There have beena few threads lately about words; the controversey over lyrics in a Dire Straits song and a recent conversation about the "C" word. But there's one other word I would like to see erased from our modern vocabulary. The word Whore. It's an ugly word that describes only the most base and vile of people and has no place in the same sentence as the ladies, on CERB or anywhere else. We can't eliminate it from use by the masses, ignorant and uneducated about the quality of the women found in communities like this one, but we can express disapproval when someone uses it, no differently then if they had used the "C" or "N" words. And unless they're using it to describe someone in politics or shoveling nonsense for sensationalist media (looking at you US and Fox), people should realize how dirty the word is. Most of the ladies here on CERB are smart and charming and have huge hearts. CERB raised plenty of money for Haitian relief after the devastating Earthquake last year while Rush Limbaugh, with his 400 million dollar deal, refused to donate a single dollar. Some of the ladies assist charities all year long, have gone out of their way to help people in tough situations and the list could go on all day. Suffice to say, it's one word I'd like to see disappear forever.

I disagree. The more you censor a word, the more powerful it becomes. You will never succeed at eliminating the word. We can only diffuse it. Why do you think black people, eg. rappers, call themselves niggers? Why do sex workers call themselves whores? To take the power away from the word. Perhaps my comment, may be a bit uncalled for, but here goes: In my opinion the ladies you should want to meet & spend time with are here on CERB....yes, the other list had plenty of updated ads but many were individuals who posted the SAME ad consistently and.or like 5 times a day!!! Those for sure you will have difficulty finding them as those postings did not cost them anything AND they were not moderated. The legit ladies, again IMO, are not afraid to be part of a MODERATED site....If they choose not to be, well to me that says ALOT..( I am not referring to the ladies on the DND/DNR list, that is something completely different, as a lady should have the choice to ensure that details about her & her services are not discussed, however, most of these ladies on the DND/DNR list are established & on other escort advertisment sites ,which they pay$ for) Sure there may be a few good ones out there, whom only advertise once in a while, who do it only on occasion...but as someone who advertised plenty on the the list....I openly admit I would read the other ladies ads & had a very good idea of who's who on there...and from what I see now, most (NOT ALL) but most of the ladies ad's who you do not seem to see around right now are the ladies who have been on the cowboys list for some reason or another OR who do not want to take part on a moderated site. There are a bunch of ladies who were never part of this site before, and have joined since the closing of the list, AND they have been obtaining some really nice recs too...there are many, many great ladies to choose from on here, why take the risk ( especially if you have never met them) Vanessa
