This is a hard one... I mean, we have all sorts of ''How to'' on this site, but none concerning going back to a normal life after escorting for a while. I went back home on retreat. I mean, after a while in Ottawa, I felt I have done it all, so I decided to go back home. I have found a 8 to 5 office job as a direction's assistant, am always in bed at 8:30, wake up at 5, taking care of my family, but I feel like I'm missing something... Unfortunetly, it is something I cannot fill with whatever else in the world. Just to find myself in good company 2-3 times a day, chatting with so many different people, having the chance to spend so much time with different lovers... I posted a thread about lack of recos and see this discussion as somewhat of the other side of the coin, and possibly one reason why there is a lack of recos. In that thread I also suggested that a reco should be written only for an excellent encounter, not an average one. Unfortunately this is not always the case and the reason some do not always trust recos. Based on personal experiences I fall into the latter group. When you have restrictions on what can be posted there will be details omitted, no way around it. And often these details are important for a hobbyist to avoid things that would ruin an encounter for him, or for the provider. Or both. Common wisdom is that you need to realize what is NOT said in a reco as well as what IS said. Some newer members have yet to learn how to decipher the recos and may think it is easier to see different info. I think it is foolhardy to advise someone to only research one side of an issue, not only on this issue but most issues. I've never subscribed to the "too much info" theory, I always like to know as much as possible about many things I am involved in. Especially when it involves sex, money or both! Yes, there is lots of good info here and a smart hobbyist would be foolish to ignore it. But a smart hobbyist also learns how to use the info provided appropriately. And how to Google for what he can't find here :D

Personally I prefer outcalls to my hotel, and I've gotten pretty good at picking good hotels. What I have learned, avoid motels (back in my rookie days embarking upon this lifestyle, but at least I learned) Incalls to houses are good, I know of two ladies in Orleans who host at their homes, and it's good I hate incalls to condos though, the one encounter I had at a condo, had to remember a four digit code to get in, had to know the ladies real name in case the security at the front desk asked me who I was seeing, not to mention floor and apt number...a lot to remember when your weak in the knees in anticipation of the date LOL When going to an incall, be discrete. Carrying bouquet of flowers past the main desk at a hotel can draw attention to you. Also hovering around the lobby, checking your watch, and your phone, tends to attract attention. Arrive on time and go straight to the elevator just like you belong there. Make sure any gift is concealed. Just some quick ramblings RG

I have Nikon SLR with a big lens, but now I've started to carry a small digital compact when I travel. There, so many good ones out there today and the features keep getting so much better it's really hard to choose. In the fall I bought a Lumix DMC-ZS10 and it'll do HD video and has stereo audio, gps tagging, 16X zoom and 14 mega pixel, all for $300. This is probably more camera than you want, so I will make a few suggestions. Figure out what you want to spend, and you can probably get a fairly good one for $150. I would suggest figuring out what options you want, for example you don't really really need a big zoom most of the time and more than 8-10 mega pixels is overkill. Pick several good brands, e.g Nikon, Canon. Go to a Future Shop and you'll find probably a dozen choices, so talk to the sales guy about what you want. The last thing I would do is do is some online price comparisons, and you'll probably find a 25-30 different range at the local stores. Good luck.

Digital cameras all have a self timer and auto focus so all you need is one that can be mounted on a tripod (and of course a tripod) and this will do way better than your phone. However, taking pictures of ones self is not as easy to get good natural looking pictures as you might think it would be, so I would think the ultimate tripod (you don't have to pay for) is any willing client and I'm sure you would have more than a few volunteers. And along the same lines, perhaps you don't even need to invest in the expense of a good camera, perhaps just your own memory card for someone else's. In any event, anything that does 14 megapixels with 8 - 10 times optical zoom is good. I paid about $60 for my GE X55 which looks like an SLR and does a great job.

Good topic, What ive learnt over time is weather it is your home or a hotel the same things apply. A clean and tidy environment (no dirty clothes, clutter, dirty dishes or anything personal within sight of the guest) your guest wants to feel anonymous. Clean towels, sheets as well as any other work related item should always be on hand. No revolving door, neighbours and other guests as well as housekeeping notice more than you realize, and seriously how hard is it to space out your dates. No loud blaring music - something soft in the background...Inside voices and no work talk by the door Candles and other mood setters are always a welcome site on any date.... A beverage - even water is fine, but at least offer something to drink.... As long as your place is inviting and comfortable an potential guest should not have an issue.

