Police: Man fled crash to avoid yelling girlfriend

On pics: if they're in an album here and it's not set private or anything, that's odd. In general, when the pics are posted on another site then the hosting site may or may not ban hot-linking from other sites, and this can sometimes be a problem. Those are rep point comments. Use the button at the top of the post; this will give you a pop-up where you can enter a comment. It'll get truncated if it's too long. And be aware that you can't do this if you've already dished out reputation to too many other posts recently... which includes using the "Thank" and "Nominate" buttons.

I remember reading a thread a long time ago where it was mentioned that the spas often had a camera or two on the front door, but nothing in the rooms - this is so that they have a record of who's visited if anyone tries anything really nasty. This strikes me as being a sensible precaution. One other thing on spas: for me, they're very good for those situations when I'm thinking, "Well, I'll go if I have time." Under circumstances like that you can't book much in advance with anyone (making a habit of cancelling will tend to give you a bad reputation), but you can see who's on schedule at the spas and then call them when you know you're free and see if the MA you'd like to see happens to be available.
-
But realistically, the chances of LE raiding an independent MA at any time are pretty much zero. Go ahead. Have fun. Don't worry about it :)

On shower gel and deodorant - you could just get a selection of them, and visitors can then use "the right one". You probably only need to have a few to ensure that most guys will be able to find something that's about right. Of course, this assumes you're working from your own location, rather than lugging all that between hotels...

Threads and pics?

Also, keep an eye on Cowboy Kenny's Diary - he does an excellent job of keeping on top of fake pics and other scams. -
And this is why Mod's coming down so hard on everyone for putting anything that even slightly looks like a sexual service in an ad here: it's so the board doesn't get hauled through the courts.

Have a look at this thread: http://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=397266#post397266. it may address the problem you're having...

G+ ever went north??? :) Yeah, not everyone will like it, and to be honest they haven't ironed out all the bugs yet, and with all these things a lot depends on how many people actually sign up - if they never get critical mass then it'll never be any good. Anyway, we'll see... and I figured that in the meantime there wasn't any harm in claiming my patch of turf.

what are you doing at this very minute?
Phaedrus replied to Exotic Touch Danielle's topic in Fun Threads
Shopping! Because today, it's mandatory. -
I'm wondering... is anyone on Ello yet? New social network, for those who don't know, based around *not* selling everything about you to advertisers... If anyone is, I'm @_Phaedrus_, so give me a shout. If not, and you want to be, drop me a PM with your email and I'll send you an invite (I don't think the free-for-all on sign-ups has begun just yet...)

There's only two incidents I recall in the last few years around here. First: a spa on the Quebec side was raided and shut down, which IIRC was because it was right next to a daycare or something (I don't know which was there first). I don't know whether anyone was actually prosecuted or not, but I don't recall hearing about it. Second: ISTR that when Operation Northern Spotlight happened (the first one), one or two spas got visits from LE, as did some independent ladies. But those weren't aimed at catching clients; the official reason was to check up on the well-being of the ladies working and to ensure they were all old enough and not trafficked. They never explained how going after well-established indies and spas was going to help with this, though. Of course, people whose day-jobs are in law enforcement visit spas in an unofficial capacity all the time, but that's an entirely different matter :) I'm sure any other spa would too, if you asked :) The main problem would be coordinating the MAs' schedules, but that's going to be the same anywhere.

Many thanks for getting that done, Mod! Much appreciated! -

I have a bit of a preference for seeing someone independent, but not much. If I want to see someone then I'll go see her whether she's independent or not.
-
Now that the redirect is set up, I don't see why Mod would remove it. So my guess would be... indefinitely.

She could be Athenia, Spartan...
Phaedrus replied to randyzak's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Escorts
Maya at Angel's Touch is from that part of the world, I believe. She may not be quite what you're looking for as she's an MA, and you posted this in the escort section, but... there you go, for what it's worth :)- 1 reply

New Advertising - Questions & Answers
Phaedrus replied to Smirk's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I can't speak for Mod, but my understanding is that what matters is what can be seen by visitors to the site. That doesn't include PMs. Realistically, PMs are not monitored or moderated at all (AFAIK) and so the only way Mod would ever find out would be if someone asked for your website and then reported your PM when you sent it. I *hope* nobody would be that much of an asshole. -
Need Explanation Of New Laws........
Phaedrus replied to daytonaxo's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Actually, you and I and the rest of Canada have that same question. Nowhere in the bill does it specifically spell out what actions of a sexual nature are prohibited! That will be left for the courts to decide. This was mentioned quite a bit during the legislative process, and was done by design. We all now have two options: 1. Use the most conservative interpretation of "sexual service" you can think of 2. Be prepared to become a test-case so this can be argued in court. For most people, the second option is simply not on the agenda, and the resultant chilling effect on both discourse and activity is precisely why the language in the law is so vague. -
Fantastic, EmJ! Congratulations!

Congratulations, Christine... and good job on the foresight :)

1 and 2 are sensible. I don't think 3 matters much. You'll also be fine with someone you haven't met before but who has a good track record (some recos/reviews, has been around for a while). Absolutely! If all you've done is arranged to meet someone for an hour (or whatever) then you've done nothing remotely illegal. Where you found her phone number or email address is irrelevant. I carry cash all the time, although admittedly it's not normally in an envelope :) I'd have thought that any form of electronic payment is far riskier, because it's traceable after the fact (if someone really wants to bother). Cash is fundamentally untraceable. Before you walk into the room, nobody can prove what you intended to do with it. After you leave, no-one can prove where she got it from. If LE raids the room while you're in it, just disavow all knowledge of anything, but... ...what you describe isn't really a sting, IMHO, it's a raid (assuming you're seeing a genuine person rather than an undercover cop). It's highly unlikely to happen; the police have a million better things to do than go breaking down the door to catch consenting adults having fun. They generally won't do this without good reason, and that usually means they have a good reason to suspect trafficking, someone acting against their will, or someone being under-age. What I'd call a sting is when a cop puts an ad somewhere, or hangs out on a street corner, and anyone who shows enough interest gets arrested. This is easy to avoid; don't look for a good time on the street, and avoid the brand new girl on BP or wherever. Sticking with people you already know and not discussing specifics in advance will eliminate pretty much all of it, I think.
