  1. Bit late to the party on this, but most places that allow Body Rubs turn a blind eye to it. There are some that in the by-law specifically say "no happy endings" but I am pretty sure that is not enforced unless a municipality has an axe to grind. LE looks at most of these places to stop, trafficking, underage and illegals. Something that can happen in Asian or Eastern European spas. Do your homework and you should be OK.
  2. Good idea Mystique. ;) I would have told you the same thing, but I was at the strip club all afternoon, waiting for you to show up. :P
  3. Funnily enough I was there yesterday (Saturday) afternoon as well, and yes there were not many ladies there. In fact it was unusual to have so few girls. I like to go in Saturdays because it is not as crowded but there are generally a good selection of ladies. I think they must have all been Christmas shopping yesterday. I was there and saw the very hot spinner Skyla, well worth the trip down Bank. I know that Jewel and some of the others come in around 4 pm to get ready for the night. Try again someday, yesterday was an anomaly. But still I had a good time.
  4. Jewel is awesome. She has been in the biz for a long time and used to dance at the Dollar, often working with her sister Chanel. You cannot go wrong with her. She is a down to earth sweetheart and a hell of a lot of fun. Her experience shows when you go for a dance, I am sure you won't be disappointed.
  5. Tease has an amateur night every so often. Give them a shout.
  6. Yes and Yes, although the dance areas still conform to the bylaw, they are less open to the whole room. Guys sitting at tables no longer get a free show. And the reno's are ongoing.
  7. It is no more, it snuffed it, shuffled off this mortal coil and joined the choir invisible, its fucking dead!!! The way it got shut down there is no way to transfer the key thing, which was the Adult Entertainment license and there is no way the city is ever going to issue any more. It would be impossible to resurrect. The one ray of hope in the west end is that the license for Jason's is still on the books. However it seems the land etc is reportedly owned by Terry Matthews and he is not pro-strip club. He may only be holding on to the license because it may have some business value down the way, and you don't get to be as rich as he is by throwing away money.
  8. Not that I want to play this game because there are too many opinions that people pass off as facts, but it annoys me. Take Health Care, the anti-Harper folks complain about how he cut health care. When Harper took office in 2006 the Canadian Health Transfer to the provinces was $20.1 billion. In 2014 it was $30.3 billion. Not a cut in my books. Not a cut to anyone who understands basic arithmetic. The feds had a 10 year deal with the provinces that would see the CHT grow by 6% a year, which was well above the Cost of Living index, and they have been living by that agreement. The agreement is up for re-negotiation but there has been no indication that the feds will stop increasing funding. But remember Health Care programs are a provincial responsibility and the Feds have no say in service delivery, but everyone likes to make them the brunt of the problem. Disingenuous to say the least.
  9. Your source is wrong. Try this one from CRA http://http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/nnrsdnts/ndvdls/nnrs-eng.html Non resident Canadians only pay tax on income they earned in Canada. And if they are also taxed on that money by another country they are probably entitled to a rebate because you should not be taxed twice on the same income. So a Canadian who lives in the US all year, and makes all their money there will not pay Canadian taxes.
  10. Wrong, ex-pats living in other countries do not pay Canadian taxes. (except those on government service like Dipolmatic corps and military) This is where the US gets it right. If you want US citizenship then you need to pay US taxes regardless of where you earned it. It is no Conservative plot, but thanks for turning over that stone. I think the approach is correct. If you can't live in this country and support it by paying taxes and participating in our society, why should you be able to sit off-shore and have your 2 cents and a vote? I think Canadians don't value our citizenship as highly as we should. Too-many hyphenated Canadians.
  11. It is still too early to determine if it is gone forever. A good lawyer could probably get it open again soon. They could also go the "non-alcohol" route like a lot of US clubs.
  12. I couldn't reply to the other post about the license suspension at the Dollar, so I will put it here. I too dropped by to see the notice on the doore, however, I do know what it is about. I won't say much other than if you had been paying attention to the news a couple of weeks back there were major police raids and arrests in Ottawa. The local news focused on raids in residential areas, but also mentioned a couple of west end businesses were raided as well. The Dollar was one of those places and was closed for a day or so after the raids. I won't comment much on it other than to say the raids had nothing directly to do with it being a strip club or C-36, and a lot more about other portions of the Criminal Code. I am actually surprised it took so long to temporarily "suspend" their license indefinitely. (Great concept from our Provincial government, temporarily for an indefinite period of time. Kathleen and her idiot band at work). If I was a betting man I would bet on not see them getting their license back anytime soon, unless they have really good lawyers, and LE did a really bad job on this case. I would also expect that the city will be following up quickly by suspending their Adult Entertainment license.
  13. I was talking to a spa owner in Toronto last weekend. She said that local licensed spas had already been called into talk to local LE and Councillors. They were told nothing was going to change in regards to them. They said they were already of the opinion that the law was going to be challenged, successfully and they were not willing to enforce a law that was so flawed or make arrests that were going to get tossed once it got to court. Now we just have a few more years to wait until sanity reigns again.
  14. I tried those numbing one's once without knowing and didn't understand the strange tingling feeling. I do prefer ONE condoms. However a recent sampler pack I purchased had banana flavour one's in it. The freaking bedroom smelled like bananas for a couple of days. I hate bananas. grrr...
  15. It is public perception that will drive this, and budgets. Many Canadians think of prostitution and all they see or can imagine are drug addicted street-walkers in shady neighbourhoods. The major conflict arises when up-and-comers move into these neighbourhoods and try to gentrify them. Then the complaints start. I see LE continuing their sweeps of street prostitution and maybe even stepping it up. I see them going for some low-hanging fruit with some agencies or even spas that are less than discrete or who annoy their neighbours. "I don't want my real estate office next to a brothel" I can't see them going after those flying below the radar, particularly indy's etc. The return for the amount of effort is not going to make it worth while for them. There would even be a low probability for a conviction. Trying to gather evidence that would hold up in court will be extremely difficult. So if you stay away from street-walkers. Exercise caution and only go with people you know are not LE or plants. (so look out for newbies on BP etc) I would wager you have nothing to worry about. I don't even think they will waste time with boards like this other than to gather a bit of intelligence on what is going on in the world.
  16. She retired and got out of this business several years ago.
  17. If I read the CMJ website correctly you can rent one of their rooms, and the place is fairly discrete.
  18. OK.. they are at Tease most days from Noon. They leave as early as 5 and as late as 7. Somedays they leave a bit later. I would suggest you contact them or call the club to see if they are working.
  19. They show up most days, but don't always put themselves on schedule. Best bet is to call the club and see if they are working. Or, just show up. Even if they are not there I am sure you will make friends.
  20. I always thought a church was supposed to be a haven and a refuge for anyone. As the song said, "Anyone is welcome to come in and sit down and pray." If you had taken a pew and assumed the position would they have bothered you I wonder?
  21. Oh please make it stop!!! Not this argument again. There are several threads discussing this, and some were quite heated. http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=177360&highlight=bbbj+dangers Is one of them. There are as many opinions on this as their are people on the board. On this topic opinions are like assholes, we all have one and no two are the same. Please don't feed the troll.
  22. Because some dancers are often notorious for not following the schedule. Also it is a hell of a lot of work for the club to put up and maintain. And often short notice on the schedule etc. Even the schedule does you no good if the lady decides to freelance and just shows up with out being on schedule.
  23. Different Chanel. The Tease Chanel is a Brazillian. Jewels was at the Dollar about a month ago.
