2 pointsSounds like a strange highlight, but I have a viral infection, which should take a few more weeks more to run it's course. Two days ago I thought I had pneumonia. Yeah, infection sucks, but pneumonia would be worse RG

2 pointsSoul-crushing, indeed! The statistics on job happiness speak for themselves. Most notably that a shocking 87% of people who only stayed in a job (often government) for the pension kick the bucket before they cash their first pension cheque. The only thing you should ever want is happiness. (And less materialism will allow you more freedom, but these days everyone mistakes happiness for a big tv or fast car.) It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round, and there's a niche for everyone. True happiness comes from fulfillment, and fulfillment has nothing to do with materialism and everything to do with living each day fully, with joy, and in harmony with your true nature. And be aware that who we are may not be who we wanted to be. (I've run into this with friends a few times.) Posted via Mobile Device

1 pointSummertime is now upon us, which means YAY for short skirts and tank tops! After one day of donning such attire in downtown Ottawa, I've already been reminded of my least favourite thing about summer: the cat-call. My experiences with cerb gentlemen have always been respectful and courteous, so this message is in no way intended to snip at any of you - however, this is just a gentle reminder to the people out there I may not have met, so who may not be as gentlemenly. NO LADY likes to be yelled at when walking down the street. Honking, whistling, 'ya-hooing', etc. Not acceptable. There are ways to show your appreciation of a nice-looking woman without acting like a pig. The best one: a SMILE. A smile goes a long way, and usually results in a return smile. A leer however can sometimes result in my middle finger being flashed at your face. For myself especially, as a heavily tattooed woman, I expect the looks. Today already I had the purrfect examples of polite, and downright rude. As I sat down in the hair salon waiting room, the older lady next to me smiled, looked at me, and said 'HOLY COW! that's a lot of ink!' then proceeded to talk to me about them. Totally fine. Made me smile. Unaccepable - the woman sitting on a bus bench who dropped her mouth at me, sneered, then turned to gawk at me with a look of disgust as I passed (see, my intended lesson in this message isn't for men only, women can do this too!). That made me angry. All I'm really trying to say is this: pretty girls know they're pretty, and want to wear pretty things. Please don't make us feel like garbage about it - because then we'll cover up!

1 pointInteresting thread! A couple years back, I went in with a few other ladies on an experiment to get more bang for our buck out of some classified advertising. Having limited line space to work with, there was some debate as to what wording we should use. All I asked is that we not use "upscale" -- no way could I pull that one off!!! ;) I long ago stopped thinking in terms of advertising and think only in terms of connecting with those who are right for me. So my ads tend to be more about them than about me. If anything, I try to downplay anything that might generate a broader appeal because I understand that my demographic is very specific. Trying to sell to everyone would just waste everyone's time and would waste my time as well. Many of us don't need a lot of new business, as we base our bread and butter on repeat business. And that's why so many SPs keep their advertising understated and low-key. However, I'm not at all prepared to state that anyone who "oversells" is a poor SP. She may be still figuring out advertising, or she may be getting some atrocious advice from someone who self-identifies as a "marketing expert." I'm not at all convinced that there's a correlation between the quality of an SPs advertising and her quality of service. Poor advertising strategies are more likely to result in more work for the SP as a consequence than anything else.

1 pointCash is king, and is all I'll use for my encounters. I only used email money transfer once just recently when I had to cancel on a touring lady due to illness. But she received the donation in full. And email money transfer was the only way for me to pay her. Irrespective that it wasn't my fault that I became ill, the lady shouldn't lose out on her donation, it's also not her fault that she lost out on an encounter, just life happens. RG

1 pointAs an agnostic, I don't know whether there is a god. But if there is, she must have one hell of a sense of humour to put so many pleasure receptors in our a""holes!

1 pointCarley is looking good these days, and I had an excellent time with her once again. Not sure if it is because she hasn't been around for awhile, or her self confessed spring fever, or just her natural hornyness, but once again Carley has topped all my expectations. The only problem I have with Carley, is that she ALWAYS leaves me wanting more, (I guess that is not a bad problem to have...) Go see her guys, but don't say I didn't warn you!! NB

1 pointI hear you, Gabriella. The funniest ones I get are (considering my handle is Angela of Ottawa): Are you in Ottawa? At least "Hey there" is politer than the texts or emails that start with "Yo, escort lady" or "Waddup" or "Wassup" which don't get answered.

1 pointHaha lol I have to laugh because sometimes I think reading is just like a long lost piece of ancient mystical art for some... My ad will say I am visiting from xday to xday, will ask to be contacted via email only and will say to visit my website for more information about me and/or my donation. What do you think happens? "Hey there, I just saw your ad saying you will be visiting from the 15th-17th. Can I see you on the 19th? What about your rates? Do you offer half hours? How tall are you? Please get back to me." How ironic when it is also sent via PM lol Additional Comments: What is it with the "Hey there"? Is that an English thing or a common saying instead of using someone's name?

1 pointThis topic always bothers me as photos are a personal choice. This is my second time in this business and what I have learned is like any other successful business a person may run, the old saying "you have to spend money, to make money" is very true. Yes all my photos are professional, yes they are all shot to make me look my best, and yes they are 100% me. They were worth every penny I spent and I will only use photos that are shot by a professional. The whole object of professional or glamour shots is to find a photographer that will keep you - you. (hence the reason I have flown on 2 occasional across the country for photos) I look natural and real in my photos, and I feel better than any cell phone photo would. I want potential clients to see that I invest in myself (website, photos, blog, well maintained (ie: hair, nails, etc) I treat being Emily as if it were any other job that I may have, as in I give 110%. Why should I expect a client to invest in my if I have not invested in myself? The only comment I keep getting about my photos is that I look better in person(this is from men and women), so on that note i will always and only have professional photos done. (look at Victoria Jolie, Emma Alexandra, Keissy Hennessey, Gabriella Laurence, Charlotte Sinclair, Amelia Middleton and Dorinda Bloom) Those are several examples of real tasteful professional photos and all the above women look as good in person as in their photos) At the end of the day professional photos have a bad rep, one that I hope ladies like myself and others who invest in professional photos will help change.

1 pointIMHO, it comes down to business model. Are you paying for time or service. If time, then what does it matter to the SP what happens in that time (within reason of course). OTOH, if it is service, then it doesn't matter how long it takes (also within reason of course). I think many SPs say you are paying for time for legal reasons, but in realty you are paying for service.

1 pointFor me, when I open the door, I love to see a gentleman who is punctual, well groomed and friendly. I don't care what he's wearing. I'm a sucker for a good personality.
