I don't believe Loralee has access to the sp area yet. I think this might be a good opportunity to suggest she save some of her concerns for when she does get behind the scenes, but I think to be honest in this case she is genuinely interested in what motivates the client perspective on a no show rather than just asking sps for ways to prevent/avoid/deal with them.

I know this is not anything new but violence against sex workers does not get the same treatment or coverage as it would if the person or persons involved were not sex workers. On the front page of Thursday's edition of the CH was a story about the "dramatic" rescue of a deer that someone was keeping as a pet which apparently is against the law. Who knew? http://thechronicleherald.ca/NovaScotia/1202232.html Meanwhile buried on page 9 is this story http://thechronicleherald.ca/Metro/1202211.html Here is a story about a man who is being charged for the second time in six months with the kidnapping,sexual assault and torture of a sex worker he is also the main suspect in the disappearance of a third sex worker who has not been seen or heard from for over two months. So a story about a pet deer gets front page coverage while a story about a serial kidnapper/rapist/and probable murderer gets a page 9 rating. I can't help but wonder if these three women were 'respected citizens" would this still be a page 9 story?

This is a true story. In 2008, I was dancing at a strip club in Ottawa. I had two regulars who came to see me every Sunday when the club opened at 5pm. One was a man, I'll call him Tim, in his early 40s, the other a woman, I'll call her Jessie, (yes, a woman) in her mid 30s. Because the club was virtually dead at this time, I would take turns hanging out with them, and doing the dances. Tim thought it was silly I was bouncing back and forth between the two of them so he introduced himself to Jessie and we all sat together. Tim continued to get dances from me and he also wooed Jessie by buying her dances from me! This continued on for several weeks. I really enjoyed their company and their business, but at the same time, they stopped seeing me. I found out that they were now dating each other. I have no idea if they are still together today but I'm proud to have been a part of the story and helped "set them up." Now that's an amazing "how we met" story if I've ever heard one. I don't wish to speak on anyone's behalf but my personal understanding by reading the post was that no analogy was used for the ladies but since we are gifting/donating for ladies' time and companionship and some would also suggest their services (rather than paying for the lady) so the analogy was meant as a comparison between quality time and services provided by the ladies and other services rather than the ladies themselves who are not on sale which means in my view no one objectfied anyone anywhere.

Well this is my latest...no sorry longest lasting pet peeve as it were. I realize that I am "beating a dead horse" here but I have to say it anyway. It drives me nuts when here on Cerb guys see a lady worthy of a recommendation and they don't post one! How many frickin times has this been talked about and still it doesn't happen. Do we not ALL benefit from posted recommendations? The ladies deserve recognition for providing outstanding quality and the guys need to know who is worthy of seeing next. Why is it then that I still see threads entitled "Has anyone seen lady X?" Invariably one of the response posts will be "Yeah I saw her a real nice lady who provides great service." Why, why do you not post a recommendation for this lady? I can not understand why this still happens, I mean WTF?? Having said all of that I bet for damn sure that the recommendations posted by the rest of us are being read by these guys! So what recos. are a useful and valuable tool for YOU to read but not for YOU to post for others to have? My friends this is a two way street...so stop hogging the damn road!
