I'm sorry but you would be very mistaken to take the LE statements as facts regarding migrant sex workers. They are not tricked or forced to come into this country, even in the statements made in the article LE is admitting that these people who were arrested were assisting the sps to enter the country. Before and after C36 in Canada there is no legal way for a migrant sex worker to work in this business. They need false documents, and because of lower income in Asia, they need someone to fund their travel arrangements as well. Once here they pretty much work as they would work in Asia, which we consider exploitive because it involves long hours (they are here for 3 to 6 months sometimes, their focus is money making, working long hours, seeing many clients in a day) It is still a choice and decision they made, even if we would not choose that. however, any traveling sp knows, she is booking as many appts on her travel dates, more than she would at home. On the one hand, RCMP is calling them victims, and in the same sentence (in the first article i read on this topic), they are saying that these socalled victims asked the smugglers for assistance. Because that is what they are doing, smuggling, not trafficking. Trafficking implies force, and they are not forced, they don't have to be, they make more in an hour here than they do in an overnight in China, for example. This is what i mean when i tell people that LE is focused on agencies, or the asian ads, because it is an easy way to lay charges. Much harder to lay anything on a single client of a single indy sp working in a private location, but this, dead easy, and very little surveillance or expense. you don't even have to prove much beyond working withoiut a visa to deport hundreds of people in a 3 day period.

If you use a free escort website template, it will be set up with at least 6 different pages for you to fill with text. It will be your option to keep the tab page or disable it, so that kind of answers your question about what to include or not. In order to take advantage of an ad site promotion, i used the one they required to do a site. I simply copied the same info from my ads cutting and pasting onto the pages that applied. My ads reflect what I can offer, not what someone else can. people will obviously be disappointed by someone who does not pay attention to what they are saying about themselves.

There are a lot of guys who search using the word 'special' in my opinion. I have used the word in another context and they literally ask me what my specials are that day lol. Deal seekers and sale buyers are rarely good long time regulars. They will never start paying your regular rate. So why provide a discount rate that you had 'on sale' that one time. I get that he probably just got paid, and didn't have the $$ at that time of the ad, and saved the ad and the number, that's all great. But the real question isn't any of the above, it is do you want a client who will never rebook unless you provide him the discount every time. Do you want that guy who once got that discount, next time calls and asks will you take $x, an amount lower than the former discounted rate. (answer, no you may not have a discount on an already discounted rate, wtf dude)

Yeah, that 20 is not a 'tip', it is a sign you need to be more in control of your clients & sessions, to the point of actually telling them 'all good things must come to an end' at the half hour mark. Don't worry about being called a clockwatcher or getting a complaint, this is a guy who knew exactly what he was doing, and pushed to see what he could get away with. I had a friend who actually would stop and collect the extra $$ for extra time when a client seemed to need more or was at that point of going over, because she knew that there was a good chance he would not either have it, or pretend he didn't or 'forget' that he owed more for going over time. regarding a real tip, then repeat biz, being on time, not double booking, not going overtime unpaid, these things help get repeat biz. if you allow one to make you go overtime, and you are not being compensated for it, you get a sour feeling which can affect other client experiences with you. If you allow someone to make you go overtime when you have already set up another appt for a certain time, and this overtime guy didn't compensate you, you may also miss that 2nd appt and the 2nd guy thinks you are flakey. You get a poor reputation in his eyes as well, he doesn't repeat because he couldn't rely on you to be on time for prearranged appts. Those loser guys who make you go overtime then don't compensate do a lot of damage, being called a clockwatcher for allowing a guy to only stay the time paid for is just something to ignore. If someone asks when first contacting you and they use that term, just decline the appt. Anyone who mentions it or asks about it, to me, is a clockwatcher, who watches the clock in order to try to stay longer than the paid amount of time. All new sps get the predators. It would be better to not use any words in any of your ads that indicate you are new to the biz or young, because that is when they come out of the woodwork lol

