Police believe there are other victims as well and are urging them to come forward. Simple Mehta, the owner of Simi Magic Spa on St. Anne's Road, is charged with extortion, procuring and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. The employee, Pam Sandu, 22, is charged with extortion, voyeurism, sexual assault and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. Mehta has also been accused of enlisting another woman to "offer or provide sexual services," according to court documents. Police say a 29-year-old man, who was in a business relationship with 39-year-old Mehta, went to the spa on a business matter and was offered a massage by an employee while he waited for Mehta. Once he had prepared himself for the massage, the man was sexually assaulted and discovered he was being videotaped with a cellphone, police said. "At this point the victim was extorted out of a sum of money with the threat that the video recording would be released," police said. The man handed over "thousands" of dollars before going to police to report the incident, police spokesperson Const. Rob Carver said at a news conference. Asked if the assault was actually a sexual favour the man had agreed to, Carver said it doesn't appear he was under the impression "he was getting anything other than a regular massage." Carver also said police believe the man is likely not alone in being blackmailed in that way. "It is our understanding that there's certainly a potential there are other victims, and if anyone feels they have any connection, we'd like them to come forward for sure," he said. Asked if the police believe the incident was a "systemic" issue at Simi Magic Spa, Carver said "we believe that's the potential here, yes." "We had received information that had put this business on our radar, but we hadn't been able to move forward prior to this," he said. That "information" isn't restricted to sexual assault, he added, saying police are looking into the possibility "that other criminal activity may have been occurring at the business." Mehta and Sandhu remain in police custody and more information on further charges could be released on Tuesday, police said. I'm going to weigh in on here. This is an issue close to my heart. The reality is, this is not an industry issue. This is a Society issue. It seems that everywhere we turn, this is the issue of Consent. Some feel that drugging, or putting someone in a state of intoxication, and they can get away with it, it's ok. We've seen the headlines - Society is outraged - the courts are weighing in. Justice is not being fulfilled. Victims are being raped - both men and women. However, there is a rape culture that exists, and the victim is always blamed That is my bottom line. So, to get back to this industry. There are those that willingly will provide a service at a price that is lower then the standard. That in reality is their choice. If they are comfortable with this - Kuidos to them. They are happy, doing what they want. More power to them. However, there are those that are providing something that they do not want to do. They feel pressured, they need to do whatever to make ends meet. Maybe they have a handler who is telling them they need to make $. dollars. Maybe they need to do something in order to pay their rent/food/smokes/drugs/bills-whatever it is. They have a dollar amount they need to make in order to survive. So they do whatever it takes to make this goal. This is subsistence living. This is what the media portrays it to be. We as a community need to draw a line in the sand and say no, I will not participate in this... However, there are so many that feel "they are somehow not the client that contributes to this". They somehow feel that "it can't hurt to ask", or "I'll see if she can give me something more then she advertises, for less then the general rates others quote". They think "I've scored - I need to tell my buddies". How many times have we as a Community seen someone post "I want to see an RMT that provides extras", or, "Hey, does Sally do more then..." I can't tell you the number of times I've had someone ask "I see Mary does x for $100, can you do this for $50?". Or, what can I get for $40, or even $20. Or, "I have $200, can I see you for 8 hours?", or "I don't like to use protection, so how much is it?" I couldn't care less - the reality is, I don't need the money, I'm doing fine without seeing someone. However, I grieve for some of my friends outside of this particular community. They work on the fringes, and do not have the luxury of working in a stable environment. They are feeling the pressure - they have bills to pay, mouths to feed. Yes, even drug dealers or handlers to pay. So the dredges of humanity keep them in the trenches. They know they can get away with this. They know they can get a rock bottom price for something that is truly special. However, I always am amazed when they then complain (on other boards of course), "her place was dirty, she smelled, she was disgusting, her boyfriend threatened me, she robbed me, she was a robot...she sucked". What do these people think? That somehow it would be a magical experience? The reality is - when someone asks for something that most value highly - and then decide that they want to undervalue it - it will never be a magical experience and will most likely be a horrifying experience. So, as a community, we need to draw a line in the sand. We've already decided that negotiating is never acceptable. If the provider is outside of the rate someone is comfortable with - move on. Don't complain - just move on. If you are looking for something who is willing to reduce their rates for you, - realize, you are probably supporting someone who is doing this for the wrong reasons. At the end of the day - is this what you want??? Help stop the whole rape culture - because this is my personal opinion. Those that choose to ask for more - or bargain for more - are part of the whole rape crisis that women are facing today. Yes - whores can be raped. It hurts just as much.

