  1. I saw Amanda last week at their new location, and wow, what a treat! I never had the chance to see their old location (Angel's spa), but this was nice, clean and professional looking. Amanda greeted me at the door and showed me to the room, and as we walked there I knew I was in for a treat. She lets me know what is availible and gives me a couple minutes to get comfortable before joining me. She is really amazing with her hands and was able to help me relax as she massaged me head to toe. The entire time there was just the right amount of teasing. This angel is also gifted with things other than her hands, to which made an amazing finish. The new showers are great too if you need to clean up before heading off.
  2. Be polite. Don't be a jerk. If you try something and she says no, or motions no, stop. Be honest, especially when answering their questions ;)
  3. Is it best to prebook here or do they take walk-ins?
  4. I had heard they are doing an upgrade. Hopefully should be up soon.
  5. Afraid not (anymore). Your closest places are likely the Silver Dollar (Merivale south of Hunt Club) or one of the two downtown clubs (Barbs or Barefax)
  6. Aspertame is NOT toxic - its byproducts have shown to be toxic though. This is why you do not bake with aspertame (splenda is okay), or leave a diet coke in the car during a hot summer day. Only then can it break down into dangerous stuff.
  7. Handy little chart for anyone that is interested. http://healthnurse.wordpress.com/faq-about-sexual-health/sti-risks-chart/
  8. Nope, I don't think it was ever on (at least in recentish history). The one removed recently was paradise spa
  9. This may seem a bit weird, but have you ever looked into other types of birth control? Not for the pregnancy protection part (although that is a nice perk) but some types prevent menstration. Some pill types, IUDs, depo can effectively get rid of your period all together. Now, if you like the time off from sex during that time, that is great, but from a business point of view it would give you several extra working days every 28.
  10. Friday or Sat eve, post 10pm will have the most girls (also the most men too)
  11. I like a good russian and there is a good deal of flexibility in terms of cupsize. As a general rule Cs or greater work well. That said, I've had a great time with a girl who was a B. Using her hands to "bridge the gap" helps a lot, as well as playing with positions (since breasts are flatter when a woman is on her back, in this position they tend to need to be larger). An alternative is using a good pushup bra and giving the russian with it on (either ontop or behind the bra). This can be very sexy - also very messy :)
  12. I too will vouch for Katrina being an amazing dancer, she can just make your body melt.
  13. Acqua is probabily your best best (Booth and Albert)
  14. Went there this weekend had a great time. It's was a lot better this year than last due to the more 'seminar areas' and I found that the booths actually carried different merch, which made shopping really nice. I wish them luck on Dragon's Den, although I would unfortunately suspect no dragon would associate their name with that, too much of a risk given potential returns. I want to give a special kudos to CMJ for their booth. I was really impressed by it! I must remember it for the next bachelor party I have to organize
  15. Same here, banana seems to be quite popular as the emergency stop (so to speak)
  16. Barbs opens at 11:30 I think (I've never tried to break down the door), and lunch starts then I believe. Afternoons for dancers... between 3-6 from my experience.
  17. It depends what you want. If you want a true party atmosphere, but don't mind waiting/competing for the ladies (there is a lot during these, but the place is also full) try Fri or Sat post 11pm. Personally I've found early evenings work well since you get enough people not to make the place feels empty and the girls have time to sit and talk (and want to) before you take them in the back
  18. So was at barbs a week ago and saw the most amazing girl but was unable to get any time with her (she was always busy with another guy). Fairly short, well endowed and tended to wear leather and had an amazing dance on stage. Does anyone happen to know who she is? And even though I wasn't able to dance with her I had an amazing time with this one girl from Toronto. She was tall, slim and had small curves, but man did she look amazing in her outfit. She took me into the back for few dances. Wow, it was amazingly hot and her eyes just were looking into mine and it was heaven. I hope she comes back (and that I remember her name this time)
  19. The flu vaccine developed each year is new, not last year's model. In a nutshell some epidemiologists look globally of who is getting sick where with what, and knowing that flus are more previlant in the winter make some very educated guesswork as to what will be the prominant flu strains the next year (so imagine weather forecasting, but for the flu). They are usually 70% right or so, and guess the 3-4 main strains that will be going around. This year they were bang on, last year as well (H1N1), but the year before they were way way off so in essense the vaccine was useless 3 years ago as what people were getting sick from wasn't around. Your body does not care where it gets the genetic and protein markers from (be it from a live 'bug' or dead, chemically altered one), and in both cases for the flu it will be equally as effective. As for the risk of superbugs... those are bacterial based (not viral) and vaccines do not contribute to their creation. Excessive use of antibiotics does so. In essense by giving an antibiotic when the person has a viral infection (ie a cold or flu) or the person not completing their treatment course allows for the bacteria to learn how to combat the antibiotics, since there isn't enough present to properly kill them. And then there is complicated boring stuff such as bacteria can pass this antibiotic immunity to other bacteria, etc. In other related news, great article today in the CBC! So that link between autism and vaccines has long been shown to be false (correlation not causation) and the doctor in question has been shown to have FAKED his data completely. http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2011/01/05/autism-vaccine.html
