  1. i think the escort busts is trying to drag you to sign up for TER review site. Which charges reviewers to get access to what they like to call the 'juicy details' of a review. escort bust ad? well here you go, we have the answer to how you can avoid LE, etc etc, fine print on the sites, or click on links etc, will usually lead to the real reason for it. One similar site led to something like adult friend finder, as in a paid dating/hookup type of site. 'don't pay escorts' they warn, blah blah blah
  2. Well i wouldn't consider it as such in your example, that seemed more like two people enjoying a conversation and she asked to find out more about you. I don't ever associate it with a professional, in other words. But in the case of the OP's example, she is making it clear in her advertising that goodlooking guys are getting special attention and the opportunity to meet with her. and they might as well not even apply unless or until they apply with said photo.
  3. I don't think this is unusual. We have 2 yr program colleges that are far more intensive study and practicum in for example music, that UBC music grads would come to after their 4 years at university. i don't think one is better than another or better than not doing any formal education at all. It usually depends on what someone wants to get out of it and to do later. Sometimes it is about gaining some maturity, and being self directed to finish projects, papers, write exams. It can be about teaching self discipline. Expanding exposure to things (required reading is required for a reason lol) Technical or business college degrees might end up being more useful or transfer into work faster, due to some have closer ties with the local businesses. I have had some jobs where i would not ever have been hired without my diploma because it is a requirement in the job hiring description, along with other professional accreditations which i had to pursue on my own time. If i had wanted to be a poet, or writer of literature, or classical musician, i would have attended universtity, i do not think that higher education would be wasted for those who pursue those arts. i think those are the things that help train artists, & give them the skills to enable them to express themselves. You can have talent, but you rarely communicate it without technique, and technique is learned.
  4. regarding a new unknown unreviewed sp doing this. I think it is pretty rare, to be asked, and i think the reason (if the sp is legit, and not just some 14 yr old boys playing games) is for the potential client to feel flattered. Chances are very high the sp still sees everyone who contacts her, but now he is lifted up thinking he passed the test, she finds him attractive, he feels kind of special to be picked, and so on and on and on. There would also be a very very much smaller chance that she is amatuer, new to biz, and seriously has no clue about discretion, safety and protocols. I think in a way she would be a very dangerous person to see, due to that lack of respect for privacy, potential lack of respect for discretion. She is treating it like casual encounters dating, she uses the protocols for that (face pic, more info) to set up a paid date, but it doesn't work that way. I know when i did see reviews of one sp who did do this, she was attractive, and the guys who got 'picked' felt that they had achieved something 'ordinary and unattractive' guys would never get to experience. in which case, as a marketing scheme, it really works.
  5. I have never been but i think it is very very pretty, the location, those colourful houses/buildings.
  6. A good article that is totally believable, mostly because they asked a real former sex worker. :) thank you for posting.
  7. i have an sp friend who's name is being used in sending out emails. when i look at the source email address, it is not hers, but the name she puts in her own email account shows up as the sender just like hers. You might want to be looking for the email account before opening it and if it doesn't match who it says in the senders name field delete and block.
  8. i'm a firm believer that if it is a short notice appt, and you want a quick response, then you pick up the phone for a voice to voice conversation. Texts can go missing, they can get confused, and if they are lacking the required info, they can get ignored. A quick phone call takes you to a voice message if they have one, leave a message if you can, and be SPECIFIC as to what time you are looking for. Afternoon is vague, between 2pm and no later than 4pm is not. And if you have not seen the sp or talked to her before, then it is a good idea to contact her the day before or morning of to see what her schedule is like, rates, general location, and if she prefers prebooking, if she is available during that time period, and to let her know that if things work out for you, you will contact her after 1pm, to set something up.
  9. To get to that 'average' of 200-240, it means that there is and will be rates that are under 200 and over 240. It's just math That's really all you need to know about rates and why some sps charge over 300. Expenses tend to increase, not decrease. My rent is only up 100 since i first started, but i'm sure others have different experiences. 5 years ago the number one advertising was all free all the time, when that was shut down, sps had to move onto paid sites. In my area we got lucky, replacement sites were busier or as busy and still free. until they were not, and their rates got higher and higher, then charged in US $ and went up with the exchange rate. When i started using BP, it was 1.00 & 2.00, before the big change it had been raised up to 10.00 per ad. now you have paid options which are low, but recently they increased the new lower rates by charging in US$ no more Cdn pricing. all expense increases are absorbed by many sps, meaning their profits are decreasing. but really simply increasing rate by 20 bucks an hour would cover most of these increases, and yet as a favour to clients, many sps do not do that increase that they really need.
