  1. Being a bit of a pedant (yeah I admit to it), I appreciate specificity and when a client is vague, I will always ask them to clarify with an actual time frame using numbers instead of "early afternoon" or what have you. If clarifying a specific time, as Red Headed Raven mentioned, is too much to ask then the guy was probably non-committal anyhow. There is no standard definition of when afternoon ends and evening begins, so such phrases can make it difficult to figure things out. Roamingguy is right: specific time requests get you a lot farther than wasting time with vague requests.
  2. Fuckin' bacteria, man! It's incredible how many things they have recently linked to bacteria in the body. It's also mildly terrifying that such little tiny organisms have more to do with our bodies and yes even our personalities than our actual bodies do.
  3. Oils and latex are not good bedmates. And personally I find if I get coconut oil down there, it upsets the already delicate pH balance of the female anatomy and nine times out of ten I get a yeast infection. Of course, it could be other factors since correlation does not equate causation but that's enough for me to avoid it. I prefer a nice silicone based lube for down there, and I use the coconut oil as a hot oil treatment for my hair now and then. Especially in the cold, dry Ottawa winters!
  4. That's right! I am! Though because of some major indiscretion from friends in my private life, I may be changing my working name and removing my face and tattoos from photos to minimize damage and protect my privacy. Likely not since the worst they can do is harass me and there are laws against that, so ... I will be back in town in early December and taking appointments shortly thereafter! If name change happens, I will announce it on Cerb so you know it's still me ;) I'll post more details in a week or so. I look forward to meeting old friends and making new ones!
  5. The problem with statistics is that the numbers are released, but the criterion are not. For example, to be considered a cancer survivor you have to live 5 years after having cancer. Doesn't matter if you drop dead 6 years later from remission, you are still counted in the statistic of a cancer survivor. They are inherently biased - to varying degrees - and I don't put much stock in them, especially when statistics are all someone brings to the table during an otherwise intelligent debate. That being said, with the issue of gun violence in America, there is obviously a major problem going on there in regards to death by gun(s). The States has a serious problem, no bones about it. Just my two cents on the matter...
  6. Right now I've got my library on shuffle and at the moment it's some synthpop goodness: Glass Apple Bonzai (a friend of mine from TO who just won the Niagra Music Awards for Album of The Year AND Engineer of The Year). If you dig 80s synthpop, this guy nails it! Also he's awesome and puts on a fantastic live show! :D (Shameless promotion for my buddy!)
  7. Now this is obviously primarily focusing on the Islamophobic and racist portion of the Canadian populace, but how long before it's used to target sex workers and report their incalls? Nothing good will come of this.... http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-election-2015-barbaric-cultural-practices-law-1.3254118
  8. This is NOT a justification for any unsafe behavior during your adventures in companionship, but it is good news for those touched by the virus. This is very promising... http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2015/09/04/in-new-study-hiv-prevention-pill-truvada-is-startlingly-100-percent-effective/
  9. It is very rare, but it does happen: someone is severely allergic or has a bad reaction to some ingredient in the vaccine. But that's hardly the mean average. These cases are extreme and very uncommon compared to the hundreds of thousands of others with no ill-effects. You have to decide for yourself. If you think a small chance of having such an extreme reaction is too much for you, then don't take the vaccine. HPV--Cervarix vaccine side-effects (Human Papillomavirus Cervarix vaccine) What are the risks from HPV--Cervarix vaccine? The HPV Cervarix® vaccine has been in use around the world for several years and has been very safe. However, any medicine could possibly cause a serious problem, such as a severe allergic reaction. The risk of any vaccine causing a serious injury, or death, is extremely small. Life-threatening allergic reactions from vaccines are very rare. If they do occur, it would be within a few minutes to a few hours after the vaccination. Several mild to moderate problems are known to occur with this HPV vaccine. These do not last long and go away on their own. Reactions where the shot was given Pain (about 9 people in 10) Redness or swelling (about 1 person in 2) [*] Other mild reactions Fever of 99.5 or higher degrees Fahrenheit (about 1 person in 8.) Headache or fatigue (about 1 person in 2) Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain (about 1 person in 4) Muscle or joint pain (up to 1 person in 2) [*]Fainting Brief fainting spells and related symptoms (such as jerking movements) can happen after any medical procedure, including vaccination. Sitting or lying down for about 15 minutes after a vaccination can help prevent fainting and injuries caused by falls. Tell your doctor if the patient feels dizzy or light-headed, or has vision changes or ringing in the ears. Like all vaccines, HPV vaccines will continue to be monitored for unusual or severe problems. With any medicine, including vaccines, there is a chance of side effects. These are usually mild and go away on their own, but serious reactions are also possible. Most people who get HPV vaccine do not have any problems with it. Like all vaccines, HPV vaccines will continue to be monitored for unusual or severe problems. 10. Untoasted! The smell of the beach or the smell of the forest?
  11. Actually, this is closer than we think. A couple years ago they made lab-grown hamburger. But it was something outrageous like $10 000 for a burger's worth or meat. Fast forward to last week and it's down to $200. A couple more years and lab-grown meat might be a realistic alternative. But, we digress. The issue at hand is hunting. And I think it's EXTREMELY important to differentiate between hunting threatened/endangered/protected species and hunting animals whose stocks are plentiful. As I've already mentioned, make sure people understand that there are different types of hunting practices (and sadly even big game is not always poaching as if you have enough dinero, many countries will issue a permit, even for protected/threatened/endangered species).
