Rigaud has been closed for 4-5 years. It was along HWY 40 after it changed from the 417.

The step-stools were in the days of the $5 dance. When VIP rooms came in the dances were $10 & they were not from 3 feet away! :boobeyes: The $20 'contact' dance started in the mid 90's on the Quebec side and some years later the Ottawa clubs followed. The price doubled to $20 but the mileage increased to 'petting zoo' level. Unfortunately, this basically forced a lot of nice hot dancers to leave the business. I've been to the clubs in both decades & business has dropped off quite noticeably.

The VIP music is different from the stage music upstairs. It's all pre-programed so they can control the number of songs in an hour...20+. :shock:

What I find ironic about this is that about a month or so ago, there was a sweep in the Merivale\Kirkwood\Caldwell area. I didn't see anything in the news about it and I found out about it in an e-news letter from my city councillor .....Maria McRae! The e-news letter mentioned the names of the two women charged & said the men qualified for John School. Maybe someone complained to Maria as to why the women were named but not the men.
