Bringing this thread back up because today I had the unpleasant experience of being contacted on facebook by someone from here. Someone I've never even MET. The audacity of such an action seriously floors me. Cleo Catra and the personal me are two separate entities. Sorry guys if that comes as a shocker! I do not want gentlemen on here to know my full real name (although many, that I've met and TRUST, know my first). That is very, very personal, private information. If you recognize someone in the 'suggestions' section on facebook from here, leave them alone. Or, if it's someone you've met, possibly mention it to them when you speak. But getting a facebook message from someone saying 'I know you from cerb', actually felt like such an invasion of my privacy I almost burst into angry tears. I responded to this 'gentleman's' message and let him know why what he'd done was wrong. However, unfortunately, I think needs to be brought to people's attention again because I don't want this to happen again, to me or to anyone else on here. Most people here who read my posts I hope know that I'm not one to come on here and rant about things that go wrong in this business, however in this case I need to make my opinion on this issue known. I would never, ever, jump into a hobbiest's personal life like that, and I expect the same back. Just be respectful everyone, and you'll get the same back :)

Unfortunatly Sophia we all get there type of emails, gentlemen asking questions, looking for pics etc , really there are many people that have no intention of booking an appointment at all. Every inquirey I receive I take the time to properly answer all questions and in a timely manner. Many times I never hear another word back. Until the proper screeing is done and I feel there is a solid appointment I would never wait around for someone to get back to me from just an PM or two. Its just a waste of time in many cases as you have seen and pointed out.

I am surprised a guy would consider it offensive to a lady to ask her to provide a reference. My opinion, any SP expecting a one way monogomous relationship from a hobbiest has some issues...frankly I'd be scared if that was expected of me. This is supposed to be about variety, fun, maybe experimenting and trying new things. And with the question of references, something to keep in mind for everyone. The ladies can get reviews and recommendations, and the guys, if they pass muster, can get a reference for future encounters. Guess the point I'm trying awkwardly to make is we are not all have anonymous encounters, our character and reputations mean something, and this is a community Some probably convoluted ramblings RG

I can't believe this is happening in this land. The animal guy raped a woman on the side of a road and admitted telling the woman "it would only hurt for a little while." and then the idiot judge says that it was the mistaken belief by the guy that "sex was in the air" and a "heightened expectation" that sex would occur. Why, as the judge said " the victim was dressed in tube tops and high heels when they met the guy outside a bar "and made it publicly known that they wanted to party!!!!." What the hell is this? Women around the world are looking up to Canada as a model when they demand for their well-deserved rights and now this ..... http://www.torontosun.com/news/canada/2011/02/26/17418376.html Women can dress the way that they choose and no one or no damn judge or no damn govenment has the right to tell them how to dress and it is no damn indication of invitation to rape. Women can choose how to dress whom to socialize (and whom not to), where to go, what to eat and drink and whom to sleep with (or whom not to). This is ridiculous and appalling and I go further and say the remarks from someone in a judgement position is disgusting in this free land. NO MEANS NO. Anyone who do not hear that IS A RAPIST and belong to jail.

We all know it's not just the guys who view the photos on here and check out the ladies. We do it too! My secret crush is Busty Vanessa. Although I'm a thin woman myself and that works for me, I find curvaceous and busty women incredibly sexy! I find myself also crushing on Annessa2009, mostly for her personality. I've always loved assertive, strong, independent, misbehaving women. I guess you could say I have a thing for bad girls :) Ladies, who is your secret crush?

so this month alone I have delt with Three different cases of SPs who choose to add their clients to their facebook....thats all fine if they decide to do so. my problem however? when I'm at a social and a male member makes a comment about MY facebook page because he has put 2 and 2 together with whoever was dumb enough to add him to her FB page. or a client blurts out that we have a similar last name and he did a google search after finding out my name to check out my artwork....ummmm...??????! Ladies...I know they you may feel comfortable with a client and on a friend basis with them but realize that when you add your clients to your page you are not only jeopardizing YOUR privacy...but the privacy of other SPs that you have on your facebook. I have NO wish to have clients rummage through my art pages or see what friends they have in common with me etc etc...and I certainly have a MASSIVE problem with people learning my full real name! whats annoying is that clients dont seem to realize that it is a HUGE blurring of boundaries when they "figure" out who we are and say so. to me, its like someone just drove up to my house, honked and said "hey you! [insert real name] i know where you live and hang out and I think I know your dad!" Ladies, you dont have to add EVERYONE to your facebook. I realize that clients can be friends...but blurring those lines makes drama for everyone involved...I have never encountered anyone adding a client to facebook that didnt end in some kind of messy drama...especially if she realizes she doesnt want them on her facebook anymore GUYS, just because someone doesn't add you to your facebook doesn't mean that they're not your friend...take whatever connection you have here on Cerb and in physical contact and treasure that....it doesnt need to go further than that. Today I have deleted 2 girls off my facebook who have chosen to add clients as friends. I admit that I have ONE client on my facebook but only because he was my friend on facebook through mutual friends before becoming a client....and I dont even see him anymore so I dont think that counts. To me adding anyone to facebook is like seeing someone off the clock 24/7...its extremely unprofessional and comparable to adding your boss to your FB...business and personal life should be separate. am I the only one who thinks like this? Privacy is important to everyone....blur the lines and things will only get more complicated.

