Why should we look at 2 awards: At first even before I was nominated I sent a pm to Mod asking for 2 service providers to be on the list they were Annessa and ErinXO. I felt that ladies here contribute a lot of good information on this board, hence my thumbs up for these 2, Emma's name was already on the list. I felt that I did not have a snowball chance in hell of even competing against these ladies.The fact would be that the Providers would seek more votes from other providers,which has already been determined by Beth's comment and Paige's. The LAST thing I want from this vote, is anyone feeling un-easy or if fact backing out. The whole concept of a Valued Member such as, Dreamer,Dummpy,Cowboy Kenney, Cat, Emma was to acknowledge their efforts here at CERB, not to get into a popularity contest. It is not about who has the most post's, look at what is happening now, we all can post pictures,(I've posted pics too).... but the fact is we love the information,sharing it, safety for ladies and hobbiest(Thanks CK now we have bait and switch), recommendations, now we got groups started, it is all about the wealth of information a member can bring to the board and contribute to others. For you to gracefully step down after a few people mention they have issues with you winning (yet another award, that you totally deserve) was very diplomatic of you, but I can see where they were coming from which leads me to my next shout-out: Hey Mod, Perhaps this award should have two categories- Provider and Hobbiest, it does seem a little unfair as providers are more likely to have many more admirers than a hobbiest might, except in Pete's case as he is such a sweetheart, was definitely a tough decision to choose between the two of them... So to even out the playing field (but still allow a provider to earn the valued member award) there should be two categories, just like in boxing: you wouldn't put a heavyweight with a flyweight, it just doesn't make sense! The SP award is for your favorite SP member the Valued Member award is for members contributions to the site. Many SP's contribute a lot to this site! Emma and many of the other ladies contribute to this site, taking time to answer your questions and to be part of the community. They deserve recognition as much as the guys who contribute. Now, maybe we should offer TWO awards when we do this? One for the SP with the highest votes and one for the Hobbiest with the highest votes? Would anyone object to this? This award is just a way to show some recognition to everyone who contributes. Just to be nominated means at least 1 person on the site values your contributions (that says a lot about you!) and to have additional people vote for you here shows that more then 1 person values your contributions and wants to see you get some recognition for it. It's nice to get the MOST votes but really everyone involved in the poll is already a winner. Personally I think Pete and Emma both contribute a lot to the board and would love to see either of them win the recognition (or both)... but the vote is not over yet and I am not going to withdraw anyone from the voting poll. We only have 89 voters so far and 1000's of members. So far 2,104 people have viewed this thread and 89 have voted. That is just 4% of the viewers... hopefully we can increase this number.

Always sorry to hear abou t someone getting ripped off. CL is a know hazard, and we try to give each other as much info as possible, but there are so many scam artist with more time on there hands then us that it's hard to keep ahead... At least you did not get hurt, at least physically. Be safe.

That is what I am trying to say, we get short sighted when SP's give us a little more and start to take it for granted, extra's are the SP version of gifts, accept them graciously don't take them for granted. If I had taken an SP on a trip as a travel companion and expected her to be by my side 24/7 I would also expect to pay $1200-2000 a day + expenses. When I take a lady to diner I do not take into account what the meal cost. If I bring a lady a gift I do not consider that as part of the payment, otherwise it is not a "gift". I can't speak specifically about this trip because I don't know all the facts; I just know that I could never spend 24/7 with a client. I can work 8-10 hours at a time and then I need a break. As for worrying about an SP, I have learned that most of them have very good resources and rarely actually need the White Knight that we want to be. I think it breaks down to how we are wired, some of us are one man one woman types and some of us are poly. Also the SP?s are doing this as a means to make money, they need to be sensitive to the one man one woman types and we would prefer that they not discuss other clients with us. The vast majority of ladies interested int he Poly events demand that we not mention there names. (gee I wonder why??) In this case I don?t know the specifics of what the lady intended or how it went down other than Pokers version, in my experience there are always 2 versions of the events. What I am saying is just general information, SP?s are poly that is how they can do their job.
