly a class action would work but Im no lawyer so I cant say for sure. The experience with sex work laws is that the lower courts do not side with the law. That is how the challenge got to the SCC, it was the govt who wouldn't accept the lower court ruling. Had they kept quiet after the first one, the SCC would never have been able to overturn those 3 items in a way that affected the entire country. The point of the Ontario govt doing something is that they don't actually need any client to represent.
armashine 110 Report post Posted December 10, 2014 I'm very new to this. I've seen 2 ██'S in one year. This might be a stupid question but if you meet an ██ for the first time & no cash has been exchanged yet, can you ask "Are you a cop" & then have a discreet grope /touch before any cash is exchanged ? Meaghan McLeod 179665 Report post Posted December 10, 2014 I'm very new to this. I've seen 2 ██'S in one year. This might be a stupid question but if you meet an ██ for the first time & no cash has been exchanged yet, can you ask "Are you a cop" & then have a discreet grope /touch before any cash is exchanged ? Don't do that. It'll only get you into deeper problems if she is Le. Cops lie all the time and groping her could lead to a sexual assault charge. The best way is to realize that you can no longer purchase specific services. However, there is nothing illegal about hiring an escort for specified time periods (hour, half hour etc). This is what you do instead of the old way of wanting X, y, and z for #$. As long as you are not asking for specifics, are not booking in a playground and she is not underage you will be fine. Go with the ladies who have recommendations.

I've told this exact thing to a few ...... in the past. The old touch my .... or let me fondle your breast because a cop wouldn't or can't do this, is so much BS. That is up there with the myth that if you ask if they are a cop they have to say yes. Cops are allowed to lie as part of their job. How do you think undercover work gets done. And when they do lie in court who is the judge going to believe?

fortunateone 156618 Report post Posted December 15, 2014 Each city is going to be different in terms of what they plan to enforce or not enforce. Some cities have talked directly to owners and said that they will not be approached, other cities seem to interview LE who appear to be antsy to get in there and cause trouble. I think tho that the majority of LE are saying the same thing: anything other than street work where LE does their own solicitation stings with undercover officer, the rest of the laws are nearly impossible to enforce, so they don't plan to do anything above checking out the trafficking reports or underage escorts. manitoba 2758 Report post Posted January 10, 2015 Does anyone know if there have been any charges under this law in Winnipeg or anywhere else? My guess that any charges to date would be for street work where LE had targeted efforts before and not on the more upscale end of the business, but that is just a gut feeling on my part. ( OF course being Winterpeg I doubt is much street work is going on right now anyway.)