  10. true, and c36 did not improve these conditions. before c36 and before and after Bedford, it was illegal to pimp period. No living off the avails, no kidnapping, no coercion, and especially none of that for under 18s. no exceptions. In June the year c36 was introduced but before they railroaded it into law, dozens and dozens of people were caught, and charged, with the current set of laws dealing with all of the things these girls went thru. No new laws were needed. the only thing new that people doing this get charged with is if they posted the ads, now there is a law against doing that, so they add that to the list of all the things always illegal. Germany is trying or succeeded in passing some sort of mandatory registration. the sexworkers there are up in arms about it, in protest. NO sex worker should be obliged to register for anything, even in legalized or decriminalized countries. New Zealand does not require it, nor are licenses required for independent workers. and that is one of the safest places for sex workers to work.
  11. You should go thru a sex workers organization located in the city first, I know of one called S.H.O.P tho i only really know it exists, nothing much else about it.
  12. if you are on twitter, i highly recommend following those mentioned in the story. Additional Comments: except Kristoff and Dunham, of course. :)
  13. EXactly, and it should be noted that the majority of people do not understand that under age for sex workers means under 18. Even on industry sites like this one there is confusion over age of consent (16) and this minimum working age. Tell someone the sp is 16 or 17, and he thinking that 16 is the age of consent is not going to think there is anything further illegal about it, especially if 'she' is telling him yes it is ok. I dont' know how many discussions i have seen over the years on escort forums, all with guys and sps arguing about 'legal age' being 16 not 18, and not getting that the difference is what is the sp doing versus what would she be able to consent to if payment is not part of it all.
  14. In the sting, during the booking process, the 'sp' was telling the potential clients that they were under 18. At least one of the guys charged who was asked by media said that he felt more like he was being forced to go see her, as he'd declined more than once, and felt that the texts would show that. might be a story, might be true. I know that when they did this in Victoria, they only had 2 guys show up, and one of them was ESL and had asked if the 16 was legal age, and been told yes it was OK. being from another country, he was being led to the sting (probably because no one was showing up) And that victoria sting, was done prior to c36 because yes, of course it was, and still is, illegal to solicit the services of anyone under 18. and yes, it is and was possible to charge them under the original criminal laws, and would be criminal after the 3 laws were repealed by the SCoC, no one changed minimum ages. I think the majority, not all, of these guys should have gone to court. i realize it is an embarrassing process, but i think that many of them could have pushed the process of this sting, and shown that LE was luring, not the other way around. i know that the old laws were pushed to ridiculous lengths until the courts shut LE down for how liberally they were applying the public solicitation law against sps and clients. In one court case, they charged a guy who was in his car and blinked his lights on and off as 'public solicitation'. that being decades ago, they pissed off the courts with all the frivolous charges, and things changed. and what they don't mention is the vast majority of the callers on that fake ad declined to proceed or offered advice to the underage 'teen' to stop. and it isn't 'many European countries" it is a handful of countries, and it has been proven multiple times over in those countries to not work. and cause more harm to sex workers, and more corruption at all levels of the 'enforcement'.
  15. i think sometimes sps are going to be behind due to the inconsistency of other appts showing up on time, or ending on time. while it would be nice that all clients respect the time has ended, not all do and continue to push beyond a reasonable amount. some sps require clients to be on time, and if they are not, the time of the appt's end will not change. half hour late? oh well, it doesn't mean you get to stay an hour from arrival to exit, it means you stay a half an hour for your hour appt. if a client is late arriving/leaving, the sp may have time enough between appts to get ready for people who are on schedule, but not enough when someone is not. if she is asking for another hour, then by all means cancel the appt as this may be a sign of doubling up. if she asks for 5-10 minutes, then relax and appreciate the fact that she wants to be presentable for you due to circumstances beyond her control she has been delayed.
  16. Me too, i've done them for so long (it really is a normal time option here it just makes sense to offer it) and really like the feedback. it is often used by new clients concerned about what if the half hour is rush rush, and what if the hour is not an hour, what if they spend that and something happens, etc. i do know a couple of sps who will not see new clients for longer sessions beyond a half hour. To me it makes sense, because the sp wants to know that she and he are compatible, and the half hour allows the time on both sides to figure out if a longer session is going to be a good idea. i think nothing worse for either side to feel stuck with the hour session when things are not really flowing. 15 minute sessions are a unique idea, and really i don't see an sp offering this if it wasn't either a popular option or one that she's being asked about frequently. it doesn't mean she isn't a good long session provider, just that she is trying to be flexible in the way she operates her own business. 15 minute specials or sessions are like when a place has a sale or a buy 9 get the 10th one free promotion. my guess is the sp is going to meet the guys who are really sitting the fence, or been scammed a time or two, and really gunshy, a 15 is a low rate low time experience that introduces the two of them, with the idea that longer sessions are not only possible now, but also in the future, where he can be reassured she is legit, and she can be reassured he is safe.