Visited there for a pit stop after the Fax. Taboo was quiet, with at least as many dancers as there were clients. The only dancer of interest i knew was Rose. There was an interesting, good looking blonde i never met, but did not get a chance to meet her. No Jenna in sight (it was late and quiet though) Stayed for a drink only and left.

I just finished re-reading the excellent thread by JuliasUndies, "Let's talk about respect."... http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=45633 ...and it made me think about something. This is a damned fine web site. I'll say it again. This is a damned fine web site. It's full of interesting people, men and women. It's a great meeting place rife with members who exhibit class, intelligence, grace, kindness, empathy, creativity. I imagine that it takes an incredible amount of time and effort to run this whole thing and I just wanted to thank everyone who is involved in the operations of it all. I don't know if it's one person or a team but here it is... Thank you. I appreciate what you've done here in the past and what you're doing here presently. Doc.

References are great. I as well don't require them. However as you said Megan, it does help put me at ease when meeting someone for the first time. I don't think anyone should be offended, if anything us girls have to stick together and look out for each others saftey :)

Good thread Megan! I always provide a reference when asked, and rather than be offended that a gentleman is seeing another lady i'm more flattered that my opinion is requested. Posted via Mobile Device

I stumbled across a video today of a guy in the US who apparantly is quite popular. When looking through his videos on youtube you can see he's been on the news multiple times as well as The Maury Show, the comments and number of views on his videos shows that he has a following. http://www.youtube.com/user/videovigilanteokc#p/u http://johntv.com/ Has anyone heard of this guy?

You state 'pointless hate and discrimination against consenting adults" I gather you feel it is alright for street walkers in that city to have sex in open public areas?

Too many people spend too much time and energy worrying about the next life and not enough time living the life they have which is the only sure thing.

As one who was a newbie back in July (my first time) just a perspective from the other side. If you have never seen a SP, it is a combination of exciting and scary scheduling your very first encounter. It took me awhile to muster up the courage (if that's the right word) to email the SP. And booking the date, well once I called her to confirm room number, all I thought afterwards...OMG what have I done...too late to turn back now. Some questions a newbie asks have patience for, there is no course in proper etiquette (at least in the schools I went to) for asking a SP for a date Other questions, that are of a vulger crude nature, well don't answer them, no course in etiquette will fix that, and that person is showing his true character and you don't want to meet him anyhow. If you ladies knew me back in July, well I was the fumbling foot in his mouth newbie, not the suave debonair gentleman you see today (I can't believe I just said that)LOL Some thoughts RG

since you did ask for our input I4fun, so here is mine (from a 10 year long strip bar veteran).... They are two aspects of this to look at. So far most of us looked at one. The missing side is that the lady in the SC is there to make money because she needs money to live on. That is to pay for her rent and food and most of them are single mothers too which means they need the money to buy milk or food for their baby. This was the aspect that I think was missing and I thought I should mention it briefly. On second aspect - yes I very much understand OP's situation that he may like to be there just for the beer and the stage dance and like to be picky to spend his hard-earned money on the ones that he likes most. So, there should be a balanced approach to this and in my view (my 2 cents) there may be a solution. To the OP: 1 - If you wish to watch only and have a beer, then it may be wise to sit next to the stage. This shows to the ladies that you may not be interested in CR and it would be less likely that they approach you for private dance. Then if you wish to see someone specific, walk to her and ask that specific lady. 2 - As I mentioned earlier the ladies are there to make money and pay for essentials. It has happened to me many times that I have been approached by those that I really didn't have preference. Usually I take them to one CR dance (and I let them know beforehand that it will be one dance only). The $20 doesn't affect me that much but may make a difference to the lady. It is not pity by no means at all. I like all females but like some more. So when I take a lady who approaches me to CR and have preference for others, I still will enjoy and have good time but will reserve my 3 to 5 songs for those who I enjoy the most.

Wow! After reading all these stories I feel lucky to have what I did back then and what I have now. Some people aren't so fortunate. Even though I did have a humbling experience and survived not fully knowing the ways of the world, I knew I was never fully alone and could count on help if I needed it. Coming from a large family of many sisters, I was independent from an early age so it made the transition easier. Of course things were tight at times but we never went cold or hungry. I guess we were considered middle class yet we weren't trying keeping up with the Jones' or anything like that. Many people have a different opinion of what "poor" really is and I thought I knew looking back at my own experience but after reading these posts, I certainly have a much clearer idea of what people go through and how they struggle. Thanks for sharing.

I had a body slide for my third ever massage adventure here in Ottawa last Dec. At the time I hadn't understood that a door fee didn't really provide pay to the MP nor provide any extras..... I asked, made a trip to the bank, and was treated to a lovely session! lol
