RANT - No one is named!

Recommended Posts

I am sick and tired of the no shows and the late shows!

Who are these people that email you, call you, text you....put so much effort into setting up a time to meet and then don't show? No warning, no call, no anything!?!?

Almost just as bad.....showing up over 20mins late!!!!

I may sound paranoid but...could they actually be the SO's or "handlers" of less than professional SP's with the intention of keeping us busy so they can potentially reap the benefits of less providers available?

I assume the best in everyone (obviously a severe personality fault). There are enough hobbiests to go around! I hate having to turn down a regular because some jerk decides to play games with me!

Sorry for the rant and perhaps someone out there can shed some light on this issue!

Meg....many of us understand and show sympathy on this tiopic.

There are numerous threads about it........

It happens...and it is to bad Ottawa is well known for it......

that is why a black list or grey list in the SP section is good for this......

I just don't get it either.

If I go to the trouble of setting up a date, I make sure I make that date hell or high water.

If something unforeseen did happen I would be sure to phone. It's just common decency. I guess its not as common as I would hope.

Meg,

This seems to be continuing problem. Maybe you ladies could lead a discussion on the open forum and come up with some rules. We guys could provide our ideas.

Rules such as 15 minutes late the date can go to someone else. Or the client would pay the full session if it started late because of the client.

Simple rules a SP can follow or should follows so the clients understand the consequences before hand. And the the ladies wouldn't feel bad enforcing those rules if they become common practices.

Anyone who sets up a session and doesn't show up without providing a valid reason within, let's say a couple of hours, should be blacklisted in the SP section. If all SPs did this, it would eventually clear up the situation. The person could be on the black list for maybe a month or three. Then his name could be removed and he be given another chance. It's called trainig the children....

I agree completely. It's not very professional as our time as SP's is precious and the ones that do that, I feel do not respect us or our time and professionalism.

Just imagine if the SP was a no show or late without giving an honest reason.

Its a problem for many professionals. For example my Dentist charges if he doesen't recv 24 hrs notice of a cancellation so its obviously a problem for them, as well they seem to employ a girl full time whose only job is to confirm upcoming appointments. I get no shows as well in my line of work and it is frustrating to say the least. For the clients who give me no notice I usually make a decision as to whether to pursue the business or not. A second no show is a dead file unless the client is of very high potential value.

I don't think there is a universal or final solution to this sort of problem its just part of the professional services industry

there has always been this no-show crap going on...that's why i feel it's important to get references. The gents are less likely to not show then...as not only will they lose one provider but they will most likely lose 2.

Being late is another thing...call us and make sure you can still come. We do have a life outside of this. I give 15 mins no call no date..and i will black list right away.

People making appointments then changing their mind 5 or 6 times in 51 emails just gets listed in the bad section..OK OK that happened to me Saturday...but still he's now listed. Even though he did cancel...why? Cause who in their right mind sends 51 emails in 2 days...lmao

my 2 cents..

kisses,

Emma

I do agree - it is common courtesy to let someone know if you can't make. Real life does sometimes get in the way.... But there's no excuse for not letting someone know. After all, you have the contact information to make the date, so it doesn't change just because you need to cancel instead.

This is the other side of this never-solvable and widespread problem. For me, it's the one truly persistent downside that I have found in this hobby. Every person's time is (or should be) exactly as important as every other person's time -- be they provider or client. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

I've been on the other end of this situation;with an indie MA and an SP..

As a new hobbyist I didn't know what to expect, just that I'd commit to what ever I decided.

MA: I Set up an appointment monday-ish, for a Friday, then Friday came and 25m after knocking on the door (a couple of times only) and feeling like a donkey for still being there LOL I left.

Frustrated and disappointed mostly because that they were highly recomended here.

I was eventually contacted 2 weeks later via email to be informed they had moved and didn't have internet access until that time.

(never really trusted that answer but what do I know)

The Sp had a family emergency and an hour afterward I was able to contact them to reschedule. I was only mildly upset assuming this was the norm in the industry *shrugs* but still unhappy.

Guys, if my experiences of frustration and anger are anything like what these women go through when you do it to them PLEASE hede (?) my advice...

Don't do it

He just wanted someone he could talk to!...... I have never been late,i always make sure i am in the area 10-15 minutes before a date. But i did have to wait once for an SP, talked on the phone a couple of time while on route to the hotel assured me she was on her way, half an hour later she was there.

The more you screen your callers the less this happens. In the past when I asked the ladies some questions (Ladies who were complaining about no-shows in Ottawa and other cities) I got some disturbing answers. Most did NOT take the proper steps to verify clients (and this is not only for NO SHOWS but also to keep you SAFE as well). Some ladies still take bookings from payphones, email only contacts and even PM's... Ladies you NEED a phone number that you can call to verify.

Questions to ask yourself as a SP..

1) Do you call back your clients to confirm the phone number is legit and to confirm the appointment (Many said no)

2) Do you keep a log of people who has no-showed in the past and compare phone numbers, emails, names, etc... and black list them (Many said yes but still some said no)

3) Do you check the SP ONLY area to see if the email/name/phone number matches with someone else who had the same problem. (You should all try to gain access to the SP ONLY area if you do not have access

4) Do you get references from other SP's? (This is starting to become much more popular)

5) When I client no-shows do you call or email them to ask why?