i don't know if this is covered already, but my #3 is that there are FAR TOO MANY GREAT, GOOD AND OK clients, there is no way I'm writing up a blurb on all of them, let alone the discretionary reasons for not doing that, like EVER. Another site is very big on the referral system (avoiding LE bylaw stings being the #1 reason). So clients post their review, and the sp replies in the review. That is the extent of her 'reco' so to speak lol The reason for the reply is to confirm that this is a legitimate client, not LE looking to give out tickets for not having the city escort license, for example. also, by implication that this is a guy who makes the appt, and shows up, and by replying she can confirm (or refute) the info in the review, meaning that other sps can either avoid him (due to what or how he wrote his review) or see him, as they wish. Of course this means initial contact with sps will be via pm to book by the same handle that the review was written with. in most cities, in most situations, it is unnecessary to do this. If an sp wants to screen a client more thoroughly, she will ask him to provide references, contact the sps to let them know she will be asking about him, and wait for them to reply. All behind the scenes, all discreet, all private, and no other clients viewing the comments. Not even the client himself. Here sps are not permitted to reply in their own recos, so having that as a public 'referral' method isn't going to happen.

I was going to say something like this, For example, we see a picture that is obviously photo shopped. But there is no reason why we also must assume that the photo is not longer representative of the sp herself. That was the point i was trying to make. There is a style of photographs that are meant to attract a specific type of clientele, this is what i was referring to when i said professional photos tell a type of client that the sp is heavily invested in her reputation and her business, and for that type of clientele, it signals that she is the exact sort of escort he wants to see. This is not a client who is impresses by selfies, he is impressed by what professional photos & marketing tell him more about the escort. There are escorts who know who this clientele is, and you can see from their pro photos that this is their main target market. Some agencies are aware of this as well, so they have a tendency to use that same style of photography on all their escorts pages. it isn't misleading, it is doing exactly what it intends to do. i haven't met the sps who use this type of photography, so it isn't my place to decide that they are using photo shop to mislead. If i met face to face all of the escorts who have chosen this type of photography (as in that type of client) then maybe I could claim that i know it is all misleading to use retouching. This is a different market, it is not one that i make claims to try to access. However, I can recognize that the style works, and it is meant to draw in that kind of client. Also that these clients are comparing sites/photos/info from many different escorts or agencies, and all of those are using the same style photography. if the word 'elite' has meaning, this is where it would show up. Elite (wealthy, traveling, business class) clients seeking elite escorts (discreet, professional, attractive, mature, able to blend in social activities, and so on).

That was what bothered me as well. It implies that someone with lower rates is automatically inferior to someone with higher rates, when in fact it just may be what she wants to charge. she may not have a lot of overhead, she may not consider herself a professional, etc etc. lots of reasons, not necessarily bad. Then i would just add, if it is a massage type session he's looking for, that is unlikely available with street related workers. A permanent location set up for actual massage would be needed. I agree with ER as well. There is a type of companion where these very professional finished photos represent the type of companion that they are. They would not be not well represented by selfies or non professionally touched photos in any of their site galleries or advertising. When they see this type of photo, potential clients know that they are professionals, who are investing heavily in their reputation and presentation. & no I do not think mirror shots with a cellphone will be attractive to that clientele ever. It will make him think twice about contacting that escort, because he is looking for an escort, professional, companion. There are some escorts who people (on review sites) always denounce for 'over' photo shopped photos in ads. But they are usually the ones who haven't seen them. Anyone who does says in spite of the touched up photos, the escort looks like the photos, there is still no misrepresentation. I've seen videos of the same sps, and yes, in real life that is what they look like. Just because a photo shows someone who appears unbelievable doesn't mean they are lol. And lets' not leave out the ones who actually steal photos off of catalogues etc, and they will never look like the photos in the ads. That isn't a problem of photoshopping, it is a problem of stealing pro photos.

