  1. Um... if you don't really want to know, why bother posting to this thread? Or asking? These are not rhetorical questions. I'm afraid I don't quite follow your reasoning here. This is absolutely an appropriate venue to mention something like this. I'm not well up on the details, but it sounds like someone has made a concerted effort to make life miserable - if not positively dangerous - for some of the ladies in Ottawa, and that repeated exposure of that person's lying and fraudulence has finally convinced them to quit. This should be a cause for celebration for all of us in this forum, and I'd have thought many people here, whether they be SPs/MAs or those who visit them, would be interested in knowing about it. Congratulations on the good work, guys, and thanks for letting us know about it. Ottawa's a better - and safer - place today.
  2. Giant prehistoric krakens may have sculpted self-portraits using ichthyosaur bones I love this, never mind whether it's true or not. Who said palaeontology was boring?
  3. Ooooh, a challenge! Can't think of any songs off the top of my head (although I'm sure something will arise), but in the meantime, how about a band named after a D&D deity? Kyuss - Green Machine
  4. Not on SPs, alas. I was all ready to be quite impressed by such a heroic effort, but now I feel sadly let down :)
  5. So, I almost posted this in the pin-ups group, but I thought it'd probably get me killed :) Something entertaining about a photographer who's taken a set of pics of stereotypically manly men in pin-up poses. His website is here. The results are... interesting. Ladies, he's doing a 2012 calender :)
  6. And here's a song about getting hurt, by a band with Roy Orbison in it (with some other famous people :) ) The Traveling Wilburys - Congratulations http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKShNYsclLU
  7. And riffing off that, and you, and thinking of riffing... Black Sabbath - A National Acrobat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHeI_4MfzsI
  8. AC/DC - Hell's Bells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Kjh9lQXLWk
  9. Wow. If that's standard, then I suspect getting paid (or not) for donations is almost irrelevant compared to the amount of hassle required to actually donate. It might be OK for someone who lives fairly near to their clinic, but it's a lot of appointments for someone from out of town.
  10. That's... a Double Rainbow!!! It's so beautiful!!!! What does it mean???? ( - for those who have no clue what I'm on about)
  11. More dancing! David Bowie & Mick Jagger - Dancing in the Street
  12. For me, it'd be less about the menu items and more about being able to see you at all. Come and visit us in Ottawa :) Not driving several hundred km :) I'm sure the ladies can comment more on how common this is (or isn't). For me, I'd *love* to think that the lady I'm going to visit looks forward to it even half as much as I do.
  13. Well, yes - but that's not the point. The point is that we all discriminate when we're considering who we're going to have sexual relations with. Can *you* honestly say that you'd be equally willing to hop into bed with anybody, without any regard to their age, or race, or religion, or body type, or looks? Can you really, honestly, say it'd make no difference to you at all? That you're completely indiscriminate in who you choose to sleep with? I know I can't, and I wouldn't expect anyone else to, either. Incidentally, if you're *completely* indiscriminate in who you choose to jump into bed with, other people will probably judge you for that, too. You can't win :) To be fair, some do - especially on the age of clients. There seem to be quite a few ladies that don't generally see younger guys. But this is *not* like any other business. SPs get up close and personal with their clients in a way that no other businessman or businesswoman does. And although it's true that one person's money is no better or worse than another's, most SPs are not so desperate for the folding stuff that they can't pick and choose who they see. As far as timewasting goes, if you think that an SP may not choose to see you because of your skin color/body type/age/religion/nationality/tattoos/piercings/whatever, then your best bet is simply to tell them about these things when you first make contact. That way, if they do decide to discriminate, not too much time is wasted on either side.
  14. Is this the canine equivalent of a Vulcan Death Grip?
  15. Homewreckers certainly exist. They're the people with whom a married (I use the term loosely) man or woman begins an affair, which is great for a while, and who then start asking questions like, "When are you going to leave him/her for me?" And eventually they'll play the ultimatum card, and someone who only ever really wanted a better sex life will be in a horrible position, and they know their relationship with their SO will quite possibly be wrecked, either by splitting up with the SO or the vengeance of the jilted lover. But SPs are not these people. SPs don't demand that you call the day after (or ever, for that matter). They don't hand out ultimatums (ultimata?). They provide a release valve for those things with aren't being released within the relationship with the SO. yes, I'm sure there are a few SPs who may take a relationship with a client too far and become homewreckers - but I'm equally sure that this is a very small minority, that the vast majority save far more relationships than the ever endanger, and in the cases where the SP-client relationship becomes known to the SO that this is because of the client's carelessness in separating the two. So, yes, I'm sure you ladies reading this have probably saved a relationship or two (or three, or hundred), whether the client in question ever told you this or not.
