Last night I received an email from a potential guest that set me off, and I would like to take a moment to express to those men out there that think they can lie to SP's and get away with it. His emails and pm's were polite and respectful for a couple of days and then out of the blue the request for bbfs comes. I chose not to answer it, and simply deleted his emails. Today I find out he has contacted other SP's with the same request but a completely different story line. He gave me a story to elicit sympathy, tailored to play to my nature. He has obviously read my posts. His entire approach was intentionally manipulative and I thought I would put this out there for the members of CERB to see. CERB is a closer knit community than many realize and those that lurk in this membership intending to take advantage of SP's need to move to another board. This behavior is completely unacceptable and I for one, will not tolerate it. This is the only online community that I maintain an online presence because of the exceptional attitude that MOD works so hard to ensure. For those of you out there who are up to no good, find somewhere else because your kind are not welcome here. Cat

It is not usual, even in everyday conversations...the best way to respond is to create a diversion, as Cat suggests, a kiss may work, but a slap in the back of the head may be more effective:roll:. Kidding aside, a playful slap on the ass with a bit of humour to cut it out with the 20 questions should be enough to change the subject. It is expected that small talk will lead to personal questions. While everyone has a different level of comfort sharing, no one needs to feel uncomfortable. You would be entirely justified in setting boundaries clearly when/if this occurs again.

Yep, that is my number one POV about anyone asking for bbfs ... that they have something and deliberately want to spread it around. Maybe it is revenge cuz they blame a woman for giving it to them, or whatever vengeful idiocy, but here is a warning for those who do this for that reason: You can be charged with ASSAULT if you knowingly and willfully engage in bbfs with someone when you have HIV/AIDS or other stds. There are very public cases of men who have AIDS who know that they have it and deliberately have unsafe sex with partners. Some women have died, these men have been charged. And that was with casual partners or setting up these women as if they were their gfs. A significant number of board members from various boards threaten, coerce and blackmail (or try to) to get favours from escorts either with a promise of a good review or the threat of a bad one. Fortunately, cerb members have less power with this kind of threat due to the nature of this board. Exposure is the surest and swiftest way to deal with these kinds of lowlifes. Another warning to these guys: this information IS SHARED all over the place, on other boards in private areas, in public Neighbourhood watch sections, in threads and posts and so on. You will be exposed, to the people who it affects the most. One day you will approach someone who you really should not have and your a** will be toast. :twisted::twisted:
