I am attracted to ads that cover off all the basics and follow conventional elements of styles (they're called conventional for a reason, people - no one wants to READ ALL CAPS, have to wade through run on sentences and small type) I believe a well written ad should include: Who are you - reveals something about yourself Physical description Location Availability (Days and Hours) Important Links (Websites, Recos, Blogs, etc.) Preferred Method(s) to reach you (pm, e-mail, phone, etc.) Any caveats (e.g. no blocked numbers, etc., only here for a short time until August 6th) Other Useful Info: (e.g. available for duos with, etc.) Turn Offs: Too much wordiness - less is best Too many different font sizes and colours - tiresome to reader Negative style ads - bashing the competition Overly explicit language - cheapens the image Cliche language - ads that look like everybody elses Grammatical and spelling errors Turn Ons: Use of imagination, wit and creativity When someone tweaks or changes their ad to keep the reader wondering what is she going to come up with next - Tess' ads come to mind for example I don't always practice what I preach myself, but having been involved in marketing, desktop publishing and document creation for many years, so I tend to be overly picky than most. Ladies - please take a moment to really think about what your assets are and let the gents know - you are much more than a physical description and an address. Entice, but leave something to the imagination and they will be intrigued and curious and will call...

I am making this a mandatory read as I am getting a lot of PM's from people asking if they did something wrong as some posts that were made recently and some people's PM's have vanished. I did not intentionally delete these or anything like that so please do not assume I did as I am getting angry PM's from people who think I did this intentionally. This is NOT something we on purpose. The site had a major crash yesterday (July 20th 2010) and we lost some data but were able to restore most of the data and get the site back online for everyone. We had a hard drive fail earlier in the week and to make a long story short... this messed up the database that runs cerb. I thought we had it all fixed and sorted out and back on a new drive... but it was not 100% ... turns out we did not have the problem fixed completely as the albums part of the site had another crash yesterday and we almost lost all the ladies photos. I fixed this but in turn had to restore the site using a a backup of the database from the previous night (so some posts during the day were lost and some people got noticed for PM's they had already read - everyone had to log back in and it was just a giant mess) The problem why I can not restore PM's was the backup file was not saving as a complete backup (only a partial backup as the error in the picture table was stopping the backup) so unfortunately some people have lost some PM's and Posts. I have tried my best to restore the PM's and Posts that I could salvage (all others I regret to say have been lost). Many of you store pm's on the site (I do it too and it's a bad habit but I do understand many of you don't want to store this info in other places) I am taking extra steps to ensure the backup database dumps are complete each night so we can avoid this in the future. I have also removed the photos from the database and placed them in a folder on the server (Making the database smaller so this should also help). This was not done previously as it caused a security risk but that risk is no longer an issue so hopefully this stops the same problem from happening in the future. I do apologize for the loss of the PM's and any posts that have gone astray. I would consider Escorts-Canada the grand-daddy of all legit sites in Canada. The MOD can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe is someone is posting fake pictures, pulling bait and switch, their ad will be pulled from E-C, just as it would on CERB and they would not be welcome back. So, you can't better than that!

I just read something about business being slower then ever before for some ladies...so I wanted to bring this thread back up. For me (ymmv) the absolute biggest turn off in the whole wide world, is this: Referring to this as your work, job and/or business. I know that's what it is, but I don't want to think of that when I'm looking at you and your advertisement deciding if I might like to go visit. Call it that in your mind, say it to your friends, whatever...but don't post messages or answer the phone with those words. "Hi baby, glad you called....I'm working later, can you come over then?" "Sorry dear, I'm not working today." "Business is slow today, come on over.." "It's my job to please you!" "I'm working from a hotel in the east end tonight..." I want a fantasy, an escape, a dream, a PSE, a GFE, a vacation. I don't want to feel like a number or a client or know that you'd rather be golfing! The girls I repeat with NEVER call this their work. They never mention the guy that was there before me or after me. If they're late they never tell me it's because of their last appointment, they lie to me that they had a dentist appointment. They make me feel special and wanted and make me feel like I"m the only guy that matters. Like I said, I know this is the fantasy, but it's the fantasy I'm searching for and paying for. If your business is slower then ever, perhaps this is why?

Folks, Just had to share this experience with you good people on this site?..especially if you are having one of those days??..( i know a few who are.....) A little over a year ago, a good friend of mine became quite ill and was told he needed a kidney transplant?..and it was urgent that this be done??. Unfortunately, he had a difficult time finding a compatible donor, the search was onerous and fruitless?..and just when it seemed that his fate was sealed??a donor was found????. The other day, as I was ripping my hair out, annoyed that I didn?t get to fly the route I bid, annoyed that the damn lawn care guy didn?t weed my lawn properly, and that my son had ONCE again forgotten to take the garbage out?..the phone rang??.. It was my friend??he called to ask me, if I saw how absolutely wonderful the sun was this morning and how truly magnificent it looked as it rose into the sky??..a sight HE THOUGHT a few weeks ago HE MAY NEVER SEE AGAIN??..those comments stopped me dead in my tracks?? I am by no means a religious man, nor someone who is overly sensitive or very emotional??.but his words rang true in my ear??? Regardless of what MINOR stress I was dealing with that day, and God knows we all have stress?..it was NOTHING compared to what this guy went thru??yet he had the most positive outlook on life??.he was simply glad to be alive??.. So, while I am not discounting our daily stress and how difficult it may seem to us??look up in the sky, and all around you?? it sure is great to be alive ! Especially, with all the wonderful ladies we get to meet on CERB?? Enjoy your day??.
