  1. It appears her website is gone now and she hasn't logged onto lyla in a while. For purely selfish reasons I do hope she has not retired for good. I'll miss her.
  2. Savannah Lane. And I'm envious.
  3. but often I am commuting via active transport (walking, biking) or public transport. In those scenarios a centrally located hotel works best, either downtown or near the citadel.

Been using 1Password for a year or so now. Syncs with cloud, works on multiple devices, good interface, relatively cheap. Works for me.
  5. Cristy, Try Piatto Pizza on Morris St. Wood fired and very good. Also Morris East just up the hill does a very good job. Enjoy,
  6. Lilly, Hope you have a wonderful day. Are you finally old enough to drink legally? R
  7. I always enjoyed Ms. Evans posts. Thoughtful and considerate. I see that she hasn't been on CERB in a while, no posts. Has she retired? Thanks.
  8. there is an Apple store in Halifax, at the Halifax Shopping Center off Chebucto. They'll probably be able to help. I'm still searching the interwebs for solutions. You're not the first to whom this has happened. Additional Comments: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4443974?start=0&tstart=0
  9. An interesting twist on this idea would be if the amount of money you receive increased with the greater odds of death. Set the baseline at 1:1000 with a million. At 1:100 it's 10 million, at 1:10000 it is $100,000. You get the idea. That would change my response, and possibly others as well. I'd risk higher odds, but probably not greater than 1:100.
  10. So glad you're back with us. Don't ever leave us again.
  11. Pen, Congratulations! It is good to hear that you are both healthy and well. Enjoy your early Christmas present.
  12. It's good you know yourself well enough to know what you need to do. I'm glad I got to meet you. Good luck in your other efforts. All the best to your family.
  13. Congrats, Sara. Always love reading your posts. But remember, these posts do not count towards your 1000 words/day writing effort. Nice try.
  14. Congratulations Penelope. Kids are a never ending source of entertainment, usually good. You won't be bored. Best of luck. If you need early morning coffee let me know.
  15. I know this has been covered, but I'll inject my two cents anyway. I know the SP to whom you refer. I would be very, very surprised if she were to write anything about a gathering like this. In my mind she epitomizes discretion.
  16. Cristy, I think this post may be the one to which he refers: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=85546
  17. I remember an interview done with Shannon Nickerson, a professor of psychology at SMU in Halifax. During the interview she mentioned that men's pubic hair actually stimulates the clitoris, making for a more pleasurable ... experience for the woman. Any providers find that to be true? The interview can be seen here: http://live.haligonia.ca/halifax-ns/doctor-paul/10719-talking-about-sex-professor-shannon-nickerson.html
  18. Amelia, Congrats. Looking forward to 500 more. And I wouldn't describe your posts as not useful, they are quite entertaining. Halifax is a little more dreary without you. R
  19. Happy Birthday! Hope your move went well. You will be missed in Halifax.
  20. Gang, Perhaps some of the ladies know Mr. Brown: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/opinions/my-friend-the-john-on-chester-browns-graphic-memoir/article2021715/ Interesting article. And the comments, so far, have been quite good. I'm sure they'll break down soon, but the points raised have been well thought out. Enjoy.
  21. As with banks, any phone purporting to be from a major company that comes out of the blue simply is not real. Never, ever. It's hard enough to get them on the phone when you call.