I think the sp should do her incalls where she is comfortable,so long as it is safe and clean.Any hobbyists that are interested in seeing her will accept or decline,that is their choice,but for a client to request the sp change locations ,I think is a bit rude and inconvient.We all have our reasons for choosing our locations, and prepare them with care for those that are expected.I always have fresh bedding,towels,clean shower,soaps,lotions,music playing,candles lit,mood lighting,munchies,a warm or cold beverage,but most improtantly,me!

I'm not in a motel, I'm in a hotel, with board rooms/meeting rooms. dining room, etc. There happens to be two buildings to it, and my room happens to have two entrances, one from the lobby and one from the outside. There are comings and goings at all hours, due to meetings etc advertised, and there is also a lounge here, so it is way too easy to meet someone in the lounge area and go from there with no suspicions whatsoever, just that you are meeting in the public area. This is a regular hotel that I am located in, not a cheesy motel that rented by the hour. I do value the opinion though, as I am waiting for my house to be renovated, and hence the reason for the hotel. I just find it funny that I get bookings, then get calls later stating they want me to move to a 'more expensive' hotel. Can't see the logic behind it, I would just raise pricing to reflect the new hotel fees.

As much as I appreciate CK's input to the community, I disagree with his prediction. I'm under the impression that he never went there, as he seems to have a very incomplete vision of this place. I went there twice and had a blast! (in more ways than one) The sexshop was empty both times, so I wasn't afraid to meet my sister-in-law while exiting the peepshow. And they also rent rooms, guys. Not a tiny and dark peepshow cubicle with a glass window: a clean room with a couch, a giant screen TV playing a wide variety of porn movies, and a paper tissue dispenser. For 50 bucks, you can rent, for 30 min., a room much larger than any champagne room in any strip club. And if you happen to go there with a friend, it's up to you to either watch the porn together or do something else... (like playing chess for example, I'm sure that's what most people do, right?) No camera, no bouncer who comes to watch over your shoulder, no surprise visit from the waitress. And you can take your time, you have a full half hour. The staff seems friendly and open-minded. They know why you're there (chess, remember?).

IMHO, it comes down to business model. Are you paying for time or service. If time, then what does it matter to the SP what happens in that time (within reason of course). OTOH, if it is service, then it doesn't matter how long it takes (also within reason of course). I think many SPs say you are paying for time for legal reasons, but in realty you are paying for service.

I am located in a single home and find that IF there were any questions (never been an issue in the 2 1/2yrs I have been at this location) the explanation would be easy. Besides, people have visitors and I don't have a revolving door lol. Most of the neighbours on this street work. Those who stay home are not typically staring out of the window all day long. If anyone were to ask, the home owner is quite comfortable with telling them that I use her home office. Enough said.

I respectfully disagree. I think there's a big difference between, on the one hand, specifically discussing another website ... particularly when you reference it by name, or facsimile thereof, and, on the other hand, honestly talking about the pros and cons of different types of SP related websites. The OP asked about the latter, and most of the discussion (at least, IMO, the helpful discussion ... smile) has been around that point. That sort of discussion is, IMO, good for Cerb as it is good content that drives readers to the site, which is good for clicks, ad revenue, etc., etc.. From my perspective, I wish we had more of these discussions, not less, as these sorts of discussions are important to the overall success of Cerb. People will visit here if they think they are going to get helpful, truthful information ... If they think all they are going to get is "the company line," credibility will suffer as will website business.

Please don't forget that being an SP is a "real" a job as it gets. It's a completely honourable vocation. Current I do two completely different jobs, so I suppose one has to point out that you can to. Life has no greater gift to give than doing what makes you the happiest. It might be easier to transition to a different job if never really completely do. Rather than think of it as something you will miss or have to give up completely it can be something you simply have less time for but those things we really enjoy doing but don't have as much time for are better when we do have a little time for them. I've gone through switching vocations a couple of times and it was always easier when I didn't truly switch but made two part time jobs into one full time job (and always comforting to know that if one of my part time jobs didn't work out I can go back to the other full on). Of course I've never been an SP but I find both my jobs I now have more quality over quantity.