I think this is a great attitude. With some clients' postings, I get a distinct impression that they are projecting onto the sp, then get either hurt feelings or anger when they finally realize that the sp is not swept up in mad love & emotions for them. They may read 'signals' that are not there, or the sp may be unintentionally giving off a 'i want more' vibe, or something they say is misinterpreted. She wants to let him know she appreciates him as a client and wants to ensure he knows he is welcome to contact her again, and he sees that as her falling for him. And she is put on the spot, fear of confrontation, conflict, backlash or just hurting someone's feelings, disappointing them, etc. Loss of income, of course, as well. an sp who does screen well doesn't want to lose someone who went thru the process and started off as a good client. Additional Comments: I firmly believe you shouldn't stay unless you are the type of guy who is willing and able and ready to just go with the flow. Something attracted you enough to get you to the door, and it wasn't just the photo in the ad. So you may be a guy who proceeds with a now lowered expectation, but maybe allow her to do her thing, and see if her thing does something unexpectedly good for you lol i just had this happen recently, i would have been happy enough had he decided to go, he decided to stay, and I thanked him for being a good sport, actually. But he was super nice, polite, generous natured, not rude, condescending or crude, otherwise i would have been the one to show him the door. i doubt if his uncertainty could have affected my personal self esteem on any day, but even less so on that particular day. I know i am not a match for everyone, but i don't expect to be and i don't try to be. I don't tell new clients i am the 'best' or 'number one' or 'great at' anything in particular, i don't tell them they will be 'blown away' or even that they 'won't be disappointed'. i don't hype myself up, and if they still decide to show up, I'd rather they choose to stay because they want to, not because they feel obliged having taken up my time before they got there. it wasn't a lot of notice, he didn't take up more than 15 minutes betwen phone call and arrival, if he decided to go, no one was turned away to accommodate him.

I don't think there is a % in this type of service. But I also don't think that if you are seeing an independent sp, as opposed to an mp or agency provider, that it isn't necessary to add a tip unless you feel their asking rate is too low. With those you might consider being an employee, where what you pay is not what she gets, another 20 on top of the fee goes a long way.

I would say, I will find out when he stops contacting me for appts. He doesn't owe me an explanation. I don't deal in emails, phone calls only, so it is unlikely someone is going to call me up and tell me, or announce it in their 'last' appt. I've had guys disappear for a year, then show up and let me know they moved to another province for that year but came back. Others may be in ill health, a long break they tell me they were in hospital. A much longer break with no contact, I can only assume the worst, but even still it is no one's business but theirs what they do with their time. Some may lose their job, their last appt with me indicates that, and i don't hear from them again. I used to have one semi regular after a break would let me know he'd been seeing someone for a while, lol. if i enjoy someone's company that doesn't change just because a situation changed. I've worked other jobs that i connect with coworkers, and customers, and other relationships, but when the job ends, so do these connections with no hard feelings. They were always business relationships, not BFF friendships, they don't owe me anything, i don't owe them anything either. we interacted due to one specific reason, without that reason, there is no connection.

When Toronto's city council put out that letter, Joy Smith did an Op Ed whining about it all (either TO's letter or Vancouver's letter, ) I don't really remember because the impact of her complaint fell on totally deaf ears. As we can see by these comments in this more recent article. LE has always had a number of laws that enabled them to pursue clients, managers and in the past, sps. Now they have the same laws, with different names, that enable them to pursue clients and managers (as in mps and agencies). In the past, being in any incall could lead to charges for both parties. LE never enforced it because it was a stupid amount of investigation to lay the charges, for minimal gain. VPD has always had the opinion, as Edmonton does about mps, that indoor locations are safer locations, and they don't get the public up in arms either, due to being out of sight. So no reports, no problems. Same stuff, different day, new name for the same socalled crimes. These are just a new set of laws they will continue to have no interest in enforcing, just like the bawdy house laws, because they know that it is costly & time consuming to try, and that sps are safer where they are, indoors with or without managers. The major effort will always be on the street trade because it is just so much easier. There used to be a limited interest in massage parlour activities, but the scoop (i.e # of arrests) would be minimal, compared to the cost to do them, so I haven't heard of one of those for quite some time. In the past, no doubt it was driven by complaints from the public, just as the street sweeps respond to those. Re: the zealots. They will be super happy if the street trade appears to be smaller, and if a XXX massage parlour looks to be out of business. Many mps could do themselves a big favour (as in not getting noise complaints, etc) if they stopped going outside in skimpy clothes to have cigarettes and loud conversations (true story apparently). The zealots will also believe that trafficking has reduced in a major way when ads are no longer graphic to the point of obscene, & maybe when all sites prevent spamming by one or two agency/sps lol, so the overall number reduces, since they probably count them. It wouldn't hurt if the minimum age to put up ads was 19, then 'no one' would be young. Also no face pics, because zealots can tell by looking at a photo of someone who 'looks' young that they are underage. :) We haven't broken the news to them yet that many ads have fake pics, and posted ages are not, um, shall we say 'accurate'?

