RIP Internet Explorer: Web reacts to browser's demise

Recommended Posts

They reported this on CBC tonight and played a clip of Bill Gates speaking in '93. He predicted the smartphone of today. It was spooky "You'll see where you are on a map, you will buy tickets, communicate with others, will pay for things electronically, store thousands of pictures and music, it will even be able to replace keys" etc etc. What a visionary. I mean this was before the World Wide Web was up and running.

Never really used it, since there are much better browsers out there. If you neglect something, it will usually fail or be ignored.

Hopefully the replacement will be much better, probably wont sway me still.

Replacing it will make sense for a little while...

I have always used the top three and interchanged them, although they did a good job with Chrome lately.

I.E. is fine for work environments as well, never had much an issue.

I'll miss Internet Explorer. It was the best browser ever to download other browsers. However I've stayed away from Chrome because I think any Google software is in reality top notch spyware.

Haha! Their replacement is dubbed "Project Spartan." I hope they keep the name, and use Gerard Butler as as spokesman.
