If I choose to leave the "agency" or booker and advertise myself as an independent, I would not be able to give my client my contact info, without paying a fee to the booker. Hotel is minimum $200-$400 depending on the type of suite booked. Any rewards points could be put towards her expenses, but most of us use them for our personal travel What about food? Girls gotta eat. Staying in hotels makes eating expensive. If she goes back to South Korea each year, the cost needs to be budgeted into her expenses. Hygiene expenses? Food expenses? Beauty expenses? Does the provider have costs associated with booking, advertising, security, licenses? What are they? Per call, per day, per week, per month? Is provider truly independent or "managed"? If managed, what are the rates they pay to "manager?" What are the tax rates the provider pays the government? Remember a large number of providers pay taxes on our income. What is the long term goal of the provider? Buy a house, pay for higher education, retire early, something else? How long does provider plan to stay in the business? How often does provider want to work? How many clients do they want to see in a given time frame? How much vacation or down time does the provider want/need? I highly doubt you will answer these questions, except with general stories of what you believe are the inside details.