  20. Half-truth. Letting your body fight it naturally has 2 key dependents. One, you must be able to survive the disease. Example: Hepatitis A. Your body may or may not be able to fight it off, but you're royally screwed if you can't, so the vaccine makes sense. Two, it depends on the category of the vaccine. Vaccines can be made through a variety of ways, the 'dead virus' versions work best. The body is given either a very weakened or dead virus and your body's immune system learns what to do. In this case, it learns just as you would naturally, but without becoming infected with the disease. The other option is basically a series of markers that the virus tends to have on it, which are given to your body as a good clue of "this is bad, killl it". It works, and your body will be able to fight it, however, long term recognition of the virus is not ensured. Common example is the tetnis vaccine, which you need to get every 10 years since your body has a habit of forgetting. ...............-- As for the other links to the "chemicals" in a vaccine, I can go through each one and explain what each does and why it isn't as dangerous as you think it is. Example ingredient list given from one of the websites: Sodium chloride - this is table salt... well without the iodine, but effectively salt. Sodium Hydroxide (also known as lye, caustic soda, soda lye.) - Reacts with acids to make sodium (first half of table salt) and water. Given that vaccines are at most 10mL into a body of... 40L (maybe more, just a guess) it will be diluted as well by the natural baking soda in your bloodstream (I kid you not). Formaldehyde - Neat compound. Also the byproduct of drinking methyl alcohol (windshield washer fluid). Found naturally in many products, including normal alcohol (in very low levels). Your body has an enzyme that cleaves this into two bits which are harmless. If you're worried, have a shot of whiskey as this will dampen any effects it may have (alcohol is common treatment in hospitals for those that have drunk the bad type of alcohol). Hydrochloric acid - Reacts with the sodium hyrdoxide to form salt water. It won't destroy tissue upon contact, since if it did you'd be long dead. Your stomach produces a lot of this stuff a day to aid in digestion. Aluminum - This is here to effectively perk up your immune system (it is called an adjuvant). It is not used in all vaccines. When used it is a rather small dose. It is toxic in large quantities, but so is water. Thimerosal: mercury derivative (contain mercury.) - People freak out at this... not sure why. Neat science trick. You can take and drink mercury and not suffer any ill effects (it passes through you, as it cannot be absorbed). The dangerous mercury is methyl mercury (found in fish) because it has been made organic and can be processed now by your body's cells. This is an ethyl mercury and cannot be absorbed by your body (although it does perk up your immune system - note this is also an adjuvant and is not found in all vaccines) Phosphates - Common element, found it matchsticks and most legumes and all cells in your body. Required for basic life. They do not suffocate aquatic life, as the author indicates. In the cases of aquatic life, here is what happens. The phosphates go into the water. They promote life, and within water algae is king. The algae grows at a crazy rate, and like all things dies. When it dies organisms break it down, using oxygen in the process. Because there is so much more algae than normal, it does consume all in the water and the fish suffocate. (this is grade 7 water cycle stuff btw).
  21. Exactly, follow the money. The cost of a flu shot for one person... let's be pricy here and say $5 a shot. The cost of addmitting someone to the hospital (this is just checking them into the system, no seeing anyone) is $500. It is cost effective for the government which pays for our healthcare to give the shot since it saves money in the hospital system. Added bonus - the vaccine creates jobs since someone needs to research and make it. And consider all the time off work that people aren't using. Again, it means more cash which can then be taxed. So yes, they are being selfish - however this is a good thing.
  22. For any of those that don't believe in vaccines, do a quick wikipedia check and look at the pictures for smallpox. That was a horrible disease that was only able to be wiped from this earth because of the use of vaccines. Polio was nearly the same sucess story however people forgot how it was to be without the vaccine. It was scheduled to be wiped out this year, however several small countries said - look we don't have any polio and stopped their vaccinations. Like anything, it came back. It is people's choice to get the flu vaccine, however I chose to do so since I can have it and statistically I am better off to have taken it than not. And contrary to popular mythic belief it does not make you weaker, since it is using a dead virus to train your body. I also have a friend who had a liver transplant and is on antirejection drugs. He unfortunately cannot have the vaccine and needs to rely on everyone else to not spread the disease for him. I am personally for the vaccine, but it is ultimately people's choice, and that no one should force. Just if you chose not to take it, do it for the right reasons. Lack of education or this corporate conspiracy stuff is not a valid reason and I prefer to keep my conspiracies to the movies. I am not a doctor, or a medical professional, but I do have a masters in science from many many many years ago.
  23. Many years ago when I was in university on several occasions the TAs tried to pick me up, so I guess it still happens. I do like your book reference. It is a great series!
