Why do people call me outside of my hours of availability and then chide me for not answering? Dudes, I leave my phone at my incall when I am done for the day. And why call outside the hours I'm available? E-mail me if you want to make an appointment, or call back when I am working. Better yet, don't call at all. By constantly phoning me well after I am finished work you have already proven to me that you're not the kind of client I am looking for. My schedule is for me to decide and you to respect (ditto my body - what's with guys who pinch and paw like an ill-behaved kid at the petting zoo?). If you *have* to call me when I'm not working, so be it. But don't act like I'm the bad guy for not answering, please and thank you.

I kinda get what you're saying but what if a client wants to call you to pre-book an appointment?

I've had guys call me at 4am, wanting INFO and they get ticked off when I tell them that 4am is a completely unacceptable time to call and discuss my services! Let's face it, unless I advertise that I am working at that time, 4am is unacceptable, period. By the way, the only reason I even bother answering these calls is because I want to see what someone who would dare call at that time has to say .

They can e-mail or call during my working hours for pre-bookings. You don't call your hairdresser at 10PM to book when their hours are only until 7PM. Yes, this industry is different, but what pissed me off is how I was being scolded because I don't answer my phone outside working hours. Between a day job (which has me up VERY early in the morning) and a social life, I refuse to drag my work phone around with me and answer it for someone who can't wait until I am available to call. Nothing says class like answering a cell phone at the orchestra. LOL

I agree with you we have set times and that's it. We have lives outside of this business respect .

I have email and always say its the best way to book a time. I also explain well before that I may take anywhere between an hour and 48 hours to return an email. If you want me be patient and you will be rewarded and may even become a regular client.

OK girls. I agree with the late night calls being atrocious unles you have advertised being available. I however do call some SPs during the day even if I'm not sure they are working because I happen to have an opportunity and would like to meet them. I understand if they cannot answer because of NON ailability. Hope tHAT THAT IS ok.....

As I stated twice now, I was pissed at being scolded for not answering outside my working hours. And if you're ever unsure of a ladies availability, check her webpage, Cerb, or other online advertising spots.

Very true indeed. SPs have a (private) life too. Lets respect that.

Hoo boy, do I ever hear that. I have guys phoning at ridiculous hours of the late night and early morning, leaving messages on my voicemail, even though my hours are very stated in my newspaper ads and on my website it says that messages left outside of business hours will not be returned. Often, they even say in the message, "I know it's outside of your business hours, BUT..." which to me is just the height of ignorance. I would never do that. I just don't phone businesses when they are closed. I can only imagine what would happen if I left a message for my nail tech at 4 in the morning, asking for an appointment. She'd never touch my nails again. Anyway, just listening to the messages was annoying me a lot because I work from home, so I eventually decided to just turn off the ringer at night and in the morning I erase whatever came in the night before without even checking it out, and I just leave it at that. I mean, I work from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 days a week and if that's not enough...well...too bad because you can extend your hours as much as you want but you can't win. The only thing that will satisfy some people is to be available to answer that phone 24/7. I have done 24/7 and it's no picnic. Never again!

What annoys me is when I give someone my number, and I tell them straight up, "This is my personal line. Do not call it for any reason whatsoever unless I tell you to." and seriously like half the guys I give my number too end up calling and texting whenever they want, and keep trying even after I tell them not to use that phone, and to only use email.

This....:sm185:

it still never ceases to amaze me how many people display poor judgment or simply bad manners.......

A service is being offered, familiarize yourself with the requirements as posted on a particular ladies web site and FOLLOW them........

If you don't want to follow a particular ladies wishes/rules that is your right, as it is HER RIGHT TO NOT deal with you.....

On the other hand......all the bad manners being displayed, certainly makes us gentlemen stand out from the crowd.....!!!

Unfortunately, most people fail to respect policies unless they understand there are extreme conscequences. Perhaps the ladies could advertise a policy that anyone calling them outside of their hours essentially forefeits their right to an appointment. After all, your company is a privilege, not a right. And as for the man who was scolding you Lindsay, perhaps you should ask him for his home number and call him at 4 am, apologizing that you knew it was outside normally acceptable hours but you just had to discuss that sports event/music concert/news item.

Right now I am only available during the day and where I advertise, I have the ability to be able to delete the ad which helps from having guys calling later on when I'm not available. I simply turn off the phone when I'm not around and also have set hours to answer emails. I don't hop, skip and jump for every email I get unless it is a pre-booked appt and I'm confirming for the next day. Usually emails that are sent to me are for advanced bookings and I know it can wait until the next morning. It is highly unlikely that a client will get back to you at 10 o'clock at night. As long as you reply to a client within 24 hours, I find that an acceptable business practice.

Also, seperating your personal life from your work life makes sense and helps maintain your sanity. I don't see clients 24/7 so why bother having the phone on or constantly answering emails during my free time? People in other jobs and careers have set hours and then they go home. I have learned to do the same thing. Being an escort isn't easy and to those who think we just lie on our backs and make money... think again!!

I blacklist anyone that calls between midnight and 8am. That is the sole reason why I keep my phone on (ringer off) all night; just to see who called. I then take note of the numbers and on my blacklist they go.

Avasational...I do the exact same thing. And have you ever noticed that they don't call just once but 5 or 6 times in 10mins!?! If I didn't answer the first time what makes you think I will 60secs from the first call!

Yes! You're right, Megalicious :D. They call and call and call...

It also amazes me when they call back a few days later at a normal time. I mean, c'mon; do you really think I'm that stupid? I know you called at 4am a few days earlier! Do you really think I'd overlook that little fact? By calling at such an obscene time of the morning, you are clearly indicating that you have zero respect for me and the way I conduct business. Definitely not the type I want to meet.

I do the exact same thing. IMHO, a database is the greatest thing ever. I think they call repeatedly because they're drunk, high, obsessed, or some nasty combination of the three.

I find the ones who call late hours, don't call back during the day - it's like they're a different crowd - the "wassup" guys who I don't normally see any how.

LOL the "wassup guys"...

*ring ring for the tenth time* - it's 4 a.m.

Me (annoyed): HELLO.

Caller: How's it goin'?

Me: How's it goin'? It's 4 in the morning.

Caller: It is? <pause> Oh, it is. So.......HOW'S IT GOIN'?

AAARGH.

I agree completely. The guys I see are usually the type who want a little action during their lunch hour or on their way home. I do 1 or 2 half hour appts and go home.

The "wassup guys" annoy me and once in a while they will text during the day but you're right, the daytime clientele compared to the night time guys are like night and day- literally!

The guys that call from different numbers and use different names. I call them on it.

Last night a guy called from his buddies phone booked for 8:00p.m. asked me to call him back in 20 minutes to confirm, I did and a different guy answers pretending to be him so I said you must be one time for our appointment, he said can I book for 8:30p.m. I said if you can't make it for 8:00p.m. we'll have to reschedule.

He wasn't getting in here. Too creepy, bad vibe.

I'm too smart for those games!!:handjob:
