5 pointsAs some of you know, I give lectures at U of O and Carleton on sex work. There has been an especially high demand due to the court case. While the overwhelming majority of students are respectful and "get it", there is one thing that seems to come up a lot. That is the mandatory STD/STI testing of sex workers. Many students seem to think that forcing sex workers to be tested for STD/STI's on a regular basis would be "good for sex workers and good for society." This bothers me for some many reasons: 1. It perpetuates the stereotype that sex workers are vectors of disease. I think you are at much higher risk picking up a random at a bar than seeing a sex worker! 2. It is paternalistic. Somehow "they" know better than sex workers what is best for them and must enforce it. 3. It would never be done to the general population. What about bars that are frequented often for casual sex or swingers clubs? Are we going to force everyone to have mandatory STD/STI testing before signing up for "AFF - Adult Friend Finder"? 4. It's sexual assault. STD/STI testing is an extremely invasive procedure that involves putting a speculum in your vagina. To force a woman to disrobe and have an instrument inserted in her vagina is sexual assault. 5. Education, not more laws and rules, works best for society. What ever happened to education and accesible services? It's a pain in the ass to get STD tested these days with the Sexual Health Clinic being closed. I would much rather see a focus on education and accessible health care than more laws and rules. Why do people think laws and rules will solve all of society's problems? Well, that's my rant for the day :) I hope this generates some good discussion. Megan

4 pointsSuch an informative thread, thank you very much! When I am engaged by a gentleman for extended hours I am always very frank and explain if this is what he has on his mind I am not the lady for him. You will get your money's worth and more from me, yes I am a paid companion and providing sex is my job. I will not however tolerate being treated as an object without feelings, we all deserve more than this, ladies and gentlemen alike. Thankfully these situations are few and far between. There are more gentlemen in the world than not.:)

3 pointsIt wasn't too long ago that I found out that my son had special needs, and since then I have learned that you find support in the strangest places. Many of the people that I used to hang out with and go out for dinner with are now a little distant! I had a group of friends that I used to do everything with. Now it seems that they just don't understand what is involved when you are raising a child with special needs. As I keep repeating to them that I can't go to a restaurant with my son as he cannot eat 90% of foods that are found in restaurants, they seem the be blaming me for not being around like I used to. Of those friends there is less than a handful that I can count on. As I attend different social events for work or different organizations, I am meeting more and more people that are in similar situations as me. The biggest thing that I came to realize is that almost none of these people are complaining on how hard it is to deal with children?s special needs but more how proud they are of there children?s successes. That is cool! My friends with what you would consider ?normal? kids do nothing but complain on how hard it is to raise them. Even when talking to family members I find that they don't understand or don't want to understand the needs that these children have. It just makes it hard to try and talk to them especially when they think that the reason for his behaviour is because you can?t hit your kids these days. I have been a member here for quite some time and I found out that I can always count on having someone to talk to or hearing something good that happened in someone?s life here on CERB. I have had some long chats with some people on this site about anything and everything. Like I have said in the past, it?s sometimes easer to talk to a stranger then a close friend or relative. From reading the joke to reading the General section, there is always something good or something worth reading. I read a thread on ?our kids little giants? made me feel good, and I read the ?what have you learned here?, and it made me think. I read the ?5 freaking riddles? it made me feel less intelligent. (Thanks for that one) It just goes to show you that you can find support, friendship in the most unusual places. Apex

2 pointsI can see where both sides are coming from here and I have also been a victim of endless penetrative sex. Don't get me wrong I enjoy it but to a point. I get very frustrated when a client wants nothing other then to get inside of me, just to pound away as hard as they can for the remainder of the hour doing nothing to switch it up or keep me involved. It then seems that they themselves become clock watchers waiting and making sure they get that last thrust and then finishing with not even a minute to spare. There isn't a climax or anything just the same thing over and over and it does get very painful. I never want to sound like the person who wants to leave early or just get it done. It gets to the point though when it becomes very obvious that this person is simply pounding away on you and intentionally taking forever just to get their moneys worth, with no intention of making sure you are turned on in the slightest way. Those are the calls that I do not return.

