So share those things that make you smile or that you are grateful for. These are not highlights but rather more simple things that perhaps you overlook but add to your day. When someone thinks of you and says hello The smell of fresh brewed coffee The funny things that children say as they figure out the world around them The ability to play music anytime, anywhere for any mood The first touch of sun on your skin after being indoors An unexpected picture posted online that makes you laugh, better if a snort! Thoughts of my late wife at any stage in our life together and telling someone about her...I smile and cry too but that's okay. Meeting new people who treat me with courtesy and kindness even though they don't know me. Seeing news reports that our economy is improving beyond that which was forecasted and that my investments are in good shape. Waking up in the morning to the sound of my cat purring in my ear. I try to start every morning and end every evening with thoughts of thanks and gratitude. Weather it be a good day or a horrible day. Here are some of the things I am thankful for Being alive, and having good health. beautiful weather A roof over my head wonderful friend and family delicious food It always makes me smile when I smell something wonderful baking or cooking, yum! Great music that makes you want to dance or move your body in some way. a warm cup of tea anything shiny or sparkly a beautiful view or scenery a drive in the country Making someones day I love hearing a baby's or small child's laughter. The kind that comes deep from their belly. You can't help but smile and maybe laugh. Babies of any variety. Animal or human. My list is endless, there are so many reasons to be thankful for and that could make you smile. My grandmother was always baking for this sale or that, church, fireside or lodge. Smelling these items will always remind me of her love and love of life and everything she taught me. I drifted off into a sense of calm and peacefulness. Thoughts of my late father came to me. He was a great guy. I left the pool so relaxed and happy!