If you all work together in the SP ONLY area you would all have a LOT LESS no-shows but you have to confirm the phone numbers by calling back the number to verify it is a real active number (Call display is not fool proof - you can Spoof it meaning you can make the call display show a false/fake number).

thank you MOD for your input....sometime even all of those steps lead to an unsatisfactory end. But I will be much more vigilent from now on!

I've never been a no-show and no sp has cancelled on me.

So I wondered if the no-shows are newbies. Maybe they backed out at the last minutes. Just a thought. If that's the case, it'd be hard to rectify it.

Whether the person is a newbie or not, it only takes a modicum of manners to make the phone call or send a PM that the appointment needs to be cancelled (for a valid reason and not just cold feet) or that you will be arriving late, but within a reasonable time from the original appointment agreed upon.

I think the solution is to be extremely diligent in blacklisting clients.. We dont give a second chance to no shows.. its not worth the headache..

we turn at least 20 blacklisted ppl away daily.. even if they swear up and down they are showing up this time..

Get cold feet or are afraid of ....... let me tell you this, last year around March I had read the recos for emma A and did not wait to PM her for a date. I had been checking out her pics and recos for over a week and when I showed up at the location I had almost turned around for fear that I could not put out good enough for this lady. But with a bit of guts I called her and got the info I needed to see her. When I knocked on the door and she opened it I was relieved to see how well she took care of me greeted me in her apartment.

And I actually did very well with her and found out that I have got balls, yea that's right balls.

I would never do a not show for respect to the lady.

Lexy, no need to imagine this situation it happens more frequently than you might expect, but still does not excuse the clients who pull this bullshit. It's very simple people, make an appointment-keep an appointment, how is that complicated ? I do truly appreciate the frustration and grief this causes the sp's and agencies I just don't understand why it happens!

I think not showing up for any appointment is down right rude. I think it might be the (low life) competition playing games, surely not that many people are that inconsiderate.

I agree. Just because it's sex doesn't mean it isn't a business, and hopefully sps can treat is with that level of good business sense. It is good business to not allow your time to be wasted by anyone who can potentially waste your time and cause you to turn away a legitimate caller.

A phone call is by far superior way to screen a client than emails, and don't get me started on texting. How many sps have been sent on bogus outcalls because they trusted an appt completely set up by text? It is just common sense that you at least confirm the person on the other end of the email or text is male (unless it is supposed to be female :boobies:)

How can someone be accountable if it is so easy for them to say, oh, I couldn't get to my email so I couldn't cancel. This is especially problematic for an sp who refuses to give out their phone #. She will really be stuck, the appt needs to be confirmed not less than an hour in advance leaving her unable to arrange any sort of back up plan if in 1.15 hours that doesn't show up. Have them phone to confirm if the booking was by email, and you get the # and a commitment.

I have a 2 call system (nobody is permitted to book via email, and have no texting) Call any time for information, let me know an approx time unless it is for right away, then call back when ready to head over. I am very clear that no appt can be prebooked for new clients, but that I will make every effort to be available around their preferred time. If they cannot make it, no cancellation is necessary and I do not consider them a no show anyway. If they claim they can, I know they are calling within a half hour of arrival, I have nothing else lined up when I agree and when 30 minutes have past they should be there. If anyone else calls, I give them an approx time in the future that I will be available, and let them know I might be earlier if they want me to call them back sooner.

The motives for the no shows are unknown to me. Especially the ones who call to confirm an appt (and you have seen them before!) but they do not show up. Typically, these are the ones with the block # lol, which I do answer, as well as payphones, because I am so accustomed to voice screening that I am very happy with who I see with or without a #. To me, the tradeoff is that payphone, block# or real # are all equally likely to show up or not show up, so it makes not much difference in the end. The key elements is that conversation PLUS a confirmation call is made shortly before the appt time.

That actually works well for clients as well: if you do it all by email, then think you have an appt set up, you can only benefit by asking can you call when you are ready to head over to confirm. Or same day or closer to the time. I think you will be assured she is on time and will be there if you talk to her before you start knocking on the door.

When we book time with a courtesan we make a commitment to meet someone. It seems though that commitment is a foreign concept to some people. Well, in my opinion, deal with your lack of commitment issues. If you cannot, find another hobby.

For as much as Meg is right, there is also the other side of the coin. There are women out there who will agree to meet and they too do not show. I generally stick to touring independents and when I tried locals, both times they did not show. I even sent polite e-mails asking if everything was okay and not even an answer. What annoyed me the most was that both had excellent reviews on this board. Needless to say, these two no shows will not get future business. I chalked it up to experience and moved on. There are a lot of providers out there now; gone are the days when the only ads in Ottawa on Escorts-Canada were Alexa Taylor and Daisy.

When I meet someone I like, I tend to repeat with them. I may not meet very many courtesans, but I know what I am getting and there is a lot less drama and disappointment.

As for the black list in the SP section, why not a white list in the SP section for clients who are respectful and courteous? I honestly find it awkward asking a courtesan for a reference. It is like saying, I had a great time but next time I hobby, I want to meet someone else. It just feels wrong.

Well, that's my ranting two bits.