2 pointsThat is a little harsh. It is very much prostitution but it no longer becomes free will. Prostitution is the ONLY high paying job that you do not need to go work for someone else. Massage spa's, strip clubs, agencies even all have set hours and they don't want anyone with a drug addiction in the facilities.... especially if they are leaving all the time to get high. With street prostitution you set your own hours and it's cash. Basically if you are in a bad place it's quick money and your not robbing or stealing from anyone. Really when you think of the alternatives... streetwalking is really not the worst choice by any stretch of the imagination! Who's going to hire you for a 9 to 5 job? Especially one that will pay for the addiction?! The problem is when you have a drug addiction it's really the only choice. You could rob and steal or you could turn to prostitution (Really nothing else exists to choose from other then quitting the drugs and once your addicted that is almost impossible to stop on your own - you really become trapped). It is "Sex Work" but not "escorting" and not the same as massage spa attendants or exotic dancers either. 99% of the ladies online are not drug addicts (Many drink and smoke pot but do not work as an escort to pay for any drug addiction)... What I always say is when do you ever see a crack addict using a computer. They would not own a computer or really have any interest in it... most do not own a cell phone and who would use a internet cafe?? We owned a internet cafe for YEARS with streetwalkers working right in front of it in a downtown location... not ONE streetwalker ever came in to use a computer... but the local escorts sure did!! If you have a chemical addiction your not going to spend 10.00 at a internet cafe... your going to spend it on your addiction. A pimp may place ads on CL and bait and switch guys to come see you in some shady part of town... but thankfully few of the pimps really have much interest in that either. The general public puts all SEX WORKERS and especially all PROSTITUTES into one big group! The public needs to know that streetwalkers (The ones who have addictions and are doing that because they have no choice) are NOT the same as "escorts".. a smaller number of streetwalkers do not deal with pimps, do not do drugs and do not fit the stereotype and I am not sure why they work on the streets as opposed to inside as all of the escorts do here. I see why in a way as it's easy (no phone to answer, no bookings, instant work, instant cash, etc... etc..) but the danger level is way to high and comfort levels are way too low for most people who don't NEED to do that. Maybe some people just don't know how to be an escort and work inside (off the streets) so the laws changing may help those people and for that I would be happy. I think the public things that streetwalkers start off innocent and turn to drugs... personally I think it's the other way around! I think a lot of people turn to street walking AFTER they become addicted (as the addiction grows). At first the addiction can be hidden... you can hold a job and your only spending 20-30 a day on the drug but the addiction grows bigger to the point that you loose your job (or your parents kick you out) or whatever happens happens... and you have NO WHERE to turn to. I know some people are drawn to be a streetwalker (especially at a young age) as they see EASY MONEY and then get trapped in a world of drugs and pimps but I still beleive a MUCH LARGER number of ladies end up addicted to drugs then turn to prostitution AFTER the fact. Am I wrong about this?

1 pointDisclaimer: I realize that the majority of you are paying for a sexual service and that your needs should be met within the boundaries of the escort in question. That is the service I am providing. However, that being said, I would like to call attention to what I like to refer to as "jack-hammering." This is basically extended penetrative sex and nothing else. You may be convinced that good sex requires only penetration and stamina--as well all know, women want a man who can last (I hope you can sense the sarcasm there), or perhaps it is purely selfish on your part, you do want to get your money's worth after all. So you pound your paid sex partner, over and over, squeezing in every possible available second. In which case, I am not a blow-up doll. I am not an object solely for your use. Keep in mind, I do not think it is a problem, for example, if you would like to simply pay to receive a blowjob, provided you realize the skill and time involved in administering a good blowjob. And I do not think penetrative sex itself is bad. But if you are interested in engaging in a full range of sexual behaviour, please realize that "sex" does not simply equal penetration for as long as humanly possible. After awhile it is painful, un-stimulating and rather boring. If a woman is not turned on, she doesn't create those delicious lubricating fluids that can make penetrative sex so wonderful. So take the time to pay attention to things like kissing and groping and licking and nibbling and so on. If the first thing you're going for is penetration, you have skipped so many amazing, naughty fun things to do to one another. While we are providing a very intimate service, aimed at generating your pleasure and satisfaction, we have emotions, and physical limits. So keep that in mind the next time you're with your favourite lady. Happy pooning!

1 pointI'm not really sure why it's that bad... People who work in porn (as far as I know) must produce mandatory std and aids testing before being able to make movies... Plus, as in Australia, we would then have proof that we're not the "unclean" people that people think we are. Why not have some evidence to back our claim? I think if we go against something like such it would probably just open people up to suspicion. Unfortunately, education will not get everyone to the doctors and will not get everyone to stop working when/if they do catch something. I get we can't punish everyone for the bad's of a few... but we don't just hand people drivers licenses and say, "Sure, you could kill someone... but we trust you." Also, ladies... most STD tests can be done through blood work and urine tests... the only thing swabs are very important for are your cancer screenings. (Though swabs can still play and important part in catching things early and ease of diagnostics... ie. cultures.) All escorts (everyone who has sex really,) should have a doctor or health nurse they can get up to date facts on STDs and STIs from... to not is beyond foolish for yourself. After becoming an escort and talking with doctors, I've found there are more STD tests and ways to go about it than "normal" people would go through... like mouth and throat swabs, HPV specific tests... things I never had and barely knew about.... I wish they did std screening for candidates on places like AFF, but then people would just flock to a place that was "easier." ... though I doubt easier and safer go hand in hand much. xo

1 pointI'm going to add one more thing. When I started hobbying not all that long ago, I was more focused on the menu of services the lady provided, and asked for certain "services on the menu" in my emails. Now I'm more focused on having a good time with a lady, and let the encounter run it's course normally, with no expectations ahead of time. Hope that makes sense RG

1 pointI love Heather Carolin. She's not, however, my favorite redhead. My favorite redhead did have an uncanny resemblance to Heather, pictured here. The eyes, the wry smile, the knowing look. This pic could well be of her. I met her in my youth, when I was living in Europe. A musician; our first date was at a concert where she was performing, and I knew right away as I watched her, my eyes riveted on her spinner frame and her every movement, that I was lost. After the concert, I had arranged a party at my flat to celebrate her performance, and she stayed when the other guests left, 'to help me clean up' (she said). I remember vividly the thrill of our first embrace, as I approached her from behind and held her tight, and felt her responding. She turned, and gave me that smile. Then the sparkling eyes, the eyes gleaming as she pleasured me for the first time, a sight I'll never forget. Then my first taste of her, and our rocketing sex. I couldn't keep her long; she had other places to go and things to do. But she's remained an enchanting and a haunting memory all through the years. We met again recently, and the feelings flowed back, as powerfully as on that first embrace. And then she was gone. Next life, if there is such a thing, I get her.
