Good afternoon all, Is not very often that I share a personal experience in here, at least not in a thread I guess that is in an effort to keep my secret identity  however something is really bothering me today and want to share it with you partly looking for advice and another part giving an example of how we can regret some of the choices we make and try to avoid them. I'm sure many of you have heard many times how going to extremes is not good. Well, I'm trying to fight that bad habit. In my case, for a long time I have been struggling with being too forgiving. I know being resentful is not good but I have had people do some very bad things to me and I forgive pretty easily even without being asked. So lately I have been working in finding the balance between being forgiving but with dignity. Well, it turns out I had a disagreement with my mother because of some personal stuff that for a while has been in the middle of our relationship. Anyway, yesterday that came up and after hanging up all upset I wrote her an email explaining how I felt and asked her to respond it before calling me, this in order for her to realize she did wrong and hurt me instead of as usual pretending nothing happened. I did not receive the email but did get a phone call last night which I chose not to answer since i was in a bad mood and did not want to get into another argument, BAD CHOICE! This morning I got some bad news, my grandma is very sick in the hospital which means my mom was calling me to tell me that and I'm pretty sure to tell me how she felt. Needless to say I feel horrible now as I have not been able to reach her. I guess the moral here and what I would like to suggest to all who may eventually be in a similar situation .. 'pick up the phone as we never know what is really going on and may regret not having done it' Now the question for you is how can I find that in-between not being resentful but at the same time getting respect from others? There's also another side of this story I want to share with you but I already made this thread too long so I will leave that for another time. Thank you to all the ones who actually read it all. xoxo

I think a lot of the stigma about clients comes from stigma about sex workers. "Sex workers are nasty, low-life people, so obviously the men who would want to have sex and give them money must be nasty, low-life people too." When people ask me what "type" of men come to see me (stripping and massage), I always reply "heterosexual men" although there have been 2 exceptions even to that.

I have not had time to read all the threads but I have a good idea of what is going on. I just need to say a few things.. 1) NOT ALL OUR MEMBERS ARE FLUENT IN ENGLISH. I am saying this as some of the members misunderstand things and don't really have a grasp on slang 2) LOTS OF NEW MEMBERS. Many of us have been using these boards for 10+ years and easily forget that a learning curve exists with new members (Especially those who are not computer savvy) Forum etiquette is not something everyone knows so please instead of FLAMING someone for hijacking a thread take the time to explain to them what they did wrong. I have found the 9 our of 10 times the thread hijacker has NO IDEA what they did wrong. 3) UPHOLD THE FRIENDLY COMMUNITY. Have some compassion, Patience and good will goes a long way Finally... some of our members over the years have been a little eccentric, some are very grounded and some are very "normal" (and I am struggling for a better word than normal or average as that could be offensive). What I am getting at is... when you mix all these people together you are going to see clashes in personalities. Your going to see people with mental instabilities, your going to see people with language barriers, alpha's, passive people, clicky groups of people, etc... but we all have a common bond and that is what everyone needs to focus on. Be nice to each other, accept the differences and instead of flaming someone for doing something wrong.. help them if you can, teach them what they are doing wrong... help them understand. For some people they just don't learn these things easily... and attacking them is not going to help matters in ANY WAY. Either ignore them or when they do something wrong click the REPORT THIS icon and ask me to speak to them. If what they are doing is disruptive I will speak with them. Eventually I will ask them to stop posting in the discussions area's and to just read the site as they are usually unknowingly disrupting the site. If you flame them, call them out, complain about them in public, yell at them, etc... your not helping and your not being very nice. That is not what this community we have is about right?

Here is my 2 cents on this discussion. I am, or have been a member on pretty much every other board in Canada. This is the only one where there is regular interaction between SP's and hobbiest. The vast majority of other boards are too busy bad mouthing SP's and agencies for no reason than to cause problems. Here, it is a fun enviroment where I think both the ladies and gentlemen seem to feel comfortable enough to chat with each other, discuss common interests and have a good laugh once in a while. The other boards take themselves too seriously, complain too much and get in to huge arguments over nothing. CERB is by far the best enviroment in this hobby of ours, and to the person who started this thread I would suggest leaving this board and continuing with the rest of the morons on the other boards!

Ok, so the rules for this one are thus: 1. The musician you pick must begin with the last letter of the band/artist named in the post above. ie. Alice Russell...>Le Tigre 2. You may only post one song per entry. 3. Include a youtube link if possible! I'll start it off with one of my favourite PJ Harvey songs (this means the next poster must name a band/artist that begins with the letter 'Y'). PJ Harvey--My Beautiful Leah

I would have to agree that this statement is absolutely true! Not that there is anything wrong with your outer beauty, but your personality simply outshines everything else.

In my humble opinion, it is never too late to show / demonstrate dignity. Focus on your Grandmother, let the other slide, show how your priority is your Grandmother, not the other "stuff". advice from an old guy

Having had this happen recently turning my 1 post ad into a 5 page debate as to whether my new policies for new clients were right or wrong...I completely agree. If someone wants to contribute positively to a lady's ad posting, thats fine, and yes, gets it the welcomed attention it deserves...however negative debates in a lady's ad do not do anything in her favor, even if it is bumped to the top of the page.