I've had someone contact me with the comment that he called me BECAUSE my age was over 40. It is pretty rare, so the ones who do post ages over 29, tend to be fairly busy as many clients are looking for if not over 40, at least over 35.

The first episode of IZombie was interesting. I guess it is based on a comic book, the visual effects had that in it, not unlike Constantine. Altho the episode had a murdered escort in it as what was being investigated, they still did a lot of things right: the escort was always referred to as a call girl rather than the alternative more derogatory terms, even when the police were talking about her. There were 3 characters, one older woman from Romania who we know is not a trafficking victim, or a madam. One younger American who is working her way thru school, and then the murdered Romanian also not a trafficking victim, and her only criminal record is for theft (the basis of the motive). The bad guy was the cop, which is reflective of US sex worker reality in that much of the violence against them comes out of it being criminalized, and from cops. Also, we see where she lived, which as the cop points out, is nicer than his apartment, so we know she made good money, not desperate or drug addicted. And the motive for her death was not her work or anyone trying to control her to keep her working, it was due to her kleptomania. And since we don't get to 'meet' her, this bit of info is very humanizing. Also there is a bit of comedy with another of their clients who does some role playing, as in more about clients and escorts that is not skeezy and desperate and violent. Also a supporting one liner role to the guy who lives across the hall from the older woman got to say something along the lines of 'it's her body, her choice'. ;)

I think the answer to the question is 'it depends'. Just that some are with agencies, and an agency tends to be old school, putting out a young age to attract the 'typical' clientele, then the sp is stuck with that. Some setups (not agencies) as i call them are notorious for blatantly misrepresenting ages and fake pics, we've all heard of those. Not fudging 3 or 4 years, but literally decades. They've discovered the magic ad age is 22, and that is the age they put in to their advertising. the sp you meet could actually be 40 Some sps start young, and probably should be (or regret not doing this) adding a couple of years to their posted ages. If they post real 18, the clientele will be quite different than if they, an 18 year old, posted 20. i did know of at least one younger sp who did post an older age. she had no interest in seeing guys who were younger, nor guys who would be interested in seeing someone 20, for example. Some experienced sps know that many experienced clients do an auto add to posted ages, so they may adjust their age to reflect that someone is automatically adding 5 years to it, to get to an accurate or real age, they drop 5 years. lol. Or they post an age that they actually appear to be. given that many don't understand what 40 looks like, if the sp says 40, clients are likely to imagine the looks of someone 50 because they don't really know what 40 looks like. So that's why i say to the OP, 'it depends'. in most cases whether the age is accurate or isn't, probably doesn't make that much difference, so long as the posted age reflects both what you imagined, and what you see at the door.

Sex, whether addiction or not, and provided it is between two consenting people of legal age (in this i include non sex workers under the age of 18 you see), is not the same as alcohol, whether abused as an alcoholic or otherwise. Alcohol comes with label warnings, and bars put up signs referring to why pregnant women should not be drinking. Alcohol has actual physical harms to the body if pregnant, or by abuse. In other words, there is no way to make alcohol use 'safer', not really. Sex does not, hence it is my opinion that warning labels are not required in regards to sex workers or sex itself lol

Unless they publicly post about it, no other client has the right or permission to tell you, the OP, about sps who have SOs. Sorry, but no.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the LE firm conviction there are 30 to 50 (max) 'escorts' in the city, while also suggesting all 30-50 are drug addicted and probably working on the streets, not actually 'escorting'. I'm like either the writer of the article is really bad, or LE is really a bad liar. But in any case, if there are 'only' 30-50 they want off the street so badly, I am at a loss as to why they need a lot of funding to do that. We are, of course, assuming these 30-50 want to be rescued, and aren't actually putting up a fight about it?

For example, the guy could go to the place, just get the legit massage no happy ending, and spend less of the tax payers money. What i fail to see is how this is supposedly stopping 'sex trafficking'. The only thing that is different about this versus a brothel is the license. And probably the licenses are limited and/or much more expensive or can't get the zoning. In Australia they have a ton of different policies in different areas, meaning in one city it is easy to get the proper license to set up a brothel, but in another you basically criminalize everything creating this two tier set up just like the article is describing. Obviously the attendants are perfectly OK with the fact extras are available, if they weren't they would go to one of the 3 spas where they are not on offer.