  12. Killing for sport I disagree with. Especially protected/threatened/endangered species. Especially lions since the pride is ruled by a single male and now that Cecil is dead, the next male to head the pride will kill all the cubs (I think there are a dozen of them or so right now) to ensure only his seed continues the pride's bloodline. So this asshat is actually directly responsible for the deaths of several lions. Sport hunting makes no sense to me and never has. Seasonal hunting (deer, bear, etc) is not to be lumped into the same category as this shit. It's one thing to hunt an animal whose population is healthy. It's a whole different can of worms to hunt a population that is protected.

  14. These are just educated guesses, and do not reflect everyone (DUH). Here are some reasons guys prefer cams: - They can be cheaper than seeing a lady. - Some guys are voyeurs and get off watching (with the added power trip of telling the cam girl what to do/how to do it). For some guys the idea of hiring an escort doesn't jive with them so they hire cam girls instead. - If you do not live anywhere near the lady you fancy, camming allows you to have an experience with her as best you can. - Camming is easier to cover up than seeing a lady is and since guys are used to hiding their online porn from their SOs, hiding a cam site would easily be done as it falls under their usual routine of deleting browser history. There are many other reasons, and many variations on these reasons, of course. I think camming is a good idea, but I wouldn't do it through any cam site. Sad to say, but some thorough digging on cam sites doesn't reveal much good. Many have reputations for ripping off both the cam girls and customers. Best to have your webmaster set it up on your website and do it solo.
  15. Depending on whom you're asking, it's recognized by neurologists that humans have as few as nine and as many as twenty-one senses. Direction, balance, etc., etc., etc. Most of these things are the realm of the subconscious. Part of our auto-pilot system, if you will. For me I prefer to have music on mostly because I dislike silence. Also helps me find my groove ;)
  16. I second the vibrating butt plug. Best purchase I've made in a long time. Especially fun since it has a remote :D
  17. Ha ha! I recently decided to stop waxing since I am not doing it for me but because it's the "normal" thing to do. I now keep a full, but well-trimmed bush and I am quite happy.
  18. Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. The Wheel of Life by Dr Elizabeth Kubler-Ross The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. These three have stuck with me.
  19. Had a client once show up with a huge bouquet of stargazer lilies. He read on my website they're my favorite. I have to say, showing up with a big-ass bunch of flowers like that really made a great impression. I always appreciate gents who approach this as a date with a woman they are interested in rather than an appointment with a woman they're paying for.
  20. Welcome to the board, bigsmooth and Carrieann! As has been said a multitude of times already: tipping does indeed help encourage a pleasant time. However, if you are going to use that tip as a means of plying a lady into offering you more than she normally does then it's viewed as a manipulation tactic. So be mindful that you are not using a tip to try to push your luck. Tips are not required (though some require tips for extra curricular activities) by most ladies. If you are uncertain, best to ask in advance so there are no misunderstandings. Like any customer service job, good tippers are absolutely remembered. True story: I am a semi-regular at a local pub. I always tip well. As a result, I have noticed when it is busy, wait staff always make sure I am taken care of first. This is true of any customer service job: if you are a good tipper it shows you appreciate them enough to demonstrate it above and beyond the normal "bill". It makes you stand out from the other customers. It is remembered and it works favorably for you. Much like the opposite of being a poor customer is remembered and works against you. Now you don't need to tip or stand out to have a wonderful time with a lady. But it certainly doesn't hurt!
  21. Yes, you may buy BP credits with your credit card or Interac Visa card - last I checked, anyhow. Credits are in USD, so be mindful of that when you purchase. When you use credits, you are charged in USD, so you're not going to be ripped off. For example, I bought credits here in Victoria and rather than pay $7 for a bump, I paid $5.25USD. Paysafecards work, too, and are likely what I will be using from here on out. You can purchase at lots of places, and here is a handy search for locations near you. Just enter in your city or your postal code and it will bring up local business you can purchase paysafecards from. https://www.paysafecard.com/en-ca/buy/retailers/
  22. Finally registered and paid for a course I want to take. It's the first step in a plan that will have me in my dream job. Also: it's not stupid hot here and it doesn't stink like smoke from the fires on the mainland and up-island, so I've enjoyed having the windows wide open and a pleasantly cool breeze blowing all day. Oh, and one of my cats has been an enormous suck today. He hasn't left my lap except when I need to get up and gently move him off, but then he curls up again when I'm back. Definitely a good day in my world!
  23. Paid for my Occupational First Aid level 1 just now. Eventually want to get my Level 3 and fuck off to work in remote logging and mining camps. I grew up in the bush and can't wait to get back. OFA level 1 won't get me far, but it's a start. :D I also bought a cupcake to celebrate :D
  24. Ha ha ha!! Robot Jox! I forgot about that. A friend who's into old movies made me watch this once. Also from the Japanese side, very much Gundam! I've been following this for a while. Well... I knew Japan built this last year, and I knew America issued their challenge last week. Only natural I'd share the news. It's not every day you see two giant robots duke it out.
