Yeah, I usually have a 2 week supply of backup food, nothing crazy, but I keep the freezer stocked and keep a supply of canned goods, just in case something bad happens. But in the spring I started keeping a list of things that were difficult to find locally. - flour - yeast - water jugs (water cooler) - cold meds (good old buckleys cold and fku - Tylenol (really? Do you need 20 bottles of it dude ahead of me in Costco) - hand sanitizer - frozen veggies These are the things I'm stocking up again now. Note: stocking up, not hoarding. Please everyone don't hoard. Also, its good to have a 2 week run of antibiotics on hand, but maybe that's the prepper in me.

Well, as I mentioned in a different thread about intermittent fasting, I've been trying to lose a bit of weight. As I've gotten older, like most fellas, I've noticed a bit of extra weight being held on to the last few years. Usually I go up about 10 lbs over the winter due to lower activity levels, and then go back down when the warm weather hits. With this 'wonderful' year of strife and setbacks it seems the weight stayed on over the summer. Just not getting out and being active enough coupled with bad eating habits. It all adds up. Anyway... the reason for the post, when I started dabbling with the intermittent fasting idea, I was finding that the days I stick to it and also pay attention to what I eat, I've been losing about 0.8-1.2 lbs a day. Then unfortunately on weekends I tend to stray and then gain a couple of lbs back, and the cycle continues. I even bought a "smart scale" to help me keep track so I can plot out my weight daily. So why the heck am I even posting this? Why are you even still reading this stupid post? Why the title? Well my friends, I found a great weight loss program. I booked some time with my favourite provider last week, and found out the next morning I lost almost 2 lbs! My friends! I have found the best weight loss program ever! Ladies of Lyla, you need to start including this in your marketing materials! "Come see me, but you better be prepared to lose more than your mind, be prepared to lose weight! "

Sorry to resurrect an old topic, that I even created myself, but I just saw some stuff about a new "bitcoin payment service" aimed at this community. I just created an account to check it out. It doesn't seem to be providing any value over and above what an actual free wallet provides and it is charging you 6% of all funds you receive through it. The only value proposition I can see is that the user interface seems to be more friendly to a "new to bitcoin" user. Please remember, using a service such as this, you don't actually own any of your bitcoin. Someone else is holding it for you, and charging you 6% interest for doing so. If they decide to suddenly disappear, so does your bitcoin. Any free wallet you sign up for does the same thing that this one does, without charging you 6%! Please reach out to me if you need help with this sort of thing, I'm not gonna charge you for it...

Just binged "Never Have I Ever" . Apparently I'm a teenager with all these shows I've been watching lately. I was impressed. It's produced and/or written by Mindy Kaling, who I think is both really talented and kinda annoying in too high of a dose, but this is yet another great show of hers. Basic premise, 3 teens are growing up in an affluent area, they are all nerds in their own right, and dealing with trying to navigate life. Throw in a sudden parental death, someone realizing they are gay, and the lonliness of being abandoned by your mother, and you got yourself a winning premise! All sarcastic wit aside, I really enjoyed it, they really spent some time developing the characters and have that right mix of comedy and gut-punch sadness.
