I like going there.....there are some great times chatting with the guys..and of couse the wonderful ladies. I have found it relaxing.....funny....and very entertaining...... But as time goes on I have noticed it is a place where the ladies do not come as often as they used to.........:cry: What is going on?..... - Are people being rude? - Have the ladies found that the time spent there is not benificial to them? - Is it a time zone thing and I miss alot the fun stuff? - Do people know how to properly use chat to report people who abuse chat? At one time there were chat mods......and that went terribly wrong.....it was revoked.....but I know enough about these systems that the real mods are and can watch all actions in chat without us knowing...... Private chats.....not sure about that and really do not care.... I now drop in time to time, to say hello, I find it much better, find it great to say hello to some fellow members. So it is better now then it was before, in my humble opinion. I am not in OTTAWA, so for me it was more about making friends in the same line of work as myself, and chatting about the different experiences, and lifestyles! It got to the point, everytime I went into chat ALL I got was "Are you in Ottawa???" "turn on your cam" " when are you coming to Ottawa??" And the best one EVER " I'm going to spank you and beat you until you BEG me to stop" . This job is stressful enough, for me, and my time here was ment to have a break from all the NUT cases, and as chat progessed it got WORSE! But maybe there are too many paying clients keeping the ladies busy these days ... or maybe the ladies were huddled up indoors during the winter drinking hot-chocolate and chatting, but now that summer weather is upon us they're getting out and having some fun outdoors in the fresh air instead .... I personally love chat to get to know a personality of the ladies......I like to see them have fun and converse...I find that the women I have seen ...and most know I am very careful...are the ones that have posted interesting topics and comments and interact with us horndogs....... I feel that half of the sexual attraction and stimulation is through the second largest sex organ we guys have....our brain...hehehehe.....I love to chat before..and after a session...... Now if a lady comes on and she gets asked to cam in whisper...she should openly say if she wants to or not.....that way who ever is there will know.....and if any one asks again we can help defend her decission........or she can vote to kick with reason......if that is her choice..... After all it is her choice........always is her choice and should not feel pressure from any one...... I was a chatmod here for a while, but I couldn't resist the temptation of abusing my powers, so I asked Mod to remove my chatmod abilities before I did something really stupid. Then, temptation took me over again, and I got banned from chat! Go figure? I tend to lean towards bad behaviour...oops! :) While banned I really found myself enjoying the discussion board more, and now I'm allowed back in chat and I've found it a little boring, but it's only as good as I make it. And both times someone invited me to a private chat and asked "How much?" I said how much for what? He said massage. I said I am located in Vancouver. And he left without saying goodbye. There are some brave ladies who survive...I'm sure Miss cloe gets a lot of whispers and invitations to private chat....but they stick it out and they make it an interesting discussion forum. But one thing I do know it's like anything else out there on the internet...any free service that starts off with a small user base and is new and cool ends up being found out by more and more people who are idiots and think they can join the club. And anything with a sexual overtone is subject to attracting some real winners out there. Actually, I guess that goes for anything cool. Once the masses find out about it, they all want to join in and then it just ain't cool anymore. I still don't understand why... guys obviously come into chat wanting to talk to the ladies or see what the room is all about... they probably lurk cause they don't care to chat with other male members and are just checking in to see if one of their favorite ladies drops by. Anyway, since some of you continually complain about this (and it's driving me crazy) I put a 5 minute timer in chat. If your inactive for 5 minutes without typing you get the boot. This will probably kill the chat room completely but at this point I am done with the complaining. If I continue to get complaints in my PM about the chat I will simply remove it from the site. The chat room costs us literally thousands of dollars a year to run (3600.00 before bandwidth, software updates and add-ons) all we get are complaints about it. It was suppose to be a positive addition to the site, a place for the ladies to come and introduce themselves and market themselves. Wallflower :) We're not all evil. That said, I have stopped visiting chat as well. Guys all clamoring for the ladies attentions can be trying on conversations. Or the opposite of everyone logged in, but doing other things. Then of course there was the whole high school shenanigans. But at least the format for private chats is better than the Toronto board with their popup windows... lol They used to pop up at annoying intervals. These things come and go as peoples attitudes change though, so maybe one day people will crowd in again just to have giggles. Good thread Antlerperson! It is however still young, it's in it infancy and will continue to evolve it is an organic being of it's own, popular at first because it was shiny and new, then the novelty wore off for some and the excitement subsided. It did become a bit of a "wank bank" (great one cumquat) and that was frustrating for those of us that were interested in plain 'ol conversation. I've dropped in from time to time to say hi, sometimes it's fun sometimes it's boring, sometimes it's empty. I think it will continue to have it's peaks and valleys and as new members join in the community will continue to evolve. I think the lurking issue is bothersome because often comments are shared in general conversation with the room but there's often a lurker just sitting there not participating. We all know there are lurkers in the discussion board area, but we don't see them, out of sight out of mind. But when you can clearly see that someone has been "lurking" and reading all the info for the last few minutes it's frustrating. I think the 5 minute timer is an excellent solution, great idea. ... Then, temptation took me over again, and I got banned from chat! Go figure? I tend to lean towards bad behaviour...oops! :) Cap i heard you got banned from chat for chating with our your pants on, the complaint came from your family :) Just kidding...
