There has been some discussion about SP vs MA in the past... There is no such a compaeison between SP and MA services as they are both different... there is not one better than the other.. they are simply different and both are worth what they both offer... rates can range between 120 to 180 depending on the lenght of the appointment (thats an average being indy or working for a spa) My suggestion to find out whether MA services are or not for you... is to take the plunge... like many others that were non MA believers did... and you may be surprised ;-) ;-) .... you can ask some that did ;-)

I find attachments can naturally form, given the intimate nature of encounters. As fortunateone said, that doesn't necessarily mean crossing professional or personal boundaries. This industry doesn't have any sort of hard regulations, all we can do is know what works for us and work within the boundaries we feel comfortable with. I appreciate emails keeping in touch, but at the same time I do find it difficult to continue seeing someone when they are continually pushing that boundary (for example, asking me my real name repeatedly, when I have already said no. I don't find it cute, it's not playful, and it makes the session very difficult as I find I am more on guard). But yes, there are some mutual attachments that form within this industry, and I think that as long as both individuals are on the same page regarding their expectations, that is not necessarily a bad thing.

I must agree and thank you for taking the time to speak up. This question is not off to the best start. There is no "versus" between an SP or MA. They are both completely different experiences. There's being tactful and asking questions, but I get the impression as well the question was asked for members to explain why they do visit MA's, and for MA's to justify our services and rates? I think that's up to the OP to do his research, read the recommendations, and not challenge the activity and great feedback in the massage area. If I am approached in this manner by an inquiry, I will most likely not be booking with them.

I can be attached, without crossing professional boundaries, or at least privacy boundaries. I don't think the two things are incompatible. I worry about the ones who think they have to cross their privacy boundary or who do provide too much personal information about themselves. It is easy to connect with people without forgetting that real names, birthplace, and family names/pics, and hanging out and going places, having lunches, dinners, etc etc, these things are not necessary in order to keep good clients. I worry that some sps feel that doing these things become 'normal' for the client, to the point that they find fault with the sps who do maintain their distance. Maintaining the distance is the norm, anything more than that was either a gift or folly on the part of the sp. I say 'folly' because more than once, sps have regretted how much some clients know or found about about them. Some sps allow clients to remain clients out of fear of retaliation, when they would prefer to have fired them. This is the folly of providing too much. I don't mind if someone knows I like action movies and lattes, but there is no reason for anyone to know my real name or other personal details about myself in order for us to have a mutually beneficial and rewarding relationship.

One other factor you have to look at here in addition to the smaller population, less disposable income and still a number of traveling ladies is that the more people who get into this line of work are drawing from the same pool as they are now. For those who seek variety it's great....for awhile. However, if someone is in this to sustain themselves it may become a case of not enough disposable income to go around and they move on to bigger and better. If it's all college students (as were mentioned), great however if it's not and all you have is a constant stream of new faces and new skills, then many of the pleasures that others in the hobby enjoy would be gone. It's a balancing act for sure and quite honestly there ARE a LOT of people involved in this industry, they're just not on CERB which means that you have to take your chances and hope for the best. If you do meet someone good, encourage them to CERB so we can grow the NS section and make it the place people want to be. Variety is there to be had it just comes at a price. Some have paid it and won, some have not been so lucky. As for traveling ladies...as has been said, many have visited and have had dates canceled, postponed or been messed with in some way. One established lady was treated so badly on a recent trip she was contemplating not coming back. No one likes deposits, many don't like to book ahead but it is those things that will get more traveling ladies here. You can't control what anyone else does, but you can control what you do. How bad to do want it and what will you do to get it? This is a two way street. Would you want to be left holding the bill after someone screwed you over? Neither would she. There is also a steady stream of ladies from away agencies so it seems there is generally quite a bit of variety coming and going from the province. Okay, random ramblings on a rather trying day.

Think on your motive first, as Passion Vito stated, if your doing it for the money, you may want to think again! A well run agency will make less then the ladies who are working. There are many expenses involved to operating a business like this. You really do need a business mind, as in any business out there. I began my agency for the love of the industry and with 17 years experience of working as a provider. I stumbled into opening my business as many younger SP's were always contacting me when they had problems with the agency they worked for or with clients, or just did not feel comfortable working on their own. Eventually I decided there was a need for someone like me to open a business. There are many unfavored, poorly run businesses here in NB, drugs, violence, switch and baits etc... and so for a new lady to have to be exposed to that, I decided to provide a safe and clean operation. KNOW THE LAW, there is a lot to learn. You may decide to have a lawyer on a yearly retainer. Got to have thick skin, remember in this industry, many times ladies will come to you having many problems. You need to know yourself well, and how to place boundaries. Often times when a lady leaves an agency, that is when your biggest issues will arise. Anger, jealousy, sabotage and theft are often present. I am assuming your a man, by your handle here, know that if you are the one answering the phone, this is not accepted easily by other men who are booking. You will be branded with the awful name "pimp" by those who don't like your agency or don't like to hearing a man is operating it. Even if not true. Think on it, it is a very very BIG responsibility to ensure their safety, your safety as well.

I will add to what has been already said... in the agebcy starting up tios... 1. Be honest. . Dont use fake pics... 2. Treat the ladies with respect. .. be ready to protect them and dont put them on dangerous situations 3. Be patient. .. people think that all agency or spa owners/managers are filty rich...many times ladies make more than the owner 3. Have lots of time on your hands... becauae this business run long hours... sometimes 24 hours 7 days a week

You cannot get "full service" at a massage parlor, that would be illegal. Secondly, the cost for an hour massage would be between 50-80 dollars, if you can find full service with an escort for that much I would suggest you run, not walk away.

I'm in a smaller market than Halifax and I can honestly say that my meagre means can't possibly keep up with the variety that we see here in St. John's as of late. Given our population differences, I actually think Halifax is lucky to be as blessed with as many wonderful ladies as it is. Ottawa has over twice our population so you'd expect their to be more ladies there. And while I'm sure population is the main factor, I find this chart interesting too, which states Ottawa (at least in 2010) had the highest medium household income for a Canadian city. You'd have to think that being a city with a bit more disposable income helps! The Maritimes are also a more expensive place to travel to compared to a lot of cities. If you're in Ontario or Western Canada there are many places a lady could visit for less money than the cost of a flight out east. Geography just isn't on our side there. If there is someone you'd be interested in seeing travel our way, I think sharing your interest and wish with them is the best you can do. As Meaghan says though, offering a deposit is probably a good step, as it would be a great way to show your seriousness, as you can bet ladies typically receive many more invites and expressions of interest than they do actual bookings!

The Sixth Sense. Wow. I saw it in theatres when it was released in what - 1999 I think? And haven't watched it again until now. I answer each and every PM as quickly as possible and if between 8am and 8pm it's usually within 30mins. When I get a PM asking if I am available at, let's say, 10:30am tomorrow morning and I reply within 10 minutes saying, not until 11:30; common decency indicates that you let me know that it's not convenient...even if it takes you 12hrs to reply, a reply is warranted!!!!!!!!!!!