I am a happy guy who has lived a great life full of fun and good times. I honestly don't think I've suffered a day in my life. I wish other people the good fortune I've experienced. I try to spread good cheer and make life fun and interesting for those around me, except that there aren't that many people around me. I live alone and work alone. I mostly get my work by email. Sometimes I worry that I am becoming socially inept by lack of human contact. I go multiple days without actually saying anything to anybody and sometimes getting the part of my brain that communicates verbally going again takes a moment. But I do what I want. I travel a lot, make an effort to learn new things, take courses, excercise, go to the cinema at least weekly, go to lots of concerts, swim, and eat well. Life's a joy and I'm only getting started.

Hmmm perhaps I misread? Don't sweat the small stuff is the title of the thread? Now of course, toilet paper might not fit that criteria either? I mean it is hardly an insignifican issue? There must be other small stuff that we get perturbed about? Why for example one burning issue with me is when the snowplow takes out my mailbox down by the road. Now that should not irk me as it does. But a nice soft double or triple ply tissue to dry my tears makes it ever so much more bearable. :)

There are lots of different reasons why married people hobby. Everyone's story is different. For some, they may hobby because they are profoundly unhappy in their relationship. For many of us, however, that may not be the case. I've been married for nearly 25 years (to the same woman even) and i love her very much. We have kids, and a mutually satisfying relationship that is supportive and very close. However, that relationship no longer involves sex. That is o.k.for her, but not for me. I have no desire to leave her, but have discovered that hobbying provides a wonderful way to find physical intimacy with some wonderful women and preserve my marriage. she would be devastated if she found out, so I am very careful. I've often wondered why, given we are all participating in a hobby that many in society don't condone, that there often is a bit of a judgmental tone expressed by single hobbyists towards those that are married. While CERB is a very positive enviroment for Providers and Hobbyists it can lack detail. I do enjoy my visits to this site and am happy that we have such an place to congregate and discuss such a wide variety of topics, but it must be sugar coated to appease all. My 6 cents, worth.

CERB is absolutely tremendous help with "finding the right service", which is the most important thing. There are plenty of recommendations here with quite a bit of detail, so you can really understand why someone is being recommended and whether those reasons match your own tastes. What you'll get with a warehouse of "negative comments" is a way to identify wrong services. Who needs that when CERB already helps you find the right ones? That we don't dwell on the bad stuff here doesn't make us "limited", just civil and positive. You can still get everything you need to know from CERB to help with your search. Unless you have a morbid fascination with the negative, that is. In which case... you know... I very sincerely wish you success in your search.

Nothing at all? It's hard to imagine a circumstance where this would be appropriate to me. But I'll try; perhaps if it was a regular client who previously expressed a desire (not a request for this particular visit -- I suppose that would take the fun out of it) to have this happen. Once I had to cancel at the very last minute (no choice, life does that to us sometimes) and I sent a delivery service with a sealed envelope. Guess the delivery guy (or gal) would be in for a shock :) Of course in this case I was able to contact the lady and give her the bad news and advise her to accept a delivery shortly. Interestingly, the response I got was "Yeah, sure, not likely, whatever, thanks for nothing you !$%!%!^$!$#!" But as impolite as this was, I was the one that had to cancel so I still sent the full amount (only fair) and on later reflection was glad life had intervened as she wasn't the girl for me (from her reaction, profanity and short fuse). Of course I got a profuse email apology after the package did arrive and many lucrative offers from her after that but if she has that short a fuse she wasn't for me so we never did meet.

Great idea!! am getting tired of looking at that post myself and I bet many others are. This happenend a long time ago, has been delt with and as Cristy has said she has proved heself to be a great SP. So why should new people see this to question her in this present time. Let the mistake go and forgotten. Time to move on and say good job Cristy, You did it girl!! As an after thought with the picture episode Cristy said she was sorry, provided accurate photos and went on to become a contributing member of this board. Some would have run away and hidden forever not to be seen again. I believe this shows futher that she is a sincere person and made a mistake in the early days. Why even a person that committs a serious crime had the opportuntiy to pay a price be it a fine, jail etc. Upon release they do not have to wear a sigh around their neck reminding all to see what they did in the past. So again for heavens sake lets forget this one and even move the post as someone else suggested.

For all the folks with cell phones. (This information should be kept in your car, purse, and wallet. Good information to have with you.) There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival.
