I've been kind of curious actually... and don't mean this in a negative way (esp with the world having gone to hell in a hand basket lately 😵‍💫) just an observation - the Lyla Twitter acct seems to be dormant, starting back in March.... Does anyone know if it's just on pause temporarily etc?

Same here! I can't believe bumps on Leolist used to legit be 25c... If I had a time machine, there are some things I would do differently... But while I was back in the past I'd make sure to stock up on bumps too 🤣🤣

Welcome to Lyla ☺️ So on your profile to get your status changed from "General Member" to "Verified Independent", you have to email the mods- it was some time ago I got verified here so my recollection is a little foggy, but I think how I did was I emailed them the link to my Directory from my "work" email. And when they confirm it they will change it for you 💕

Escorts and providers are interchangeable terms unless you mean something that I'm not picking up on. (Providers covers FSBM and Dom/Fetish providers too I guess) When Backpage went under, Leolist was only 25c to post, and there was a free bump for each ad per day. Now obviously had to change, with increased traffic and that's fair of course! But before covid they were rapidly increasing their prices and adding all these little nickel and dime upgrades, to where the cost of a basic ad already matched what Backpage charged- but now if you didn't pay for the upgrades your ad got noticeably fewer clicks. They hit pause on *most* of the price increases during the worst part of the pandemic, but as soon as things opened back up last year they jacked them up again and completely abandoned any pretense of moderating ads based on their own rules, which is why in a addition to flood of stolen pics there's so many butthole/vagina/cumshot thumbnails too, real classy place 😒. They just really DGAF. The MINIMUM they could do, even if their prices stayed high, would be to require every poster to verify the way Tryst, Vipfavours and a few others do. It wouldn't completely eliminate scams but it would drastically cut down on them. (Seriously if you take the time to reverse image search the thumbnail of nearly any unverified ad, 9/10 times it will come back as stolen from Twitter, OF or porn) But they won't because while they're still the big fish, they still make bank and don't have to do more than the bare minimum work. 😪

So I noticed in their recent blog Leolist tried to make the narrative (paraphrasing) "we are only accepting Litecoin now because we believe it's a truly free currency blah blah"...I call BS on that! I suspect Visa and Mastercard revoked their right to process payments through them...why would they willingly limit their methods to take payments especially when they slapped on a ~$2 fee every time to add less than $75 in a sitting? It's an absolute money hungry cesspool, they don't care about their well-intentioned users because they know scam ads push our ads down the list further forcing us to keep paying and paying. Just yesterday they made a LTC conversion error in the users' favour (I was given about $30 credit for $12 spend) I thought "huh, maybe it works out sometimes"...today they tried to put my balance into the negative! I emailed them and they reversed that decision, but they still took the extra credit out of my account which is unfair when it's their mistake and they make money hand over fist regardless. Sorry for the longass rant, but I hope and think more people are seeing the light about what trash LL is now. I definitely let as many clients as I can know. There are alternatives, I just think more people need to be made aware of them. 🤔

Depends on the type of scam... If it's a bad provider booking someone for an hour then rushing them out the door in 15 min (or in that vein), then yes usually it's a case of: Delete Ad, Change Name+Number, Post Again Scam But honestly (and rather unfortunately), I can look at page 1 in my home city almost any time of day, and at least half the ads will be using demonstrably stolen pics. (From what I can tell it's similar in most cities) And those ads stay up because Leolist DGAF about that kind of scam, so long as they keep getting $ running the ads...

Since the OG Backpage went down, over time sites have popped up with similar names, hoping to capitalize on name recognition. Just looking now there's bedpages (multiple of this name, with different domain endings), 2backpage, yesbackpage, backpageclassifieds etc... If you have the specific link it might be easier to say if legit or not? But in my personal experience in my area, Leolist is (undeservedly) #1, megapersonals and tryst coming in behind, and a few free sites to post on (but they tend to attract a sketchier crowd)...it's been a while, but last I checked no one really uses the Backpage clones, all the posts were generic scam ads with stolen pornstar pics.

Hey, as a SP/advertiser on Leolist, just wanted to chime in with a possible reason ads might show up as "Deleted" (When you get the "Sorry, this ad is no longer active" message), if that's alright 🙂 On the user interface, Leolist gives us the option to select "hide ad"- so the ad won't be deleted, but it will display the above message as though it were. Sometimes if I am making significant edits to an ad, I will do this til I'm able to finish them. More commonly, I have heard some providers will hide their ad when they are done working for the day; hiding the ad will stop, or at least slow down, the amount of calls and texts they get once they're done. Lastly sometimes it really is deleted- like if a provider is just passing through, they may delete the ad so that after they've left they won't keep getting texts and calls for booking in a location they're no longer in. Or may delete if they're taking some time off, and don't want their phone blowing up. Wanted to offer that insight/different perspective on it, to clarify that there are normal/unconcerning reasons ads may be "deleted" sometimes. Hope this helps 🙂