My preference is always dependent on the type of hair they have. If they have coarse hair prone to stubbles, I would prefer a trimmed manscape. If they have fine hair, then shaved/waxed. However, I'm still old school, so au natural is also fine. I knew a guy who had massive body hair - every nook and cranny. It was very coarse and even though he had just shaved (his whole body!), it was like hugging a porcupine. So, I felt like, I'd rather you left everything au natural. He did stop shaving after that and it was much nicer. Not everyone can get away with the no hair look unless done professionally.

Mosesmalone - you and I have very different opinions on this. Maybe you are having difficulty reading the part I said "I am a foster failure". I rescued this girl from a very bad situation. She was in danger of being sold to a dog fighter as a bait dog at worst, or turned into a breeding dog at best, and I couldn't stand by and watch. I agree there are some really bad people out there who take a perfectly great dog and turn them into fighting machines. However, it is not the breed - it is the conditioning they are given. Put on heavy chains, left outside with no socialization, not given any vet care, backyard breeding to have litter after litter. These statements go to many different dog breeds. Not just pit bulls - however, the press only gives sensational headlines - and currently pit bulls are the attention grabbing title that works. It used to be Rottweilers, Sheppards, etc. Right now it is pit bulls. Even your article (which by the way, is in poor form to not include a link to what you are quoting), is in error as the dogs in question are all mixed breeds. I looked into them - again, it is the press using the headline to sensationalize the title. My girl was spayed as soon as the vet said she was ready, she is given regular medical care, socializations with other dogs and people. She is a cat whisperer - when I bring in a stray cat to rescue, she helps them feel safe. She adores everyone, listens to me 100%, and adores me as well. I have rescued many dogs and cats in my life. They are given proper vet care, spayed/neutered, out of my own pocket. Some are re-homed, some live out their life with me. All are saved from a life of neglect and abuse. Please, understand that just because you are only getting your information from a poorly defined search, you are not getting the whole picture of the issues surrounding this. There are many of us that are actually putting our money where our mouth is to fix the problem of back yard breeding, neglect and abuse. If you would like to contribute something helpful to this conversation, I would appreciate it. However, your inability to understand what I am saying, is not helpful and quite frankly offensive. The issue is not the breed - but the wording of legislation that does not actually fix the issue. Yes, we need to protect others from dangerous dogs. Period. However, making it breed specific does not actually fix the issue. I know dogs that look exactly like Labs - but are not. So everyone goes - oh, what a beautiful Lab. Then the Boxer who is a purebred Boxer, someone says "oh, thats a Pit Bull. Its not a Pit Bull, it's a Boxer. I suspect most don't know the distinction between the various breeds.

I use a type of form response. Then we get accused of being impersonal. So, you can't win either way. The only way to get my phone number is either my profile or my website. So, my theory, if they are sending me a text with questions I've already provided, I just redirect them back.

Thank you everyone for your advice. All I know is - Winnipeg will never get my tourist dollars while they have this archaic law on the books. I have no respect for those that have dangerous dogs, but the law does not need to be breed specific. It needs to concentrate on those that have dangerous dogs. Most people do not really know what a pit bull is - even within the dog community - so, Mastiffs, Bull Dogs, Labs, Sheppards, Huskey's Rotti, etc are lumped into the category, but the Media likes to create a big heading and they always read "PIT BULL". So, instead of creating legislation about specific breeds, we need to concentrate on dangerous dogs and hold owners legally responsible for their dogs. Even the listing of dog attacks listed previously - the dogs were mixed breeds - So, why not ban labs or huskies or Mastiffs or Bull Dogs? The reality is - its not the breed - but the owner not recognizing the warning signs and protecting others. I've seen owners of various breeds say "oh, she just wants to play", but reality is - the dog is show positive signs of aggression. These are non-bully breeds I am referring to. For the purpose of this website, we've used the generic term 'pit bull' to describe our dogs, even though there is no proper definition for pit bull. Recent research including DNA analysis by Dr. Victoria Voith and others has proven that dogs commonly identified as pit bulls are quite often a mix of multiple breeds, so breed identification by appearance alone is now considered to be inaccurate and misleading. The conundrum is a good one though, because it frees us up to look at these incredibly popular dogs as a fascinating American phenomena rather than an identifiable item with fixed genetics, behaviors and definable features.