  17. An important reason an sp may want or need you to have a cel phone, on first meetings, is due to giving directions. sps who are not at a spa or public address type place are not giving out the complete address details on confirmation. Some will still get you to go to an intersection and call from there for the actual address, and then may still want you to phone from your car for the suite number and buzzer, that after you made the confirmation call. Hand in hand with this is the ability to update the sp if you get stuck in rush hour traffic, stuck due to an accident, cannot find the address or follow directions or similar events. without a cel phone in hand, i would have had at least 6 people have to leave my building or outside of it to go find a pay phone to call me to tell me that they can't figure out how to get from their car to the front door to ring the buzzer, or i have had people go back to the front door to ring the buzzer to talk to me telling me that they cannot find their way to my floor. the intercom is just that, not a private conversation, the last thing i want is to be discussing floor numbers, apartment numbers and so on. the celphone eliminates that. In spite of it not being very legit, i refuse to provide any info by pm, texts or emails. any replies to such contact methods will have me telling the person to phone me if they want the info. no phone call no appt booking anyway, might as well make the call. If you phone me, regardless if it is from your home phone, you can make an appt with myself, and probably a number of other sps. It is only the first visit that you may have to make the call from home to confirm appt time, then go and find the closest payphone to verify to her that you are in the area, then get the basic address info, always have a pen, and always follow the directions given. any legit professional sp who works in the same location will know where the working payphones are. (joking, because many of the ones i used to know about are no longer where they used to be) I have also had appts made by people with celphones were at the last minute their phone dies (or services are disrupted by the phone company). i've had people with working celphones wandering around the streets literally outside my building because they can't figure out when i say downhill i mean walk down hill not the opposite of down hill. without the celphone if you are someone who cannot follow basic directions, the sps are on a schedule, if you cannot call to say you are running late, if you cannot call to say you cannot follow the directions or find the address, any number of things will end up in frustration, and potential losses because the sp cannot reasonably expect to know when you are going to arrive. in any case, it is only on the first appt, so figure out how to make it work, on 2nd or 3rd appts you can make one phone call and get all the info no problem
  18. As an sp sometimes you get a feeling about the difference on how someone acts when they are simply nervous and how they act when they are putting on an act, with the specific intention always being to 'lookie loo' and leave. if they are seeing a call and book and see on short notice sp without taking the time for emails, research or websites, fine, be sketched out nervous and paranoid thinking all sp ads are LE set ups, and bolt. But seeing an escort like the OP, she doesn't set up appointments that way. there is plenty of time for doing all the things to reassure that we are not living in the USA with stings & so on, so that by the time they reach the door and knock, the presence of a housekeeper or even just the cart shouldn't make a bit of difference.
  19. I saw that not long ago. I liked it more than i expected to like it. Sweet romantic movie :) I recently watched Mission Impossible: rogue nation (more my kind of movie) I find that you can pretty much loathe what an actor does with their life and still enjoy the movie roles that they take on.
  20. i don't think anyone should take their ring off. What if it gets left behind or lost? not a good idea, escorts don't care if there is a ring there or not
  21. There are some setups out here where the rate option is the 45. I don't think anyone can cut that back to get a lower half hour rate, but they can add to it for the hour. In those places (mini brothel setups called micros) yes showering before is part of the 45 but the shower is not actually optional as far as i can tell. if you don't have one, why not try it? 45s are a great way to get that half hour guy who is never done in under 40 minutes to compensate for the extra time he really needs. he doesn't need an hour, or he'd never pay for the hour, so why not have a mid way rate time option that will please both you and him.
  22. >>> HAPPY HOLIDAYS !! Best wishes to all over the holiday season and for 2016. anyone have any favourite holiday movies?
  23. i have my ads set up in a way that works most of the time. It has to be enough information to attract the clientele you are actually looking for, the ones who do take the time to read an ad. I do not provide rates/services in an ad not just because it is not allowed on the majority of sites, but because my screening is to have people phone me. Not text, not message and not email. if they can't respect the ad enough to make the phone call, without texting/emailing with some lame excuses as to why not, then it is an easy pass. someone who doesn't comply with a simple condition of booking is a red flag for someone who won't comply with your conditions of behaviour on arrival and during sessions. someone who thinks they are 'too good' to do that is not a good client. on the topic of repeating information already provided there are a few reasons for that, which do include the fact some haven't read the ad. but some have, and the question is to confirm that what they read is correct, and not out of date. And to give you a chance to show them a bit about yourself. Any conversation regardless of how lame it is is about your marketing. relying on one type of marketing, just the contents of the ad? that's not always a complete picture. Part of your ad is how you communicate with the potential client.
