  1. For me integrity is not as simple as a one question litmus test... integrity is mire about how someone behaves in their life day after day.... I cheat on my wife by seeing SP'S... it's not something that I am proud of and yea it affects my personal integrity... but it does not mean I don't have personal integrity....in general I think people who know me would say I daily carry out my life with integrity and honesty.... i do the things in my life that I say... i walk the talk. Does that mean I perfect of course not... who the fuck is... we all have our weak points. it's when your weak points dominate your behaviour that I think you have an integrity problem. For politicians you have to consider the environment they operate in... the party system.... the constantly looking for public approval.... the need to appear to support your political base while reaching out to those in the right or left. it is very hard to demonstrate integrity in that model. Does Peter McKay think his new law will eradicate prostitution no... but it plays well to his base...it's safe the people who don't like the bill will for the most part not change their vote in the next election. He is doing what i expected from him. Just my opinion

  9. It would not matter to me at all and the fact that you would do this for a friend speaks to me about the type of person you are and would only make you more attractive to me.

  11. I'm procrastinating about making a decision about my future involvement here on CERB and my continued engagement in this hobby. Some decisions are hard so you put them off.
  12. Just to be clear I think the retailer should honour the posted price and I would push for that to happen. All I am saying is that the legal remedies being suggested are not that simple there would have to be proof of a "guilty mind" an intention on behalf of the retailer to mislead the public and/or a history of using such inappropriate business practices. One instance of a retailer failing to remove a store shelf tag after the conclusion of a sale would be difficult to win. There have been a number of recent cases where online electronic flyers gave listed stuff at the wrong price and companies have not honored the price but simply said it was a mistake. Would I pursue the manager yes would I pursue legal action No. Just my opinion.
  13. Good business practices, company policies or industry voluntary codes of conduct are just that "voluntary" so in my opinion there is no legal requirement for the retailer to honour the price.... many reputable retailer would.
  14. It sucks to feel like no matter what you say you end up feeling like your fucking Wrong.....

  22. I celebrated Canada Day today as I an a very proud Canadian.... not proud of Harper and McKay but proud to be a Canadian. Many of you may not know this but in Newfoundland July 1st also has a second significance, I guess to be accurate July 1St in Newfoundland was significant long before it was selected as Canada Day. Prior to 1949 Newfoundland was a separate independent country and participated in the 1st and 2nd world wars as a separate country following the 1st world war a National War Memorial was built and July 1st was selected as Memorial Day (yes we still recognize November 11th) . July 1st was selected by the Country of Newfoundland because it was the day in which 800 solders from Newfoundland answered the call to battle in the first day of the Battle of the Somme during the 1st WW the following day less than 100 answered toll call. This huge loss of life impacted almost every community in Newfoundland. For this reason the people if Newfoundland still mark July 1st as Memorial day. So while a proud Canadian I an also a proud Newfoundlander and I celebrated July 1st as both Canada Day and Memorial Day.
