highlights of the day

Recommended Posts

While sitting on the couch playing on the computer, my newly-adopted dog (a ten-year-old pug!), climbed onto the couch cushion and rested his head on my shoulder. CUTEST!!!!

A belated but on going highlight. Two of my kids were home last weekend and will not be back until just before Christmas. They asked if they could put up my Christmas decorations since they have not done it for years. So, my house is fully decorated except for the real tree that we will get when they come for Christmas. Looks kind of nice in here. :) My outside lights are ready to turn on for December 1st.

Having a bond fire out side to ward off the chill late this afternoon as the sun went down. Last fire of the season!

The doctors found a pill for my SO headache after sex(orgasms) tried it for 2 nights in a row and they work. This also sucks since they cost $25 each and this means I might quit this lifestyle which I really enjoyed very much. I think it's more of an highlights since I love my wife very very much and I would do anything for her.

My God! This makes a little ED sound like a walk in the park! I hope you are able top come to terms with this. The price of the medication would be alright if you only have to take it before the event, but there will be other things that Wikipedia has not made clear for me, so the best of luck and understanding to you.

Wow mrrnice!! That made me smile too! So happy you shared that:)

Today I made a wreath. I gathered Jack pine, Fir, Blue Spruce, Hemlock and Holly:) I had no clue how to do do it, but wow turned out beautiful:) Different shades of greens, blue`s and golden. This might be my new tradition:)

Today I took my dog for a walk in the golf course behind our hotel :) and I decided to let her off her leash for a good run (the course id closed for the season)

Of course she ran straight to a HUGE flock of HUGE geese and chased them off. I couldn't help but laugh when they flew off squawking as she chased them through 3 holes.

Red letter day, my daughter told me that I'm going to be a grand dad. It's my first and I've been anticipating this for some time.

I have a couple highlights, please bare with me.

One of the highlights of my day was the sense of calm I felt after teaching my tutorial. It was dreadfully boring, and I let the students go home early. We laughed and watched random videos that had nothing to do with the subject matter of the course, and I felt a sense of pedagogical pride because they did well on their quizzes. I doubt it had anything to do with me, but I was happy nonetheless.

This week I organized my 'god knows what' drawers and organized my 'closet of shame'. I made decisions and acted upon them, and tonight... right now... I feel so calm, so good. My apartment is organized, my life feels organized, and I feel really amazing :) I'm finally getting a handle on things and feeling calmer.

Another highlight of my day was reading this thread moments ago! Congrats Boomer!

MrrNice2, I'm so happy you put up a Christmas tree near her grave... <3 It brought a smile to my face that you would do such a thing and knowing you personally, I'm not surprised!

I had a different highlight ... but it's been surpassed. Reading Mrnice's highlight is definitely my highlight as well. What a fabulous thing to do.

My friend who was just diagnosed with a brain tumor stopped in home yesterday with her hubby and daughter........so effing good to give her a tight hug. She's in Halifax tonight to prepare for meeting with specialists tomorrow to find out what's what. She's so very upbeat........pissed off and ready to do battle. Her motto is "let's get it on". She has so many friends that if the power of positive thinking is real, she'll win. I do hope for the very best outcome.

I have three highlights. My first one was having a client friend help me pick up my new liberator couch with me. You know who you are and it was so sweet of you to help me pick this couch up. You treat me so well.

My second highlight is doing business with Wicked Wanda's. The service was top notch, my order was placed immediately and my couch came in really fast. Wanda tried the best she could to also lower the shipping price for me but with products so big there is nothing really you can do. I give a 10 out of 10 for the service at Wicked Wanda's.

My third highlight was being treated to dinner. I had a delicious spicy beef dish, yum, what a good day.

My friend with the brain tumor..........they have now decided they can operate after first telling her it was inoperable due to location. Friday is D-day and optimism abounds. All day surgery and then 3 days recovery in ICU. Life could be a lot worse.
