someguy 67067 Report post Posted December 18, 2014 Thought I would start this for all users of Netflix. There are so many shows and movies that I have never heard of and I thought it would be useful for people to post shows that they enjoyed and are worth watching on Netflix. To start, I watched all 10 epidsodes of Marco Polo. It is an amazing series with a lot of great scenery and great plot. Exciting with a lot of action. But beware there is a lot of nudity in this series. Any other shows you care to recommend?
Helena D'Orville 33237 Report post Posted December 18, 2014 Great thread Someguy, thanks ;-) It seems that you have the American Netflix, correct? I only have the Canadian one which starts to frustrate me because of the little choices we have. Anyway, maybe you have seen them already but here are my preferred ones: Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead (not for the zombies because I am not interested at all in this, but for how human beings would deal with a high disaster level that would threaten humanity), Orange Is The New Black, Hannibal, and I love a series that is not on Netflix yet: Orphan Black. I have seen the first season only and look forward to seeing the next ones. I tried Marco Polo this week but it did not catch me... despite the shocking nudity. Ah ah ah... Dr Strangeluv 110 Report post Posted December 18, 2014 Here are some of the wonderful TV series that I binge-watched on Netflix recently. Comedy series: Community; Arested Development; Archer. Science fiction: Firefly, Star Trek Next Generation. Drama: Orange is the New Black, House of Lies. Crime. The Killing, the Shield. All of these are top notch TV series, critically acclaimed or at least worth a look.

Dunstan Ramsay 1882 Report post Posted December 19, 2014 I would highly recommend House of Cards. The US version with Kevin Spacey, very well done and well acted. Season three will be released in the new year. It's a Netflix production, so the best part is they release the whole season at once. I would also recommend Rectify. Another very good show. cinelli 22184 Report post Posted December 19, 2014 The Canadian version has a fraction of the content it had a few years ago. For instance they used to have all the Top Gear but now only a few recent seasons. They had a lot of BBC and only a bit now.

Guest S****r Report post Posted January 8, 2015 I loved the Marco Polo series, too! Just before that I watched Mongol, which was the story of Ghenghis Khan, Kublai Khan's grandfather. It was also excellent. I just finished watching Wentworth, kind of an Australian version of Orange is the New Blalck, only ramped up a notch. It was excellent. It got better and better as it went along.
Ed Davis 110 Report post Posted January 10, 2015 Are we not mentioning movies? Headhunters was fun as was The Caller (although I think they took it off for some reason). American Horror Story is great as well as Breaking Bad.

Aellyn Rose 350 Report post Posted April 10, 2015 "Fat, sick and nearly dead" by Joe Cross A very positive approach to eating well and encouraging others to do so too! This documentary changed my life when I was overworked in a corporate job and nearing burnout. Now much more focused on my health - definitely worth watching. 50 Shades Raven 31380 Report post Posted May 28, 2015 Everything is worthwhile watching on Netflix! No commercials, watch it when you want to watch it. There's nothing compared to it, and I hate being dictated to by cable, haven't had cable in years.
