That could also be a reason. But almost all of them come to Canada spending thousands of dollars, and with solid educational, professional and financial background. Even if they are just surviving here with part time jobs initially, they might have good financial backup in India. So they wouldn't be desperate to choose this profession to make money. Additionally, virginity and body counts are still religiously and morally big things for Indian girls which might restrict them to choose this industry. Maybe we will see more girls into this in the next generation if Indo Canadians. Having said that, I genuinely hope some of the Indian girls enter the field 🙂

Of course. But many are now 2nd and 3rd generation Canadians and have a lot more in common with this country than India. I believe I have seen 3 Indian girls in the past, all in BC and all born and raised here. Probably 0% chance you'd find a new to Canada Indian gal in this industry.
